According to legend, Mew holds the genetic blueprint of all Pokémon.
It can learn any move, regardless of type.
It's said to be the origin of all Pokémon.
But beyond that...
Mew is known for being playful and mischievous by nature, brimming with curiosity.
Yet its temperament is unpredictable.
It exists beyond human emotions, desires, or moral reasoning.
And because of that, there's a side to Mew that's both pure and cruel.
Some ancient texts even describe it as "an existence beyond human understanding."
"Mii~ Mii~"
Floating lazily through the air, Mew hovered nearby, eyeing Sam and the others with childlike wonder.
Despite being forced out of hiding just moments ago by Darkrai, it didn't seem angry at all.
If anything, it looked intrigued.
Sam raised a hand to signal Darkrai to stand down.
"I just wanted to let you know that there was no need for another attack."
If they provoked it again, Mew might take it personally.
And that wouldn't end well.
In the anime and games, Mew was never depicted as especially aggressive.
But Sam knew better.
This wasn't a game.
Mew was a Mythical Pokémon, technically a second-tier legendary.
If it got serious, none of them would leave here alive.
Whoosh!
Mew blinked out of view, then reappeared right in front of Sam.
So close, he could feel the warmth of its breath.
Their faces were nearly touching.
The tiny Pokémon tilted its head, studying him with wide, shimmering eyes.
There was intelligence behind them, a sharp contrast to their otherwise childlike behavior.
It sensed something different about this human.
Sam held its gaze and smiled gently, trying to convey peaceful intentions.
He focused, reaching out with the power of his aura.
He wanted to connect.
Show Mew that he wasn't a threat.
But the moment his aura reached out, it vanished, swallowed up like a pebble dropped into the ocean.
No connection.
The aura had no effect.
"Mii~ Mii~"
Mew chirped again, seemingly satisfied with its inspection.
In a blink, it vanished, reappearing a few hundred meters away without a sound.
Its long tail swayed behind it in the breeze.
"Mii~"
Tree of Life stood tall in the distance, surrounded by the jagged stone formations known as the World Rock.
Suddenly, those surrounding formations began to tremble.
A deep rumble echoed through the air, like something heavy being stirred awake.
Sam's eyes narrowed.
At the base of the Tree, there were three distinct pathways: left, center, and right.
And from each direction, a figure began to emerge.
Three Pokémon.
"Regirock, the Titan of Stone!"
"Regice, the Titan of Ice!"
"Registeel, the Titan of Steel!"
Sam recognized them instantly, the legendary trio known as the Three Titans.
Massive, ancient, and brimming with silent power, the three Pokémon emerged slowly from the shadows at the base of the Tree of Life.
Their heavy steps echoed like thunder across the rocky clearing.
Sam narrowed his eyes and activated the Eye of Detection, allowing data to stream into his vision like a digital overlay.

Sam took in the information calmly. He wasn't surprised.
The Three Legendary Titans were known to guard the Tree of Life in ancient records.
Their presence here meant things were unfolding just like in the deep lore he remembered.
But something bothered him.
"'Inactive?'"
He glanced again at the status display.
All three showed "Inactive" under Contest State, clearly dormant.
It meant they weren't hostile yet… or perhaps not fully awakened.
Before he could think further, Mew floated down beside the Titans.
Its long tail flicked lightly, like flipping a switch.
In that instant, the glowing runes on each Titan's body came to life, one by one, pulsing like slowly beating hearts.
The Contest State changed.
[Contest State: Active]
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted.
Power.
Raw, legendary power radiated from the Titans, pressing down on the battlefield like a weight in the air.
Sam could feel it; his hair stood on end, his instincts going on high alert.
"Mii~ Mii~"
Mew circled the reawakened Titans, clearly pleased.
Then, with an impish gleam in its big blue eyes, it pointed its tail directly at Sam.
As if following a silent command, the Three Titans turned in unison.
Their glowing eyes fixed on him.
"Mii~!"
Mew gave a high-pitched chirp, voice filled with excitement, like a child setting up a game.
Boom.
Boom.
Boom.
The earth shook with each synchronized step as the Titans began to move, marching straight toward Sam.
The ground cracked beneath their weight.
And then,
Ding!
A system notification echoed inside Sam's mind.
