Chapter 4: The Lost Half Map and the Mysterious Elder's Sign

Amidst the dark clouds, Draxon and Kevin were trapped in a web from which escape seemed impossible. DarkZael's men had surrounded them from all sides.

Now the story continues...

Old Kaifon's once peaceful room now felt like a dungeon of a fortress — dim light filtering through the latticed windows, flickering lanterns in the corners, and the echo of armed soldiers' footsteps outside.

Draxon and Kevin sat tied with ropes in a corner, and every breath felt like a new challenge for them.

DarkZael's man (in a serious tone) –

"You've escaped our master's eyes for too long, Draxon! But now, no one can save you..."

(Draxon raises his brows, a sharp challenge in his eyes) –

"I was never hiding... I was following the truth you people are trying to bury. Speak, who is your master? Why are you afraid to say his name?"

(Draxon looks at two of the men and points towards them, anger in his eyes) –

"You two...! Yes, I recognize you – you were the ones who attacked me in the marketplace. Now tell me, who are you? What do you want from me?"

First attacker (laughing with contempt) –

"That day, luck saved you... Otherwise, today you would be on your knees before our master."

Second attacker (gritting his teeth) –

"This is no marketplace now, Draxon... Now it's just us, and the answers you'll never receive!"

(Draxon, angrily, struggling) –

"Why? What does your master want from me? Who is he... what's his name?"

There was no trace of fear in Draxon's eyes now — only a burning curiosity, ready to snatch every answer.

(The first spy leans in the shadows, his eyes searching Draxon's for some unspoken truth. Voice low, but certain): –

"You are... the final link to 'ShadowRix'. That legacy which until now was thought to be just a legend."

(The second spy steps forward slowly. His voice carries no threat, but every word echoes like a warning): –

"The sooner you distance yourself from this sword, Draxon, the better.

It is not just a weapon — it is a burden, which will either break you... or make you do something you'll regret for a lifetime."

(Draxon's breathing becomes heavy, his eyes widen, and he tries to free himself from the ropes tied around his hands) –

"What heir... and me? What is this secret? And what's so special about this sword 'ShadowRix' that no other sword has?"

(The spy laughs and says) –

"Thought you were clever… but looks like that old man only told you a story, not the truth."

(The second spy, in a cold tone, eyes gleaming with bitterness) –

"'ShadowRix' is right in front of him… and now no power can keep it away from him. Understand this — whoever stands in its path... will be erased."

(Draxon asks angrily) –

"Who is the master? First, tell me his name!"

(Both spies look at each other, then one spy leans forward, hiding a smirk) –

"You want to know… then listen... his name is DarkZael – a name enough to spread fear."

(The second spy leans toward Draxon, voice firm but restrained) –

"Too much time has been wasted, Draxon... now be ready to help us."

(Draxon, eyes filled with hatred and voice firm) –

"My hands were not made to complete your conspiracies!"

(The spy steps forward, his eyes burning like embers) –

"Stop the drama now... give us the map and the letter... or the consequences will be beyond your imagination!"

(Draxon's eyelids twitch, his face starts to pale, yet he forces himself to stay calm) –

"M-map? What map? We only found dust and spider webs here!"

(The spy bursts into laughter, then leans toward Draxon like a hunter approaching his prey) –

"You think we're fools? Hah! Draxon, we know the cunning behind your innocent face...

We've had eyes on your every move!

When you were brushing your hands across this room, you didn't know — even the walls have eyes.

Our man had become your shadow… he was watching your every move."

(Draxon and Kevin's eyes meet, sweat beads glisten on their foreheads, their lips begin to dry)

(Kevin whispers softly) –

"What do we do now, Draxon...? Everything will be over!"

(The spy signals. From the shadows, a face emerges — covered face, burning eyes) –

"Now tell us, what did you see?"

(The man steps forward and says) –

"I saw it with my own eyes — Draxon hid the map and the letter inside his pocket."

(The spy lunges forward, Draxon tries to pull back but the ropes have bound him.

The spy snatches the papers from his pocket.)

(The spy unfolds the papers, separates the letter) –

"Here is the map... and here is the letter, the one that came to save you!"

(The spy reads the letter and pauses, his eyes narrowing): –

"Interesting... this letter is meant only for you. Perhaps it contains something that weakens you."

(He throws the letter toward Draxon with disgust, as if it were a useless thing) –

"This is your weakness... cling to it.

We care nothing for your memories or emotions — what we want is that power,

that can bring everything under our control!"

(The spy looks closely at the map, greed gleaming in his eyes.

With a smile full of mystery, he looks at Draxon) –

"Do you know, Draxon… what this is?

This is what wars have been fought over for centuries.

This map leads to 'ShadowRix' — but look… it's only half!"

(Draxon's eyes widen, his breathing becomes rapid.

He stares at the map, as if searching for an answer hidden inside it. He murmurs…) –

"Half a map...? Then where did the other half go...?"

(His heart was pounding like a raging ocean. Could it be that DarkZael already knew everything…?)

(The spies burst into laughter, as if they had won a war): –

"The other half... is with our master.

Now the world is ready to lay its kingdom at his feet —

and you, Draxon... you were just an obstacle!"

(After this, DarkZael's men begin preparing to leave. Suddenly, Kevin shouts loudly) –

"Are you just going to leave us like this?"

(One man bows his head and walks up to Draxon, whispering softly in his ear): –

"Two days... just two days remain. Then the door will open for you —

either to slavery, or to the empire of our master!"

(One of the men pulls a sharp needle from his pocket.

Draxon and Kevin try to back away, but the ropes tighten further.)

"Time to sleep..."

(The needle pricks — darkness falls over Draxon and Kevin's eyes… and then – silence.)

Old Kaifon's House – The Next Morning

(In the corner of the room, Draxon's eyelids twitch. His head feels heavy, as if some weight is pulling him down. Suddenly, he opens his eyes and looks around in panic. Then he spots Kevin lying next to him.)

Draxon (shaking him gently, anxiously):

"Kevin! Wake up… are you okay?"

(Kevin squints his eyes open. He turns his head to look at Draxon.)

Kevin (groaning):

"Yeah… seems like we're still alive. And you?"

Draxon (in a sharp tone):

"I'm fine, but we need to get out of here quickly. Something's wrong!"

(Suddenly, Draxon's ears perk up. He hears faint footsteps outside. He becomes alert.)

(Draxon jerks his hands tied with ropes, but the thick knots don't budge even an inch. His breathing grows faster, as if time is slipping from his grip.)

(He suddenly shouts):

"Is anyone out there? Help us! We're imprisoned!"

(For a moment, silence prevails. Then… the wooden door creaks.

Draxon and Kevin's eyes fix on the door. It slowly opens.)

(A slim shadow emerges in the darkness. A 15-year-old boy enters — sharp eyes, quiet steps.)

(The boy, in a soft voice):

"You shouldn't stay here much longer."

(Without asking anything, he steps forward and swiftly begins untying the ropes.

His hands are fast and precise, as if he's done this before.)

(Draxon and Kevin, in surprise and suspicion, speak almost together):

"Who are you?"

(The boy steps back with a slight smile. His eyes fix on Draxon, as if he's analyzing something.)

Boy (softly, voice mixed with slight surprise and curiosity):

"'ShadowRix' sword...? DarkZael... you know about them!"

(Draxon and Kevin look at each other in astonishment. Draxon frowns. Kevin leans forward slightly.)

Draxon (cautiously):

"How do you know about all this? And who... are you?"

(After a moment, Draxon composes himself, stands upright and says):

"I'm Draxon, and this is my friend Kevin. We want to know the truth about the 'ShadowRix' sword and DarkZael."

(The boy's eyes suddenly light up. His face fills with excitement.)

Boy (happily, as if a mystery has just been confirmed):

"You really are... Draxon! The final heir to that special sword?"

(Draxon and Kevin are slightly shocked. Draxon's gaze stays fixed on the boy.

The boy smiles softly and says):

"If you truly are Draxon, then you must meet my grandfather.

He'll take you to the elder — the one who knows everything."

Kevin (eagerly):

"Who is your grandfather?"

(The boy walks slowly and points toward the door.)

Boy (in a serious but calm tone):

"Come, I'll take you to him.

You'll find the answers to all your questions there.

My grandfather often visits an elder — and it was that elder who first told my grandfather about 'Draxon'."

(Draxon frowns again. He leans down and asks the boy):

"Who is this elder your grandfather meets? Who is he?"

(The boy hesitates a little before answering):

"I don't know much… my grandfather doesn't say much.

But he said, 'When the time comes, he'll appear himself.'

Maybe now is that time."

(Kevin quickly turns to Draxon, eyes wide):

"Draxon! Remember that old box...?

There was a letter in it — it mentioned a mysterious elder!

I think this might be the same elder. We should go with this boy!"

(Draxon thinks for a moment, then nods in agreement.

The boy leads the way, and the two follow him outside.)

In the silent alleys of an unknown village, three figures move forward — Draxon, Kevin, and the mysterious boy.

Before them lies a path that will lead them not only to the sword,

but to the deepest truths of Draxon's legacy.
