Chapter 3 - Chapter three:Dark rose

Natalia and her friends approached Dirok, eyeing the product suspiciously. "Oh my God, is that a fake?" Natalia sneered, her voice dripping with disdain.

Zoe stepped forward, a hint of defensiveness in her tone. "How can you tell it's a fake from a distance?"

Natalia smirked. "I've been born rich, I know a fake when I see one." Her friends nodded in agreement, their eyes gleaming with superiority.

Before Dirok could react, Natalia's friends snatched the product from her hands. "Let's take a closer look," one of them said, ripping open the packaging.

As they examined the product, their smirks began to falter. "Wait, this might not be a fake after all..."

When they finally opened the product, their faces fell. "Oh my God, it's not a fake!" one of them exclaimed along side with Zoe who cursed her luck.

Natalia's expression turned ugly. "Zoe, what are you saying? Do you mean you actually tried to give Dirok a fake?"

Zoe's nervous energy spiked, and she stumbled over her words. "I-I didn't mean to... I didn't know it was a fake..."

Zoe's eyes darted around, her voice trembling. "I didn't know it was a fake. It must have been the attendant's mistake." She turned to the attendant, her gaze cold and accusatory. "What did you do? You were supposed to get me the real product!"

The attendant, unfazed by Zoe's tone, replied calmly, "You personally asked me to arrange it, knowing Dirok would be here. I'm just following your instructions."

Dirok's suspicion grew, her eyes narrowing as she gave Zoe a very cold look. "How did you know I'd be here?" she asked, her voice laced with distrust .

Natalia raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with amusement. "Isn't that your best friend? Look at what she's doing right behind your back, Mozart."

Mozart stepped forward, his expression defensive. "What do you mean by that? Zoe isn't like that." He positioned himself between Zoe and Dirok, trying to shield her from the accusations.

Dirok's eyes flashed with skepticism. "So, you're saying I planned it all by myself? Even when the store attendant confirms Zoe's involvement?"

Natalia's gaze darted between Mozart and Zoe, her voice dripping with malice. "Look at your friends – even your fiancé is defending her."

Zoe's voice rose, her words tumbling out in a frantic denial. "It's a lie! It's a lie if that's even what happened!" She turned on the attendant, her anger sudden and fierce. "You're the one who's at fault here!"

The attendant's expression darkened, her voice firm. "I'm going to sue you for defamation. I have proof – this entire conversation has been recorded." She pulled out her phone and showed them the evidence.

The group fell silent, their faces shocked and horrified. "Oh my God," someone whispered. "How can you do this, Zoe? You really are a Black Rose."

Zoe soon realized she couldn't get out of this one so she did what an sensible person could think of-she fainted .

Zoe's eyes fluttered closed, and she dramatically collapsed to the ground, playing the part of a fainting victim. "Oh no, Zoe!" someone exclaimed, rushing to her side.

But Dirok didn't bat an eyelid. She stood frozen, her expression unreadable, as if she didn't care about the commotion unfolding around her.

Natalia's voice dripped with sarcasm as she whispered to Dirok's "Isn't that your best friend? Don't you care what's happening to her?"

Dirok's gaze never wavered, her voice calm and detached. She turned and walked away, leaving Zoe's crumpled form behind.
