Chapter 41: Aki Tomoya Completely Annihilated
"Don't worry, I'm here," Ren softly assured her, his voice a calm anchor in the storm of their fear.
When the monster fully emerged, its five twisted, sharp claws clawed into the surrounding walls, supporting its newly materialized body of black substance. It could now truly affect reality.
However, when the monster lifted its face, Ren was surprised once again. Although it was covered in disgusting, writhing flesh, traces of a human face could still be discerned.
"Aki Tomoya?" Ren blurted out.
"What?" Sayuri and Eriri looked up in astonishment. It was indeed him. They would never forget that face.
Sayuri covered her mouth, terrified. "That scumbag who pushed Eriri into the abyss!"
Tears welled up, and Eriri broke down crying again. "Why?! Why won't you let me go even after you're dead? You demon!"
"Khehehehe!" Aki's eyeballs rotated 360 degrees, before he roared in a hoarse, disgusting voice, "Traitors and bastards! A pair of adulterers! I'm dead! Hahahaha!" He shrieked with a twisted expression. "Because of you two, I died! It's all because of you!"
Then he quickly became gloomy. "Hahaha, but I've gained new life, new power." As if to show off, he swung a claw, and the nearby refrigerator was sent flying, crashing against the wall with a deafening clang and shattering into pieces.
"See! This is the power I brought back from hell! The power to take revenge on you two bitches!" his demeanor was crazed. He wanted to see fear on Ren's face, but the result left him disappointed. Ren was calm and unconcerned, even looking utterly disappointed.
"What do you mean by this? Are you stunned by my power?"
"Power? Heh. You don't even know what power is," Ren scoffed. "This is just a bit of brute strength. Watch closely, this is what power is."
Snap! He snapped his fingers. Five Thunder Rectification: Yin Thunder!
Aki didn't see anything. He was about to sneer when he felt something from the ground clinging to his body. "What the hell is this?!" The monster's body twisted, trying to break free from the black, viscous substance that enveloped it. It even used its mouth to bite, all to no avail.
In a moment, he was completely unable to move, his entire body covered by the Yin Thunder. Ren thoughtfully left his head uncovered so he could enjoy his bewildered expression.
"Thank you for crawling back from hell. You're done now. Go back." As soon as his words fell, Buzz! Crackle! Black lightning raged throughout the room, only bypassing the area where Ren stood.
"Ahhhhh!" The lightning storm furiously blasted Aki's body, the pain like invisible blades slicing away his flesh. His wails echoed in the room.
This scene caused a tumultuous storm in Eriri and Sayuri's hearts. Why does Ren-kun possess such power? After feeling the safety he brought, fear receded, and curiosity stirred.
The black lightning lasted less than 5 seconds. Aki had already gone silent. With a wave of his hand, the Yin Thunder dissipated. Aki's body had turned to energy ash and disappeared.
"Is it over?" Eriri's red lips mumbled. She finally couldn't support herself and collapsed. The shock of fear receded, and her body became weak. Sayuri also relaxed her stiff body. She walked to her husband with a frown and tested his breath.
"Dad…" Eriri asked cautiously.
Sayuri didn't speak, just shook her head silently. He was dead.
Eriri looked dazed. She didn't know what feelings she should have. Sayuri didn't have many thoughts; there was no longer any affection between them. But when someone dies, things get complicated, not to mention a foreign minister. In Eriri's opinion, the matter was over. Sayuri, however, had a headache about what would come next.
