Lee Hyungjin had just fled through the crowded alleys, his apron stained and his heart pounding. The faint clang of Felix's patrol faded behind him as he burst into the sanctuary of Taeyang's clinic, his best friend's modest practice where he'd found brief refuge before.
Felix Park lost his trail at the clinic's entrance. Desperation turned to relief as Hyung collapsed into a chair, trembling and breathless.
Taeyang, the soft-spoken doctor with a fierce loyalty to Hyungjin , immediately ushered him inside, closing the door to lock the world outside. Jin's eyes darted across the room, medical charts, herbal jars, a faint antiseptic smell, the calm before a storm.
Taeyang wasted no time. With firm but gentle hands, he cleansed a bleeding wound on Jin's arm and stitched it carefully. Jin sucked in a painful breath when the needle pierced his skin, and Seo offered a tight-lipped apology.
"Sorry," he muttered, meeting his gaze for a moment before turning away. That shared flicker of care was enough to steady Wu's flailing nerves.
Moments later, Guo Cheng, Felix's childhood friend and current enemy, staggered into the same clinic.
"Where is he at?" He uttered but as he turned and locked eyes with the doctor he felt his heart skip a beat.
"Who do you mean?" Taeyang replied.
"Well I'm not very interested in him anymore. You look so… well.."
"Only come here if you need treatment." Taeyang replied with a straight face and Guo smirked and left.
Hyungjin stopped selling sugar balls. Felix's interference had shut him down. Instead, he turned himself into a YouTube influencer. Showcasing street view and doing lives on the street.
It wasn't long before Felix Park crossed paths with him again. This time, he bumped into Felix unintentionally and as he was about to walk back. Felix pulled him back and as he took off his cap gently he recognized him.
"Oh! You! The thief oh no I mean.. whatever! You ruined my clothes worth hundreds of dollars. Now come over here ." Felix said pulling Hyungjin by the collar
"No it's not me!." He cried out. "Okay okay I'm sorry." He continued.
Felix seized his phone and threatened to throw it out the bridge
Hyungjin went on his knees and begged for his life. "I'm so sorry I need to earn meet with that." he cried out.
Felix slightly showed out his hand as if to give the phone back and when Hyungjin stood up for it he grabbed him by his waist and pulled him closer to him. Felix stared down at his lips and when Hyungjin noticed he was distracted he took the phone and ran as fast as he could. But Felix knew they were going to meet again.
"This is going to be fun." He smirked.
Meanwhile, Guo Cheng, despite his earlier bravado, began feigning minor ailments just to revisit Tae's clinic. Each consultation became intentionally drawn-out touches to help cleanse wounds, advice on care all carefully engineered to get glimpses of the doctor.
In turn, Seo treated him more carefully with each visit. He needle‑pricked Guo's arm with practiced precision, took the time to explain aftercare, and occasionally lingered just a heartbeat too long when wrapping a bandage.
Lee Hyungjin watched this dynamic with sharp interest. He recognized in Guo a pattern: clever pursuit, subtle seduction. But more importantly, he saw that Guo had already fallen in love with Tae at first sight and made himself vulnerable to that love.
The next day when Seo was treating a female patient she looked up and asked "You're so handsome Doc. Seo. Do you have a girlfriend or can I make a move." She smiled with her upper teeth
"I don't have a girlfriend." He replied and she raised a brow.
"But I've had boyfriends before."
"Have a nice day Doctor." She said as she stood up and left.
Hyungjin was listening from behind.
"Wait! You're gay" Hyungjin cutely blinked twice and looked at him.
"Yes, do you have a problem with it?" The Doctor leaned forward. " Not at all." He replied squinting his left eye.
"Anyway, finally I've got a new job." Jin said. "Really?" the Doctor asked "what is it ?". "We'll be transporting products and allat. But it seems cool"
Later that night, Felix was on his way home when a car overtook him and slightly hit him causing him to spin. He hit his gears and went faster, he hit the car multiple times from behind until it stumbled. Jenny and her new boyfriend Song Jay were in the car. Jay was severely injured and rushed to the hospital but Jenny survived and she saw the hot and stunning Felix come to make sure he did a job well done and she fell in love with how expensive his car looked and how fast his car was.
She ran out gently and held his hand
"Hi, I need help." she said in a low charming voice.
It was a new day and Hyungjin went to work. He was to be a transportation driver. He and other workers fully filled the van with all the sealed boxes. And was given clear instructions on not to let anyone touch the box.
He went into the van and drove along. He successfully passed a check point but then a gang of men showed up and stopped him. They said they needed to check the van and it's contents.
Some weeks ago Felix's snakes were stolen from his home by his father. And he was only supposed to bring back a girlfriend and wife home in exchange for them. This caused Felix to be on the look out for the transportation of these goods.
"Stop and get out of the van." Man 1 shouted.
"Is there any problem?" He asked as he got out of the van.
"We need to check the Van."
"No! No! You can't do that." As he was about to stop the men someone came out of nowhere and pinned him to the van.
"Ah, ah, hurt," he screamed. But the man didn't let go and when they were done searching, they didn't find snakes but had ruined most of the goods.
"Why are you doing this?" Hyungjin turned after being released by this man. And his mouth went wide open in shock.
"You…" he said
"Yes me" before Hyungjin could continue speaking,
"Babe. I've been looking all over for you." A lady walked towards Felix and kissed him.
"Jenny. Jenny!!" He screamed
"No way." He said as his fists clenched.
