Chapter 358 - LHW Chapter 357: Pork Cutlet Rice.

"Too much! Anon, I didn't do anything!"

The pink-haired girl tearfully accused.

"Right! How can you use violence against a girl right away? That's not right, Asakura, meh!"

Yanami also chimed in from the side.

"Did you really do nothing?"

Asakura asked Chihaya Anon again to confirm.

"...No, I didn't."

The pink-haired girl said with a guilty conscience.

Even Yanami could tell that she seemed to be hiding something, and couldn't help but look at her in surprise.

"Anon, as the saying goes, 'confession leads to leniency, resistance to severity'—" Asakura pulled out a bowl of pork cutlet rice (with a pair of disposable chopsticks on top) from who knows where and handed it to a bewildered Chihaya Anon. Then, like a detective from an old police movie, he fiddled with the blinds on the window: "Think about your mother. She would surely be sad if she knew you did something like this..."

"What?"

Chihaya Anon's expression became even more bewildered as she held the pork cutlet rice.

"Are you really this stubborn?"

Seeing this, Asakura sighed: "Then I'll put it another way."

"You don't want your mother to know what you did, do you?"

"It feels like the scene suddenly switched from an administrative drama to some other type that's hard to explicitly mention?!"

Chihaya Anon couldn't help but retort.

Asakura noticed Yanami looking like she wanted to say something. Considering she was the primary victim, he gave her a look that said, 'Go ahead, use your current state to harshly question her conscience!'

Yanami immediately understood Asakura's gaze.

So she said solemnly.

"I want pork cutlet rice too."

"Is this the time to be talking about that?!"

"If you don't mind..."

Chihaya Anon handed the pork cutlet rice in her hand to Yanami.

So, while the blue-haired girl slurped and took the pork cutlet rice, she earnestly said to Asakura, "I think this child is innocent!"

The victim over there, don't be bought off by a bowl of pork cutlet rice!

Asakura sighed, ignoring Yanami who was devouring the pork cutlet rice. He dropped his slightly exaggerated tone and asked Chihaya Anon in a normal voice, "So what exactly did you do?"

"I told you, you can't laugh, okay?"

The girl, who had originally intended to hide it, saw that Asakura seemed unwilling to let the topic go, and finally could only pout and say.

"Don't worry, I've undergone professional training. I won't laugh."

Asakura straightened his face and said seriously.

"Actually, I was just secretly practicing guitar at home..."

The girl said in a small voice.

"What's there to hide about that?"

Asakura couldn't help but scratch his head and ask.

"You see, I originally planned to do something eye-catching—oh, of course, in a positive sense—to become the center of the class, the object of my classmates' adoration..."

Chihaya Anon said as if she had given up something (probably her pride or something similar).

"Speaking of which, when we first met, you did seem quite interested in bands and such..."

Asakura stroked his chin, recalling: "But later you seemed to give up. Why did you pick it up again now?"

"Because at first, I became one of 'them,' and felt very excited and happy to have mastered 'that' power, feeling like my goal had already been achieved—" Chihaya Anon said self-deprecatingly: "But then, upon closer thought, this power cannot be exposed to Muggles. Even if I become a witch, there's no way I can become the object of everyone's adoration. So I picked up the guitar, intending to start over... Ugh, don't look at me with that disgusted expression..."

Asakura sighed again.

He had nothing to criticize about the girl's slightly vain personality, as everyone, more or less, has similar desires. However, this brought the problem back to the very beginning.

"So, you haven't used the Curse [Mirror] recently, right?"

"Didn't you yourself say that Curse is very dangerous and can only be used with your permission?"

Chihaya Anon blinked: "Rather, I haven't used it at all since the Chiba Port Tower incident."

Asakura frowned slightly upon hearing this.

If it wasn't a problem caused by the Curse [Mirror], then what exactly happened to Yanami Anna?

"So what exactly happened? Why would you think I used the Curse [Mirror]?"

Chihaya Anon finally realized that something strange had probably happened, and she was just being implicated.

"Yanami split."

"Huh?"

"Never mind, seeing it with your own eyes will be more intuitive... Yanami, are you done eating?"

Asakura asked Yanami.

"Can I have another serving?"

Yanami asked, clutching the large bowl specifically used for donburi with a hint of reluctance: "This pork cutlet is so much tastier than the set meal at the school cafeteria! Even though it's a normal size, it's crispier than thin pork cutlets, and the meat juice inside is incredibly rich, totally comparable to thick-cut pork cutlets!"

"Shut up, fatty."

"I'm not fat, I'm carefully monitoring my weight, and the daily changes are only within the margin of error!"

"All those errors combined make for a pretty big variable! Both knowledge and fat accumulate over time."

"Gulp..."

Yanami was completely defeated by Asakura.

"Anon, you come with me to the clubroom too."

Asakura said to Chihaya Anon.

"The normal one or the abnormal one?"

The girl asked curiously.

"The normal one."

"What do you mean by the abnormal clubroom?"

The defeated Yanami, powered by the pork cutlet rice, stood up again.

"In short, it's a special room for wizards to rest, deal with various tricky problems, and perform some extraordinary actions. Essentially, it's a combination of the Undetectable Extension Charm and the Muggle-Repelling Charm, and on top of that, it possesses unique mystique. Besides, it can also be used for the restoration and re-development of potions, and research on supernatural items, such as talking posters and so on—"

Before Asakura could finish his lengthy explanation, Yanami had already written 'abandoned understanding' all over her face.

Asakura rolled his eyes, took the empty bowl from the girl's hand, and with a nimble flick of his wrist, the bowl vanished.

"Oh~"

Yanami clapped her hands like she was watching a Curse show.

"Then I'll go back and tell my friends, and grab my school bag."

Chihaya Anon quickly ran back to the classroom.

Asakura, following her, noticed that in Chihaya Anon's classroom, the green-haired girl from before subtly glanced at him twice, but showed no intention of coming over to talk.

A moment later, Chihaya Anon excitedly ran out of the classroom again, her appearance reminding Asakura of a golden retriever bringing back a frisbee.
