I had thought he had already gone all the way. In fact, he really had. Ren's right hand had pierced clean through the girl's abdomen. She was groaning, blood dripping and flowing onto the grimy pavement.
"Murder…" My mind reeled. I had thought it was a compensated date, but I had stumbled upon a bloody murder scene. My legs began to go soft, and I wanted to escape, but they seemed to be nailed to the ground.
Before I could move, the girl's murmur suddenly changed. "Ah! You can see! I… I… I'm going to eat you!!!" Her neck suddenly elongated, lunging at Ren like a grotesque snake. She had turned into a monster, her mouth opening to reveal bloody, sharp teeth.
Ren, however, was calm. He raised his hand and delivered a swift, powerful slap. Clap! The sound was crisp and loud. The slap sent her head flying, crashing heavily onto the ground.
"???" The monster's face made intimate contact with the concrete, her expression dumbfounded. But soon, she came to her senses, gave Ren a gloomy look, and then turned her target to the short-skirted girl at the alley entrance.
I suddenly shivered. The monster girl looked crazed. "You can see me, right?! You can see me! You must see me!!! I'm going to eat you!" She didn't wait for an answer, already rushing towards me, her hideous face and gaping maw impacting my mind.
"No… don't come over!!!" My mind went blank, fear eroding my body. I was too scared to move, only able to watch helplessly as she approached.
"Five Thunder Rectification: Yin Thunder!" a clear voice rang out.
A black, fluid-like substance surged from Ren's hand, spreading along the monster's body. In the blink of an eye, she was enveloped. The next moment, "Zzzzzzz!" black lightning burst forth, the hum of electricity deafening.
