Favour sat on the edge of their bed as Daniel replayed the video.
She didn't flinch. She didn't cry.
"I knew she hated me," she whispered. "But this…"
Daniel's eyes were hollow. "She's gone mad."
"No. She's hurt," Favour said, voice low. "And we ignored the damage we left behind."
Daniel turned to her. "You're not defending her? Are you?
"I'm just saying we underestimated how far someone will go when they believe no one is listening."
Daniel stared at his wife for a long moment.
"Do you regret marrying me?" he asked.
Favour met his gaze.
"No," she said. "But I regret lying to you. About the food. About the NYSC file. I regret not believing I was enough."
Silence.
Then Daniel said, "We either end this now… or we fight for it."
Favour nodded. "We fight."
