Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

Lee Hyungjin slammed the apartment door behind him.

His chest still heaved from the confrontation. His fists were red from clenching too tightly. "Jenny… that b*tch," he muttered under his breath, yanking off his t-shirt. The fabric clung to him, soaked in sweat and fury. He stormed to the bathroom, twisted the shower knob, and stepped under the water before it even warmed.

The icy spray hit his skin like needles, but he took it. Maybe it would numb the sting of everything. The stolen job. The kiss. The betrayal. The way Felix had pinned him like he meant to crush him only to then let that witch Jenny stroll in and kiss him like he was her reward.

His mouth tasted of regret.

His phone vibrated on the sink. He stepped out dripping, grabbing the phone and wiping the screen.

Manager: "You're fired. You let the goods get tampered with. This was your first job and you screwed it. You can't even handle a simple job."

He stared at the message. The water kept dripping from his hair down his jaw, mixing with the silent fury rising like steam in his chest.

Felix Park had done it again. Another job, ruined. Another day, humiliated. Another chance at redemption gone.

He slammed the phone onto the counter.

Minutes later, he stepped into the hallway of Taeyang's clinic, still drying his hair with a towel, wearing nothing but a pair of drawstring shorts and damp skin. His abs glistened under the clinic lights, and the waistband of his shorts rode low on his hips.

"Doctor?" he called, peeking into the backroom.

Seo Taeyang looked up from his medical notes, froze mid-sentence, and stared.

Hyungjin blinked innocently. "Oh… I forgot. You're gay."

He tossed the towel over his shoulder and strutted in like nothing was wrong. He noticed Taeyang staring and reached out to grab the doctor's white coat hanging from the chair. He threw it on and let it slide halfway down his shoulders in a teasing motion.

"Better?" he smirked.

Taeyang exhaled slowly, turning away. "You… shouldn't play with that."

"I'm not playing."

He dropped into the seat across the doctor and slouched, still simmering with anger.

"I just saw Felix again," he said. "That bastard… he had me pinned to the damn van like I was some petty thief. Then Jenny showed up. She kissed him. She f*cking kissed him. Right in front of me like it was nothing."

Taeyang's expression softened. "Hyungjin…"

"He ruined my job. Again. I got fired."

Taeyang remained quiet, waiting for him to calm down.

Hyungjin leaned forward, voice sharp with determination. "I want revenge."

There was silence between them. And then slowly, Taeyang closed his notebook.

"I've heard of Felix Park," he said carefully. "Rumor has it… he might be interested in men."

Hyungjin's eyebrows shot up. "Wait… wait, wait, wait. You're saying… there's a chance?"

"Don't jump," Taeyang warned. "It's speculation."

"But enough to make him bite, right?" Hyungjin's eyes lit up, that cunning glint returning. "So if I want revenge… this is my chance to make him lose control."

Taeyang studied him. "That kind of man… he won't beat around the bush. He won't play coy. If you bait him, be ready for what comes."

"I am."

The doctor raised a brow. "Are you really?"

"Come on, you're gay. Can I… test something?"

Taeyang's eyes narrowed. "Test?"

"If I'm going to seduce a man, I need to know if I'm believable," Hyungjin said, standing. "So I'm asking… Can I kiss you?"

The doctor went still. His eyes searched Hyungjin's face, lips parted like he might protest but then, he didn't.

"I won't do this again," Taeyang said. "And you better not joke about it."

"I'm not joking."

Hyungjin stepped closer. He reached out, brushed the doctor's cheek with uncertain fingers, and leaned in. Their lips touched warm at first. Then Hyungjin's fingers curled into Taeyang's coat as his chest pressed softly against the other's. Hyungjin slipped his tongue into the Doctor's mouth but slightly pulled it back.

When they pulled apart, he didn't speak. His heart was thundering. But his mind clear.

"I don't know if I like it," he whispered, "but I'm sure I can go on with it."

Taeyang looked at him for a long time, then nodded once. "Alright. Let's go get your revenge."

"I've figured out where he might be tonight." Let's have the first try.

"Okay mentor." Hyunjin smiled

The club they entered pulsed with lights and beats that rattled the chest. Men danced shirtless under violet strobes. Bodies pressed. Eyes lingered. Desire saturated the air like perfume.

Taeyang led Hyungjin down the steps. Hyungjin's hair was slicked back, lips glossed, and his body wrapped in a tight black mesh top and leather pants. He wore silver chains, low eyeliner, and his chest was partially exposed just enough to flirt with the boundary between sensuality and danger.

He looked like temptation dressed as a boy.

He leaned against the velvet wall, crossing one leg, letting his hips tilt. From a distance, it was hard to tell if he was a gigolo or just a fantasy.

"You look… unbelievable," Taeyang murmured. "Just don't let anyone touch you."

"Except him," Hyungjin whispered.

Suddenly, the crowd parted.

Felix Park walked in.

He was dressed in all black silk shirt unbuttoned to his sternum, silver jewelry glinting under the club lights, hair tousled like he'd just stepped out of a lover's bed. He moved like he owned the room. And when he spotted Hyungjin, his eyes swept him slowly top to bottom but without stopping. He gave a slight, amused smirk.

Then he passed him.

Didn't say a word.

Didn't even slow down.

Hyungjin's face burned. "That smug bastard," he hissed.

Before he could storm after him, two other men approached.

"Hey pretty," said one, leaning close. "You here for company?"

"Back off," Hyungjin said, annoyed.

The second guy chuckled, reaching out. "You don't look like you mind "

Hyungjin shoved him. The man stumbled into the sidewalk outside the club.

The first tried to touch his arm. Hyungjin raised a fist.

Taeyang stepped in between. "Enough."

Hyungjin, still panting, looked over the street.

Felix was standing there across the road.

He was watching.

The smirk was gone.

Replaced with sharp eyes and then he got into his car and rode away.

They went home disappointed but Seo spoke up. "This is just the

start, at least he looked at you. Let's find out more about his interests then we can go ahead." Hyungjin smiled faintly "Yes!"
