Chapter 357 - LHW Chapter 356: Give Up.

"Calming down, I realized something quite extraordinary seems to have happened."

After school.

Yanami, who followed Asakura out of the classroom, whispered.

It seemed she had sobered up from the initial excitement of encountering a mysterious event.

"Don't worry, your current situation is a small problem compared to what I've encountered before."

Asakura casually comforted her.

"Has Asakura solved other supernatural events? What types were they?"

Yanami asked curiously.

She felt a bit like a psychic on TV. Maybe Asakura had even done things like exorcising vengeful spirits, the girl thought to herself.

"I solved a crisis where humanity almost went extinct, crushed the evil god's ambition to invade Earth, subdued a deity who collected human souls as payment, and opened a dessert shop."

"The last one feels so out of place when listed with the others—" Yanami said cheerfully, "As a joke, it's just ordinarily funny, ordinary~"

Asakura: "…"

"…Please tell me those were really just jokes!"

"Don't worry, I've basically resolved them all."

"Saying that only makes me feel more uneasy, huh—" The girl muttered softly, "Are our worlds really this dangerous…?"

As she spoke, she cautiously peered at Asakura's expression.

Asakura felt a chill from her gaze and couldn't help but stop and look back at the girl: "What's wrong?"

"Nothing—" Yanami pouted, muttering as if unwilling, "It's just that, recalling it now, when I was in the club, I often felt like I was the only one outside of the situation… Damn it, once I realized that…"

"You're invincible?"

Asakura raised an eyebrow.

"It means I'd feel like I'm really dense!"

The girl said indignantly.

Asakura shrugged indifferently and continued walking. Yanami also quickly hurried to catch up.

However, after walking a short distance, she suddenly noticed something amiss.

"Wait a minute, this isn't the way to the clubroom, is it?"

"No, it's not going to the kindergarten either."

"Why did you add that? Even Yuigahama wouldn't think the kindergarten is in the high school building!"

"Did you just naturally use Yuigahama as a synonym for 'idiot'?"

"Is that the point right now?"

Yanami first complained (though she didn't deny treating Yuigahama as an idiot), then asked puzzled, "Do we have to keep going? We're already on the first-year floor, aren't we?"

"We're going to the first-year floor."

Asakura replied, "Perhaps the culprit of this incident is over there."

"Oh, really?!"

Yanami immediately perked up, then she looked at Asakura with anticipation: "Oh, Asakura must be saying these things to me because he thinks I'm the real (emphatic) Yanami, right!"

"Not really—" Asakura was silent for a moment, "It's not something worth keeping secret; it doesn't matter who I tell."

"At a time like this, even if it's just to comfort me, you should say you believe me!"

Yanami Anna sighed, shaking her head with a helpless expression, saying, "That's why Asakura is no good in this regard."

Immediately after, the girl's eyes lit up: "So that means Sousuke and Karen must have gotten together due to supernatural reasons too, right!"

As she spoke, she once again looked at Asakura with an incredibly expectant gaze.

"How rude, they are pure love."

Asakura ruthlessly shattered the girl's fantasy.

"Damn it, can two people who passionately kiss in a KTV while singing be considered pure love? I just went to the bathroom…"

Yanami grumbled, full of resentment.

It felt like if this continued, she would almost become a vengeful spirit needing exorcism.

However, Asakura also noticed that the girl's feelings towards her childhood friend were more like the habitual dissatisfaction of having a beloved toy snatched away, rather than the genuine heartache of being heartbroken she expressed when she first complained to him about becoming a loser.

After all, this person is quite sunny and cheerful; there must be something else that has captured her attention, making her let go of her obsession with that childhood friend.

Like rabbit dango, for example.

When they arrived at their destination, that classroom was also in a state of chaos.

After all, it was just after school, or rather, 'club activity' time, and with the school festival just around the corner, most students, even those without club activities, would stay in the classroom to prepare, either willingly or because they were roped in. So, it looked quite messy.

Asakura stopped a green-haired girl who was walking out of the classroom: "Excuse me, could you please call Chihaya Anon out for me?"

The green-haired girl curiously sized up Asakura and the dejected Yanami following behind him: "Um, I don't know, Senior, what is your relationship with Anon?"

"I'm her club senior."

Asakura replied.

"Oh, okay."

Although the green-haired girl showed a puzzled expression of 'When did Anon-chan join a club?', she obediently returned to the classroom.

After a while, Chihaya Anon hurried out of the classroom.

"What do you need that you have to come to my classroom to find me?"

She asked Asakura.

"Um, it's about…"

Just as Asakura was about to answer, he noticed that several of her classmates behind the girl, while pretending to be engrossed in class work, clearly had their ears perked up, listening curiously.

So Asakura decisively said, "It's too noisy here; let's go to a quieter place to talk."

Chihaya Anon agreed without much thought and followed Asakura to a secluded corner with few people.

Along the way, she curiously glanced at Yanami. Chihaya Anon actually knew Yanami, but the two weren't very close.

"Can you tell me what it is now?"

The pink-haired girl asked Asakura curiously.

"First, put your hand here and make this pose."

Asakura demonstrated.

"Like this?"

Chihaya Anon didn't doubt him.

"Exactly, exactly, then make this pose."

"Like this?"

"Yes, very good."

"Does this action have any meaning?"

The girl asked curiously.

"This makes it easier for me to use joint locks."

Asakura replied, and directly applied a joint lock to her.

"Why?! Ow ow ow ow?! I surrender! I surrender! Give Up!"

"Anon, do you know?"

"What?"

"When you surrender, you have to throw in a white towel."

"Where am I supposed to find something like that now!"

The girl was on the verge of tears.
