Chapter 261: Jack and Giovanni Silver
Three minutes later, a file appeared in Matori's hands.
Don't be fooled by the mere three minutes—this was the culmination of Team Rocket's intelligence network. She wasn't the only one working; dozens of people were operating behind the scenes at high frequency to support this outcome.
"Giovanni, you were right. There are no similar individuals in the Kanto Region, but we have a new discovery in the Johto Region!"
Although Matori didn't understand the significance of this matter, with Giovanni's wisdom, he certainly wouldn't be doing something pointless. Her task wasn't to think, but to strictly execute her superior's orders.
"In the Johto Region, there is a Town very similar to Pallet Town. Many elements are an extremely close match. It's called New Bark Town."
Giovanni nodded, thinking to himself that it was just as he had expected.
"One more thing is worth noting. Basically, every major Region has a Town with these very similar elements."
Although Team Rocket's intelligence on individuals in other regions was still difficult to control, gathering information on a mere town was quite easy to manage.
Giovanni nodded, gesturing for Matori to continue her report.
"This New Bark Town is located in the southeastern corner of the Johto Region, adjacent to our Kanto Region. Between them lie the Indigo Plateau and Mt. Silver. The town's population is small, and it also has a Pokémon Research Institute. The owner is Professor Elm, who was once a student of Professor Oak's and is qualified to distribute Starter Pokémon to Rookie Trainers."
Matori turned a page in the file she was holding. Giovanni also focused his attention slightly. After discussing the town, the people were now the key.
"This time, Team Rocket's intelligence has analyzed a total of three Rookie Trainers who meet the requirements. Two boys and one girl, all around ten years old, are connected to New Bark Town. They will officially set out on their journey in about three months. The elements surrounding them are very consistent with the information you provided on the three from Pallet Town."
"The first youth's real name is Jack, but the people in the town mostly call him Gold. He likes to stir up trouble but has a good relationship with his neighbors. He is currently staying in New Bark Town."
"The second youth is a girl named Kris. She is the childhood friend of the boy named Gold. She's Unremarkable, but according to our information, she doesn't seem to be in New Bark Town at the moment."
"The third youth is not a local resident of New Bark Town. He seems to be an orphan, but he's currently lurking suspiciously around New Bark Town and was captured by our Team Rocket's intelligence network. His name is..."
Matori was still efficiently reporting the file's contents when her words suddenly caught in her throat. Her eyes widened as if she had seen something incredible.
"Hmph!"
Giovanni's eyebrow twitched as he let out a cold snort. He hated it when people stopped talking halfway through a sentence.
Matori didn't dare hesitate and could only force herself to continue reporting the information.
"The third youth's name is Gio... Giovanni Silver!"
"What did you say!?"
Upon hearing this, Giovanni shot to his feet with a *swoosh*, his expression changing dramatically. In his agitation, he blurted out the words.
"Giovanni... this youth's surname... it seems to be the same as yours..."
Matori dared not say any more. Although she was one of Giovanni's confidants, she had never heard that Giovanni had any children.
That made sense. For the leader of a large organization like Team Rocket, if he had an heir, it would be absolutely impossible to expose them casually. The threat would be too great. It would be a devastating blow not only to the leader but also to the child.
Giovanni's brows were deeply furrowed. He asked again:
"Have you confirmed it? Giovanni Silver... is he really connected to this matter?"
"Yes, Giovanni! He fits the elements of the three Rookie Trainers from Pallet Town perfectly!"
Giovanni sat back down on the office sofa, his face now filled with contemplation and conflict. Matori didn't dare to make a move, just waiting by his side as if facing a great enemy.
"Just who is it...?!"
The rage in Giovanni's heart was about to burst through the top of his skull. He had clearly arranged for the prefix of this youth's surname to be hidden and removed, leaving only the single character "Silver" as his name. But now, someone had re-added the surname "Giovanni."
Dammit, who was it!?
Although the surname Giovanni wasn't rare, it certainly wasn't common either. Once exposed and linked to him, it would be an immense threat to both Giovanni Silver and himself.
Also, getting involved with these 'schizophrenic' individuals is a hassle...
"Silver, has he reached this age already..."
Having not seen him for many years, Giovanni had almost forgotten about his own son, not even knowing that he had grown up to the age where he was about to set off on a journey.
Immediately, Giovanni's brow smoothed over. He suddenly stood up, his expression showing that he had made a decision, no longer hesitating.
"Matori, arrange an airplane ticket to the Johto Region for me immediately."
In the end, this was still just his speculation and required an on-site investigation. As for the three in the Kanto Region, Giovanni felt it was best not to make contact with them for the time being.
They had already established themselves; it was not advisable to make an enemy of them.
But these three in the Johto Region had not yet officially set out on their journey. He would be taking the initiative to attack, giving him a huge advantage.
Besides, he wanted to see his son too.
"Yes, I'll arrange it at once!"
Matori nodded quickly and was about to go prepare a private airplane for Giovanni.
"Also, erase all information about Giovanni Silver. Oh, no need to be so thorough. Just erase the word 'Giovanni' from it."
"Yes, I will arrange it shortly!"
"By the way, you won't go around saying anything you shouldn't, will you?"
"Yes, I will arrange it shortly!"
Only then did Giovanni nod with satisfaction. He still trusted Matori.
Just what is the origin of this group of 'schizophrenic' Rookie Trainers? I'll probably have some clues soon.
"Set today's file and information as Team Rocket's highest secret. As for the plan's name, let's call it Rainbow Rocket!"
This was his, Giovanni's, World, and he wouldn't tolerate these messy Old Man interfering. Rainbow Rocket signified that no matter how flashy and gaudy a rainbow was, it was still merely in the palm of Team Rocket's hand!
Although it was unclear whether they were friend or foe, and it was also unclear how many more Old Man existed in other Regions, one thing was certain.
Kill them all, and then it will be clear.
He, Giovanni, had never been inferior to anyone in his entire life!
Giovanni's eyes flickered, and a powerful killing intent surged in his heart. But this matter couldn't be taken lightly; it still required long-term planning.
One Green was already giving him a headache. If the others were also this powerful...
But it didn't matter. The enemy was in the light, and he was in the shadows. He was starting from an invincible position.
Giovanni couldn't help but lick his lips. His body trembled as his eyes burned with fervor, and a sinister expression appeared on his face.
"This world... has finally become interesting.!"
"I might have to stay in the Johto Region for the next few months. Tell those people to keep quiet. Leak a little bit about the Silph Co. Building matter into our Company Group Chat. Hmph, that bunch of people, do they really think I don't know what happened?"
This group of Core Executives needed to be taught a stern lesson. They had actually caused him to nearly go to war with the Pokémon League.
A few days ago, he had already e-mailed a challenge to Champion Lance, showing him no courtesy whatsoever, bluntly stating he was just a Flying Type Champion who was merely chasing fame.
"Also, Mewtwo. Have him lay low for the next few months. He is not to go out."
After Green shattered his obsession, Giovanni no longer held the foolish idea that possessing Mewtwo made him invincible. It was like the Greninja in the well—laughably shortsighted.
"Yes, Giovanni. We have already injected Mewtwo with a sufficient dose of a Sleeping Agent. Nothing unusual will happen."
Seeing that everything was arranged, Giovanni sat back down in his office sofa chair. Leaning back, a Secret Door mechanism actually appeared in the wall behind him, teleporting him, chair and all, away.
A moment later, he had arrived on an airport lawn. The wind gusted, and a private airplane was already prepared and waiting.
"Old Man? Bullshit old man! Hmph, if you don't submit to me, then there's only one fate for you!"
He revealed a sinister smile and formally boarded the airplane headed for the Johto Region.
An even bolder plan formed in Giovanni's heart.
Hunt down all the Old Man!
