Chapter 300: Rebellion! In League with the 'White Elder' Halisha

Two arm-thick bolts of white lightning erupted in mid-air, twisting and contorting into spears of lightning that blasted towards them in an instant!

The pupils of the White Mist Witch and Khajiit contracted. Before they even had time for panic to set in, their vision was completely enveloped by the dazzling lightning.

*Dragon Lightning!*

With a crackle.

An even more blindingly brilliant, dragon-shaped bolt of lightning was released from Tang Zheng's arm, colliding with the two incoming bolts of white lightning.

BOOM—

A bluish-white fissure appeared in mid-air, splitting into a thousand forks the moment it exploded, releasing a burst of lightning.

The intense heat generated by the astonishing collision of lightning filled the air with a faint, scorched scent.

An invisible shockwave radiated outwards.

The White Mist Witch and Khajiit staggered back two steps, their expressions a mixture of panic and astonishment, before steadying themselves.

Tang Zheng stood silently in place, his red robe flapping wildly in the blast. He lifted his hooded face, looking behind him.

To everyone's surprise, the attackers were two maggots with warty feet and slightly different colorations. They were none other than the Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch, who had until now been utterly subservient.

"This isn't some special holiday for you demi-humans, is it?"

Tang Zheng was inwardly surprised, clearly taken aback by this sudden turn of events. He spoke calmly, "I don't recall preparing such a delightful surprise."

"So, the two of you have decided you've lived long enough, is that it?"

The Pandes Matriarch retracted the warty feet on her head, still showing some fear towards Tang Zheng.

The Blue Maggot King, however, wriggled its body forward a step. "This ends now! Did you really think we demi-humans would submit to you humans!"

"I am the King of the Blue Maggot Tribe!"

"And I am the Pandes Matriarch, one of the demi-human tribes of the hills! Even if I must sacrifice my life today, I will drive you humans out!"

The Pandes Matriarch's voice, though somewhat melodic, was sonorous and firm with conviction.

Seeing the Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch, who had always been so fearful and respectful in his presence, Tang Zheng couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

If he didn't know for a fact that these two were the genuine article, he would have suspected they had been swapped out for impostors.

"Have you two gone mad!" the White Mist Witch exclaimed, stepping forward gracefully and staring in disbelief at the two traitors.

"The prince and princess of both your tribes are in the Master's hands!"

This scene had unfolded too suddenly.

The White Mist Witch was both shocked and enraged. If the Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch were rebelling, it meant their two tribes had completely turned against them as well.

The Master's plan would likely be severely impacted!

The problem was that she was normally in charge of watching the prince and princess of the two tribes, so it was highly likely something had gone wrong on her end.

Tang Zheng was curious as well. The only reason the two tribes had been so obedient was because he held their heirs.

"Hmph, my heir Beibeijie and the Princess of Pandes have already been rescued."

The Blue Maggot King snorted coldly, glaring at Tang Zheng. "As for the accursed power you vile human left in their bodies, we received assistance from the Guardian Fairies and have dispelled the curse."

"Now, we are free!"

No wonder.

Tang Zheng's eyes narrowed slightly. So these demi-humans really were plotting behind his back. He hadn't paid them much mind, but he hadn't expected such a surprise.

Guardian Fairies?

He knew of this special demi-human race. They were extremely rare and few in number. It was said they possessed the ability to freely change their size, and that some individuals among them had special abilities.

Tang Zheng raised an arm, brushing off the dust kicked up by the magical shockwave. "I must commend your courage."

"However, with just your power, it's not nearly enough. Isn't that right, Demonkin Queen... and our other guest?"

Tang Zheng's gaze passed over the Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch, focusing on a spot further behind them.

Since the Blue Maggot and Pandes tribes were acting up, Tang Zheng doubted the other demi-human races were uninvolved.

"Just as I thought, he found us. I told you not to use such petty tricks," came a steady, coarse, and world-weary voice.

The voice of the demonkin, Nasurini, followed. "Underestimate this human, and you will suffer for it. The Gray King died at his hands."

As these two voices spoke.

In the empty space behind the Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch, the air distorted, and the demonkin Nasurini appeared alongside a demi-human resembling an ape with pure white fur. The ape was adorned with gleaming golden accessories that served as armor.

Second Tier *Invisibility*—dispelled!

The Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch each took a step back, clearing a path.

"The Gray King? Hmph!"

"That stinking rat. He was an arrogant fool who relied on nothing more than fur harder than iron and his plague-poisoning tricks."

The long, white-furred ape spoke as if to himself, taking heavy strides forward. A pair of bestial, violet-glowing pupils sized up Tang Zheng as the ape bared its teeth in a savage grin.

"It's only natural he'd be killed after running into a Magic Caster he couldn't reach in close combat."

A pure, bloodthirsty malice emanated from the white-furred ape, giving one the feeling of being targeted by a vicious beast.

The White Mist Witch and Khajiit clearly felt the pressure. Faced with such an undisguised, powerful and hostile aura, beads of cold sweat formed on their brows.

Unlike Magic Casters.

The stronger a warrior is, the more they emanate a unique, imposing presence.

It was an oppressive feeling, as if born from a disparity in their very level of existence. In contrast, it was difficult to discern the strength of a Magic Caster unless they actually attacked.

The demonkin Nasurini also stepped forward, standing together with the long-furred ape.

"Well, it seems a new character has entered the stage." Tang Zheng's gaze fell upon the long-furred ape, a guess already forming in his mind.

"Nasurini, it seems you've also chosen betrayal."

"Betrayal? What are you talking about, human!"

The demonkin Nasurini clenched a fist. "After you killed so many of our tribesmen, did you really think this old one would genuinely side with you?"

"To you humans, a century is a lifetime, but we demonkin live three or four times as long."

"For an inferior race such as yours to think you could conquer us demi-humans is simply laughable!"

At this point.

The demonkin Nasurini suppressed her inner rage and suddenly let out a laugh. "Speaking of which, I really must thank you, human. For gathering such a large amount of food for us."

The air fell silent at that moment.

The White Mist Witch glanced nervously at Tang Zheng, panic in her eyes. It wasn't panic over the situation at hand, but the fear of completely infuriating her Master.

Clap! Clap!

"As I thought, I'm still a bit too easily influenced by superficial matters."

Tang Zheng raised his hands and clapped, letting out a faint sigh. "I recall that the last demi-human who truly impressed me was a Hobgoblin named Muguo."

"Hmph!"

The demonkin Nasurini clearly didn't understand what Tang Zheng was talking about, but the fact that he was comparing her to an inferior race like goblins made her snort in anger.

"Ha, interesting." The white-furred ape could detect the disdain for demi-humans in Tang Zheng's tone, and his violet eyes grew even colder.

"I am Halisha Ankara, King of the Stone-Eating Apes. I will be the one to finish you. So, do you have any last words, human!"

Halisha, the 'White Elder,' also one of the 'Ten Evils of the Demi-Humans,' raised a thick, long arm covered in white fur and spoke with a clenched fist.

Tang Zheng flipped his hand over, his right hand emerging from his sleeve, the Orb of Death held in his palm.

"Two of the Ten Evils of the Demi-Humans, two Magic Casters who have mastered 4th Tier Magic... this has finally piqued my interest."

Tang Zheng let out a cold laugh.

"Attack!" the demonkin Nasurini cried out first.

"*4th Tier Magic: Silver Knight's Lance!*"

"*4th Tier Magic: Yin-Five Elements, Thunder Marquis Summoning!*"

"*4th Tier Magic: Yang-Five Elements, Thunder Marquis Summoning!*"

The Blue Maggot King and the Pandes Matriarch cast their magic again without the slightest hesitation.

Two bolts of surging lightning attacked from the left and right, while a two-meter-long silver knight's lance rapidly materialized in mid-air and shot forward simultaneously.

Faced with magical attacks coming from three directions at once.

The Orb of Death in Tang Zheng's hand emitted a spectral glow.

"ROAR!"

A roar that was part beast, part dragon, thundered through the sky.

A massive magic circle appeared, and from it emerged the form of a Bone Dragon, shielding Tang Zheng and his two companions.

The two bolts of lightning and the silver knight's lance, carrying astonishing power, struck the Bone Dragon at the same time!

However.

A glint of magic power flashed across the Bone Dragon's body, and the three seemingly powerful magical attacks dissipated like foam.

At that very moment!

The 'White Elder' Halisha also sprang into action. Despite his somewhat bulky frame, a single leap brought him just in front of the Bone Dragon.

"Ptoo!"

"Ptoo!"

The 'White Elder' Halisha puffed up his cheeks and rapidly spat two pebbles from his mouth.

*Stone Spit!*

The pebbles, imbued with a special power, shot out like two missiles and precisely struck both of the Bone Dragon's wings.

The Stone-Eating Ape tribe can spit out the stones they consume, easily launching them over a hundred meters with enough force to dent iron plate.

When using their special power, the stones they spit are even more destructive!

Crack—Crack—

BANG!

The extraordinary force shattered both of the Bone Dragon's wings at once. The creature, which had been preparing to take flight, crashed directly to the ground with a heavy thud.

"Success!"

Seeing this, the 'White Elder' Halisha grinned, took a large stride, and arrived in front of the fallen Bone Dragon.

"*Golden Bare-Hand Strike!*"

The 'White Elder' Halisha bellowed. His fists, along with the golden magical items adorning his entire body, all erupted in a golden light.

His powerful fists became a blur, raining a dense barrage of blows upon the Bone Dragon, sending shattered bone fragments flying.

The 'White Elder' Halisha beat the entire Bone Dragon into splinters!

As he gazed at the scene of flying bone dust.

A flicker of astonishment crossed the 'White Elder' Halisha's eyes. "So weak? Didn't Nasurini say this Bone Dragon was formidable?"

He felt as if a single normal punch could have shattered it. Instead, he'd listened to the demonkin Nasurini's nonsense and wasted a special technique for nothing.

With the Bone Dragon destroyed, the 'White Elder' Halisha saw Tang Zheng just a short distance away. He felt that with a single stride, he could rush forward and tear the human Magic Caster to pieces.

However!

Magic Casters all possessed bizarre abilities. To be safe, and to stick to the plan...

Bang!

The ground trembled.

The 'White Elder' Halisha did not press forward. Instead, he kicked off the ground and rapidly retreated to create distance, while still remaining close enough to quickly engage in close combat.

Almost at the same time.

"*Thunderstorm Knight's Lance!*"

"*Ice Burial Knight's Lance!*"

"*Flame Incineration Knight's Lance!*"

Three spells were cast at once, flying from behind them to blast towards Tang Zheng's position.

As he felt the three spells fly over his head, a chill ran through the 'White Elder' Halisha. His violet eyes remained fixed on Tang Zheng, and his powerful legs tensed in preparation.

It would be too boring if he couldn't block them.

If he managed to block them, Halisha would seize the opening created by the defense to instantly attack and finish the human.

"Don't disappoint me, human," a bloodthirsty smile spread across the 'White Elder' Halisha's face.

Vmmm—

Suddenly, another magic circle appeared at the human's feet.

A brand-new Bone Dragon emerged from the magic circle, easily blocking the attack of the three Knight's Lances.

"How can this be!!" the demonkin Nasurini cried out weakly in astonishment.

Even without being an expert on the undead, as a Magic Caster, the demonkin Nasurini knew perfectly well that a special undead like a Bone Dragon couldn't possibly be summoned by normal means.

There had to be some kind of restriction!

"I never said I could only summon one," Tang Zheng stated calmly.

"Tch! Then I'll just take care of it again!" the 'White Elder' Halisha laughed, unconcerned, as he prepared to charge.

"You've run out of chances." Tang Zheng brought two fingers together, flicked them upward, and chanted, "*Mass Domain of Fire.*"

Whoosh!

Scorching flames erupted from the ground, instantly transforming into fiery snakes that bound the 'White Elder' Halisha and the others where they stood.

Multiple debuffs—Blindness and Silence—descended upon them all at once!

The three Magic Casters—the demonkin Nasurini, the Blue Maggot King, and the Pandes Matriarch—instantly lost all ability to resist.

Only the 'White Elder' Halisha, being a [Monk], was still able to struggle, roaring furiously as he tried to break free from the fiery restraints.

"*Arrow Step Dash!*"

"*Outer Skin Reinforcement?*"

"*Magic Resistance Enhancement?!*"

"How can this be?! Damn it! I'll tear you to shreds, human!"

The 'White Elder' Halisha could only struggle with brute force. His long, pure-white fur was scorched black, and the intense heat relentlessly drained his stamina.

Compared to the Domain of Sand, the Domain of Fire didn't just inflict the same effects.

The flames themselves also dealt continuous damage, especially when enhanced by his passive, Elemental Blessing, which made the magic even more powerful.

"It seems this is your limit."

"And so, farewell everyone!"

Tang Zheng watched dispassionately as the demi-humans were scorched by the flames, their pained cries, wretched screams, and furious roars filling the air. He calmly raised his palm and aimed it at them.

Meanwhile!

Elsewhere.

On the chaotic battlefield, the Alliance Leader, protected by Fifth-Tier Undead Heavy Armor Skeleton Warriors, steadily advanced toward the center.

"Oh? It seems rather lively over there."

The Alliance Leader suddenly stopped and glanced in Tang Zheng's direction. "I suppose I'd better speed things up over here, too."

He was heading directly for the location where Gagaran and 'Demon Claw' Weijie were locked in a fierce battle.

If one were to look down from the sky at this moment, they would see Skeleton Griffins continuously attacking the demi-humans on the ground, tossing the corpses of the slain to specific locations.

The vast quantities of demi-human corpses and blood were gradually forming the pattern of some kind of ritual.
