Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Secret of ShadowRix

Chapter 5: The Secret of ShadowRix

(Draxon and Kevin go with the mysterious boy to his grandfather's house, where they hope to find some answers from an elderly man.)

The Mystery of the House

Draxon and Kevin, along with the boy, made their way through the narrow lanes of the old neighborhood of Azamgarh.

All around them were randomly built ancient mansions, crumbling bricks, and a silence spread through the deserted alleys that seemed to whisper tales of forgotten secrets. At every turn, shadowy figures appeared to be peeking from the darkness.

When they reached the house, the boy knocked on the door.

With a creaking sound, an old man opened the door. The lines of time were etched on his face, and his eyes held the pain that lingers in stories from ages past.

He looked at Draxon, as if he had been waiting for him for years. His voice was low but echoed with weight—

"So... the day has finally come when the true heir of 'ShadowRix' stands at my doorstep. Come in, Draxon... heir to the lost past of the Azamgarh Sultanate... there are some stories still unfinished with you."

Hearing the old man's mysterious words, the color drained from Draxon and Kevin's faces. Draxon's heart began to pound, as if some ancient fear had started racing through his veins.

Draxon (voice trembling, forehead furrowed) — "You... what are you saying? Me... the last heir...? And this sword... 'ShadowRix'? What is in it that... that I must claim it?"

Kevin (softly, nervously) — "Are we in some kind of trouble, Draxon?"

The old man smiled mysteriously and said—

"Still in such a hurry, are you? Draxon... some things are not spoken in the wind, but within four walls.

Come in... the time has come to learn the truth that changed the course of your destiny."

They all stepped inside the house.

The Old Man (smiling gently, placing a hand on his grandson's head) —

"Son, our guests are no ordinary people. Leave no stone unturned in serving them well. Go, bring some water and something to eat. Today, the destiny of our house sits with them."

The boy ran off and returned with water in a brass glass. The room carried the scent of old wood, and the dust-laden air spread a strange odor. Draxon and Kevin quenched their thirst, but the thirst in their hearts only grew stronger.

After drinking the water, Draxon (with anxiety and impatience in his voice) —

"Now please tell me... how do you know so much about me? This 'last heir', ShadowRix… what does all this mean?

And… and who is this DarkZael who wants to rule the entire world?"

The old man slowly raised his hand and pointed to a dusty wall in the corner of the room.

"Look at that wall… the secret lies hidden in that picture, which was kept concealed for centuries."

Draxon and Kevin looked closely at the picture hanging on the wall. Time had left its dust all around it, but at the center gleamed the image of a sword—like a ray of light piercing the darkness. The edge of the sword seemed to extend beyond the picture, cutting through their very souls.

Kevin (softly, in awe) — "This… this looks like a royal sword."

Draxon (with a strange glow in his eyes) — "Is this the same special sword… ShadowRix?"

Old Man (nodding, in a serious tone) —

"Absolutely right! This is ShadowRix. Time may have faded its image, but in truth, this sword is the light that can even burn through darkness.

Its power is such that it can shake the thrones of kings… and sultans across the world dance before it."

Draxon's curiosity deepened. Draxon (frowning, restlessness in his eyes) —

"You say this sword is special… but why? What is it that makes it different from any ordinary sword? And… how do you know all this? Who are you?"

Old Man (in a soft, tired voice, as if carrying a very old burden) —

"I… don't know much, son. All I know is that the sword is connected to your ancestors… it belonged to them… and now, you are the true heir to its legacy."

Old Man (lowering his eyes) —

"The day will come… when that sword will be in your hands. Only then will the rule of DarkZael begin to tremble… and Azamgarh will once again be called the sultanate of your forefathers."

Old Man (taking a deep breath) — "For now, the reins of the kingdom lie in the hands of a vizier… but he is not truly holding it together!"

Draxon (restlessly, clenching his fists) — "Who told you all this? And where… where will I find the complete truth of this mystery? When will I learn… who I truly am?"

Old Man (smiling, placing a hand on Draxon's shoulder) —

"There is an elder… who told me all this. He knows you very well… perhaps even better than you know yourself. He has the answers to all your questions… all your confusions."

The old man paused for a moment, then said —

"Tomorrow we will go to the city of Junagarh. That's where he lives… in an old house."

DarkZael's Wrath

Meanwhile, DarkZael had no idea that Draxon and Kevin had escaped from Old Kaifon's house.

DarkZael (eyes burning with arrogance, fists clenched) —

"Let's go… to Old Kaifon's house. I want to see for myself what this last heir looks like—the one who dared to challenge me in my own game."

But when he arrived at Old Kaifon's house with his men, Draxon and Kevin were nowhere to be found.

DarkZael's face turned red like burning coal. His eyes were filled with bloodlust.

He stormed toward his soldiers, his voice echoing off the walls of the room —

"Where have you hidden the last heir, Draxon… and his friend Kevin?!"

A Soldier (trembling, eyes lowered) —

"Sir… we had captured them here… but it seems… they… they've escaped…"

Hearing this, DarkZael's fury erupted like a volcano. Flames of rage flared in his eyes.

"What did you just say… they escaped?"

His thunderous voice slammed into the stone walls, resonating throughout the room.

"You have no idea who Draxon is!"

DarkZael's voice blazed like oil thrown on burning embers.

"If we don't stop him now, the very foundation of our empire will collapse.

Find him… even if you have to turn every wall in the city upside down, search every dark alley!"

The soldiers, drenched in sweat and trembling, stammered —

"Commander… we made a mistake… but we swear… it won't happen again."

DarkZael's eyes blazed like fire.

The veins on his face bulged as he roared like a lion —

"Mistake…? This will be your last mistake if Draxon slips through my hands!"

He raised his sword into the air, and his roaring voice thundered all the way to the ceiling —

"Search every street, every hiding place for Draxon and Kevin…

Look behind every shadow… tear down every wall if you must.

I want them both… at any cost!"

With this order, DarkZael's spies and soldiers sprang into action like hungry wolves on a hunt.

The entire city trembled under his rage.

Every road, every crossroad, every rooftop was covered by his shadow.

Draxon and Kevin were no longer just two names—In DarkZael's eyes, they had become two burning sparks…

…sparks he was now obsessed with extinguishing.

The Danger Grows

A heavy silence filled the room. Draxon and Kevin's eyes were weighed down by sleep.

Suddenly, there was a sharp, frantic knock at the door.

Both Draxon and Kevin woke up instantly.

When Draxon opened the door, the boy's grandfather stood there—his face pale with fear and exhaustion.

His breathing was heavy, sweat dripped from his forehead.

It was as if he had just returned from witnessing something terrifying.

Draxon (startled, voice laced with concern) —

"Uncle… what happened? Why do you look so pale?"

"Draxon!"

The old man's voice carried a strange urgency.

"Just moments ago, DarkZael's men were here. They were asking questions about you. I told them clearly that I knew nothing.

But now we must leave this place at once and head toward Junagarh.

We can't wait until morning!"

Draxon and Kevin immediately agreed, expressing their deep gratitude to the old man.

And yet, Draxon's heart was still heavy with unease.

"If we leave now… won't DarkZael's men recognize us and capture us?"

he asked anxiously.

The Elder smiled faintly, a mysterious glint in his eyes —

"No. I know a secret route to Junagarh…one that only a handful of people are aware of.

DarkZael's men won't even suspect it exists."

There was confidence in his voice, and his smile gave Draxon some relief,

but the lines of doubt still lingered on Draxon's face.

Hearing the old man's words, Kevin steadied his nerves and asked,

"So… what do we do now?"

The old man nodded:-

"Don't worry. We must not delay any longer."

Then, Draxon, Kevin, the boy, and the old man began their journey toward Junagarh.

A chilly wind whispered through the air, and the sound of their footsteps echoed in the stillness of the night.

The four of them walked into the darkness and silence of the night.

There was no sound for miles—only the rustle of the forest and shadows that seemed to whisper fears into their ears.

By dawn, they finally reached Junagarh.

As they approached an old, mysterious house, Draxon suddenly stopped.

His eyes widened…

The house before him was no ordinary dwelling. It felt like a secret long buried in time was now standing right in front of him.

Strange markings covered the walls, and from every corner, it seemed as if a hidden truth was watching them.
