Chapter 43: The Fighting Game, Eriri's Exaggerated Combat Power!
One hour later, Sayuri was still awake, listening to the wall. She couldn't sleep at all. The sounds from next door were unmistakable—the rhythmic creaking of a bed, punctuated by her daughter's sharp cries and soft moans. It was like a "fighting game," and it was quite noisy.
Sigh. Sayuri sat up, turned on the TV, and, bored, decided to play some actual games. She lost to the AI at the same time Eriri lost in who knows which round of her own game.
The next morning, Sayuri, who hadn't slept all night, silently washed her own soaked bedsheets and nightgown. Finally, she mustered the courage to knock on Ren's door.
The door opened. It was Ren, bare-chested, water stains in his hair. He had just finished showering. Sayuri looked at his muscular physique, then with difficulty averted her gaze and tentatively asked, "Ren-kun, have you seen Eriri? I saw she wasn't home this morning."
"…" Ren glanced back into the bedroom where a lump under the covers was sleeping soundly. After a moment, he said, "Sayuri-san, Eriri has been under too much stress. She wanted me to help her relieve it. She just fell asleep, so she probably won't be able to go to school today."
He was telling the truth. She had accumulated a lot of stress, which was also why she could "play fighting games" for so long with such surprising stamina.
"…" Sayuri's eye twitched. What kind of stress relief makes someone unable to get out of bed for a whole day?! she screamed internally.
But on the surface, she still smiled. "Indeed. Then I'll trouble you to take good care of her, Ren-kun."
He nodded. "Don't worry. I've also taken a leave of absence."
Sayuri walked away with a wobbly gait. Ren returned to the room, hung his own washed sheets to dry, then returned to the bedroom.
"No…" Eriri was still mumbling in her sleep.
"…" He couldn't help but smile wryly. He had indeed gone too far. But she had asked for it herself. She was very formidable.
He opened his arm, letting her rest her head on it. Who would have thought she would skillfully snuggle up and clamp his leg with hers. Feeling the urge to play again, he quickly opened the Chat Group to distract himself.
Something seemed to have happened.
