Chapter 26 - The First Day at U.A. — The Hidden Power Unleashed

The sun rose over U.A. High School, bathing the sprawling campus in a warm, golden light. Excitement and nervous energy buzzed through the crowd of new students gathered at the entrance. Young hopefuls, each bearing dreams of becoming heroes, chatted eagerly.

Among them stood Izuku Midoriya, clutching his acceptance letter tightly, but more importantly, ready for what lay ahead. Unlike most, Izuku wasn't alone in his secret. Beside him was Momo Yaoyorozu, his closest confidante and partner in training. Together, they had spent months honing their skills—his magic, carefully concealed as an energy-manipulation quirk, and her creation quirk blended with stealth and support techniques inspired by her Black Widow-like training.

Momo's calm presence was his anchor. While her magic use was tentative—still trial and error—she understood the stakes better than anyone.

The day began as expected. Teachers called roll, introduced themselves, and laid down the rules. The students were ushered into a large gymnasium for their initial fitness and skill assessments. Aizawa Shouta, their homeroom teacher, stood stern and unyielding, his tired eyes scanning the crowd.

"I don't care about your dreams or quirks right now," he said bluntly. "I want to see your basics. Physical ability, mental toughness, and how you handle stress."

One by one, students stepped up to the tests. Push-ups, sit-ups, running laps—standard stuff, but challenging for many. Izuku moved with quiet focus, careful not to reveal too much of his secret power, yet eager to impress.

The first series of challenges passed with little incident until the final test: the ball throw.

Aizawa explained the task. "Throw the ball as far as you can. Distance matters. Technique matters."

The students lined up. When it was Izuku's turn, he stepped forward, the gym silent with anticipation. They've heard of him and what he did during the Entrance exam.

He gripped the ball tightly. His first throw was controlled, almost tentative. He held back, fearful of revealing too much or losing control. The ball sailed a fair distance, but it wasn't enough.

Aizawa's sharp voice cut through the tension.

"Midoriya, you're holding back. Try again. No excuses."

Taking a deep breath, Izuku let go of his fears. His eyes flickered with the familiar chaotic glow. Momo watched intently, ready to aid if needed.

With every ounce of his strength, Izuku hurled the ball farther than anyone expected.

Before cheers could break out, Aizawa activated his quirk, attempting to suppress Izuku's energy manipulation. Instead, the action unleashed a surge of raw, chaotic magic that roared inside Izuku. For a fleeting moment, his vision pierced through reality, glimpsing a shadowy figure—the ruler of the chaotic realm—watching silently from beyond.

His eyes blazed with an eerie light as the magic burst forth, sending the ball flying like a comet.

But the effort drained him. His knees buckled, blood trickling from his nose as he collapsed.

The gym fell silent.

Bakugo's voice snapped through the quiet, disdain thick in every word. "He's just making a damn fool of himself."

Only Momo knew the truth behind that display—the chaotic magic concealed beneath Izuku's guise—and she was ready to support him, just as she always had.
