Chapter: The Ghost and The Blade (II)
Joongoo's eyes flicked left. Then right.
He was making sure — no exits, no interference. This was going to be a clean fight.
His smirk widened.
"Let's see you slip away now, bastard."
And then—
CLANG.
The first strike came fast — a horizontal slash that aimed for Yuujin's side.
But Yuujin blocked it. Barely.
His iron bangle rang like steel against steel.
Joongoo leapt back, spun midair, and sliced again — this time arcing downward.
"Why the fuck are you blocking now? You didn't block shit from Kitae!"
The blade grazed Yuujin's arm — shallow, but enough to draw blood.
Joongoo landed, noticing the cut.
"Ow, shucks," he muttered, disappointed. "Didn't even slice it clean."
But before he could capitalize—
Yuujin closed the distance.
It was instant. No feint, no buildup, just gone. In his face.
Joongoo moved on reflex — blade swung low and up.
SLASH.
No contact.
Nothing.
Joongoo's eyes widened in disbelief.
Yuujin had jumped over him.
Over a 6'3" swordsman, with almost no speed or run-up. Just raw control.
Joongoo spun around. So did everyone else watching.
That's when they all realized—
Yuujin wasn't fighting.
He was doing nothing.
He blocked.
He dodged.
He avoided.
But he never attacked.
Joongoo gritted his teeth.
"Why the fuck aren't you doing anything?!"
Yuujin stood there. Silent.
His face calm. That dead eye still hidden by messy bangs. Just breathing.
Joongoo smirked.
"Heh. You think I'm a fucking joke?"
He grabbed the sheath slung behind him. The real fight mode.
Yuujin tilted his head slightly. Then finally spoke.
"It's too much hassle."
He adjusted his wrist. The blood was still dripping slowly from the shallow cut.
"You're only attacking the body."
"It's not… stimulating enough."
Joongoo raised a brow, his face unreadable.
Then his lips parted into a wide, mad grin.
"Ahh… So you're a fuckingpervert like Gun."
Yuujin's eyes narrowed slightly.
"…So you know Gun Park too."
Joongoo chuckled.
"There ain't a single motherfucker in Seoul who doesn't."
"But you…" he tilted his head, sword and sheath resting like wings,
"…why the fuck are you so obsessed with him?"
Yuujin's face broke into a grin — his third time smiling that night.
A smile with teeth. Wild. Unsettling.
"Because…"
"…He made me satisfied."
Silence.
Even the Incheon crew flinched.
Jake Kim blinked. Daniel looked like he forgot how to breathe.
Then Joongoo burst out laughing.
"I didn't know Gun was fucking gay!"
He slammed his sheath onto his shoulder, cracking his neck like a wolf ready to pounce.
Yuujin's eyes darkened.
No more dodging. No more blocking.
Just pure, clean intent to kill.
Yuujin Jin vs. Joongoo — [ROUND 2] Begins.
