A day before the journey~

'What the hell is this headache' he gets up putting his hand on his forehead.
Just then an alarm clock near the table rings showing that it is 7 pm. He turns the alarm off and began opening his eyes.
He pauses for bit trying to take in view infront of him. This room was not only not similar but also smaller.
'Am I still dreaming' he pinches his cheek and finds that the pain is real not only did it hurt the body felt much softer.
'wait a minute what happened to my face it feels much softer does that mean–'
He gets off the bed and rushes towards mirror and as he saw himself in it he was shocked not only was this body much younger but it's also different it had long hair covering it's ear and eyes whose colour were grey.
'This is really me' he was touching his face over and over again contemplating the situation before him until he heard a voice downstairs.
"Calemmm if you're awake honey come and have dinner" a woman called down from the stairs as she was finished setting up the table.
'Calem? My name's calem does that mean–' he then rushes towards the window and sees a small bird like creature which look exactly like the Pokemon he had seen in the game. It was then he realised that it was indeed the Pokemon world.
"This is real..." He pauses for a moment then happily shouts "yeah!!!!!!!"
Hearing the noise the small bird Pokemon flew away from the place.
"Calem honey are you okay?" his mother asked concerned.
"It's nothing" he replied with a grin.
He then went down stairs and saw his mother then goes to the kitchen where he takes a seat at the table.
"Looks like someone's already very excited for his journey tommorow" the mother says as she he puts the food on the table.
'Journey? Tommorow? So I'm going start tommorow'. "um yes that has been on my mind since yesterday" he replies enthusiastically.

He puts on his shirt, cap, shoes and bag on then goes to to mirror to check himself properly.
'Nice'
'Last night i found out that we just moved in to vanville town anyway i should get going'
He goes downstairs and says his byes to his mom and goes outside.
Instead of seeing someone he had expected from the games there was no one outside.
'What's This?'
'where's Shauna and Serena?'
'I'm pretty sure serena was supposed to be my next door neighbour'
'would it rude if I go to greet them?'
He thinks of a scenario for a moment.
'Well you know what I'll do it what's the worse that could happen'
He walks towards the naosaga residence and rings the door bell.
'Okay just be cool'
As the door opens he sees a woman around the same age as her mom.
"How can I help you?" She asked.
"I'm your next door neighbour we just moved in yesterday but we couldn't greet you that day my mom's a bit busy now so, I came alone" he replies.
"I see i see" she mutters.
"Mom who is it?" Asks a girl inside.
"Serena honey it's our new neighbour" her mother replies.
She comes towards the door and sees a boy who's taller than her by an inch.
"Hi my name's calem Xavier nice to meet you" he introduced.
"Serena naosaga likewise" she replied.
"Calem you look like you're going somewhere" her mother asked.
"Uh yes I'm going to luminose city to get my starter" he answered
"Already starting your journey just after moving in you don't waste time do you" serena chimed in.
"Maybe someday, I'll also go on journey too" serena says.
"I have a feeling that'll be soon. So, be ready when we meet I'll challenge you to a battle" he replies with a smirk showing his clenched first.
After a bit of talking he left and set out straight to the station.
Not long after while on the way he remembers that he forgot something so, he went back home to get it which his mother bought before they settled which was a ultra ball.
He then walks out of the house now going straight to his destination 'would've troublesome if i had forgot to bring it. Now I just need to save it till I see rare one'
'i don't know much about the anime but assuming that this is timeline is from the anime, i think I'll see ash here'
'i still remember that in the anime the battle rules are very different from the games. I can continuously command my Pokemon without waiting for the others turn along with the fact the terrains are also affected unlike game the the games I can use the types moves to my advantage'
'From what I've heard Ash's still the protagonist in the anime and his story is still continuing in my previous life I heard that it's the galar region from sword and shield now'
He stops and hold his head in confusion ' I've only seen the anime till up to the johto arc i don't know shit about this Arc I'm only upto date on the games'
Some people on the road who saw him looked at him with concerned.
A man came up to him asked " hey, kid you okay?"
Realising his situation he turns to the man "no nothing sir" he replies waving both his hands.
"Are you sure?" The man asked
"Yes, I'm pretty sure sir thanks for the concern" he runs off after saying it.
As he slows down ' i shouldn't stand out acting awkward while having thoughts'
'Anyways I'm already close to the station.'

He was now in the train looking for his seat he first enters the A class section then goes out immediately seeing how everything was fancy. He then sees the train mistress and walks over to her.
"Um do you know where the B–20"
"It's just over there near the window Sir" the mistress points to the front of the seat.
"I see thanks" he says with a small smile.
As he settle down on his seat he puts his arm on the window edge holding his head on his back hand and looks out the window.
'it's going to be a long hell of ride isn't it?'
'I'm still undecided on what to choose. I mean they're all good. '
' I should just put that aside for now. There's still something i don't understand how did the old calem got in touch with professor sycamore i mean he did talked to sycamore through the emails about helping him with his research which the original calem had quite the knowledge of it considering how young he is, well not on my level though'
'Sycamore also said in his email that I can do other things like participating in the league and the contest if I want while keeping my research updated which calem replied with maybe'
' Anyways, I shouldn't think too deeply about our 1st encounter to be it's not like he'll be asking a lot of about it or anything. I just need to go with the flow and see how it'll lead me'
He closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep.
