Chapter 62 - Volume 1, Chapter 61 — The Beginning Experience exchange competition

"Arthur looked straight into Yu Lan's eyes and said,

'Maybe we should stop. We have guests here,' Arthur spoke with a smile on his face.

Yu Lan looked at him as if he were an idiot and said,

'I know. Then let's begin the competition.'

Turning around, Arthur and Yu Lan glanced toward the students. Arthur's eyes caught David and Emma, widening slightly.

He thought,

'Oh, this is interesting.'

Yu Lan also looked at them, but not a single emotion appeared on his face. Then he began to speak,

'Today, the American and Chinese teams will exchange their experience in battles against demons, as well as in combat with one another.

The clan heads are waiting for us at the surveillance platform. Lord Chhol will lead you to the forest. I hope this exchange of experience becomes a good beginning for all of you,' Yu Lan said with a calm and serene expression.

'Yes,' everyone replied.

'Excellent. Then, Lord Chhol, lead them,' Yu Lan continued.

'Yes,' Chhol answered.

Chhol looked at everyone and said,

'Follow me.'

And so they began to leave. Vincent stayed behind and, looking at the two strongest men, sweat slid down his face.

'Ehh… even when they hide their energy, they still radiate such terrifying power,' he thought.

'Well, whatever. I'll head to the surveillance platform.' With that, he left for the platform.

Meanwhile, the students followed Chhol. When they reached one door, Chhol said,

'The Chinese academy team, wait here. When the doors open, you may begin.

The American team, follow me.'

With those words, they began to move away.

Scratching his ear, Xing said,

'Oh God, did they really want to separate us so we wouldn't interfere with each other right away?'

Lao Wei also said,

'Then we act according to plan. We only need at least one.'

Li Kun looked at them and said,

'My robotic insects have been placed on their bodies, so I'll know where they are.'

Zhao Lan smirked,

'Hah, excellent work,' she said with a smile on her face.

Bo Hai groaned,

'Oh, come on, when will the doors open?'

Xing lowered his gaze and said,

'Don't you understand? I want to deal with him personally, so don't interfere.'

And then the doors began to open. David's team remained calm, and David said,

'We act according to plan.'

With those words, David's team was about to move out, but suddenly, demons of the lowest rank fell from the trees — more than ten of them.

Leo immediately stepped forward, taking down two with precise strikes. Emma cut down two with her sword, and David shouted,

'Noah, quickly, give it to me!'

Noah looked at David, and from his soul space, he pulled out David's sword and tossed it to him.

Grabbing his sword, David unsheathed it and also cut down two. Noah did the same, and so did Sai.

All ten of the low-ranking demons fell.

At the surveillance platform, more than twelve people were seated.

The head of the Asimat clan began to speak. He was tall, with red eyes and hair.

'These kids are not bad, don't you think?' he said.

The head of the Yamiage clan, who was hidden behind a mask and black robes, replied,

'I think so too, clan head. After all, my son is among them.'

Even through the mask, one could sense that he was smiling.

Someone suddenly laughed loudly,

'Hahahaha!'

Everyone turned to look at him.

'What's so funny, Clan Head Sakuragawa?' asked the head of the Yamiage clan.

'What's so funny? Your son is nothing compared to my grandson!' His appearance was aged — with pink hair and eyes of the same color.

Arthur looked at everyone and said,

'Guys, gu

ys, why argue? Hm? Maybe we shouldn't?'

Everyone looked at him but could not say a word."
