Chapter - 3: The Lost Map and the Sudden Attack

Draxon and Kevin slowly entered the room of Old Kaifon's old house, whose walls were silently hiding some secret.

The room was drowned in deep darkness — so much so that even breathing felt suffocating.

Kevin, with trembling hands, took out a torch and lit it. The flicker of the dim flame made the silence shudder, and the dancing shadows on the walls seemed to remind of some past tragedy.

As soon as the room was illuminated, Draxon and Kevin were stunned for a moment — as if their eyes had seen a shattered map of some conspiracy.

Torn pages of books were scattered on the floor. The door of the wooden cupboard was crooked, as if someone had forced it open. There was the smell of old papers in the air, and everything was scattered, as if someone had searched for something!

The condition of the room was screaming — there was something here that someone tried to find at any cost.

Kevin (softly, looking around) — "Draxon... someone was here. They were looking for something — and that thing must not have been ordinary."

Now Draxon and Kevin started believing that Old Kaifon's words were true.

Draxon (slowly observing the room, with concern in his eyes) —

"Everything is upside down... Kevin... it seems, someone was looking for something extremely valuable... now I truly believe that what Old Kaifon was saying, was true."

Kevin (bowing his head, in a serious tone) — "Were these the same people who surrounded you that night?

Maybe they too have found out about this mystery."

Draxon (in doubt) — "That could be possible! Maybe they were trying to find something about the special sword 'ShadowRix'.

We should also search this place thoroughly. Maybe we'll find some clue here."

After that, Draxon and Kevin treated the room like an investigation site.

Draxon picked up the old papers scattered on the ground one by one, reading each page as if some secret code was hidden.

Kevin bent down near the cupboard, where the bricks of the wall seemed a little loose.

Meanwhile, DarkZael's Spies and Men

At the same time, just a short distance from Old Kaifon's house, stood a mysterious man in the shadow of a narrow alley — wrapped in black attire from head to toe.

The gleam of binoculars was reflecting in his eyes, as if a hunter had spotted his prey.

Suddenly his lips moved — a slow, cold whisper echoed in the air —

"They have found it..."

Then he melted into the shadows of the alley without making any sound.

A masked rider, speaking to the wind, mounted a black horse — in his fist was only one piece of news, and the destination was — DarkZael,

he reached there to deliver the news.

DarkZael's man (breathing heavily) —

"Chief! That boy Draxon and his friend Kevin have reached Old Kaifon's house."

DarkZael (with a faint smile) —

"Draxon... that's the name, isn't it? This child now intends to become a thorn in my path?

Interesting... very interesting. But the game has just begun..."

(Spy, in a low voice, bowing his head) —

"Chief, we have kept an eye on his every move. He is not only stubborn but also seems quite clever."

DarkZael (looking up) —

"I want him alive... breathing, scared... so that he can look into my eyes."

(Spy, with a suppressed laugh) —

"By the way, the fear will start showing in his eyes from now itself, Chief, just give the order."

DarkZael (becoming a bit serious) —

"But do not attack them yet. Let them search... whether it is an old map, or the secret related to the sword—whatever they find, it must fall into our hands."

(Spy, nodding gently) —

"Understood. We will keep an eye on their every move, and as soon as something comes into their hands..."

DarkZael (in a cold voice) —

"Attack them with a plan, snatch whatever they have found and lock them in a room.

I will handle their case myself later."

DarkZael's man (becoming a bit serious) —

"Yes, Chief! As you say. Won't you come with us?"

DarkZael (in a serious tone) —

"No... not yet. I have another unfinished story that I need to complete.

You imprison them...

I will come when the darkness thickens—and my welcome will be with their screams."

After this, DarkZael's men went out and explained this plan to the rest of their companions.

On the back wall of the house, a shadow slipped by.

A man — his face hidden behind a black mask, eyes steady — slowly approached the window.

He was a spy of DarkZael, as per the plan.

He carefully pulled the curtain aside and peeked inside the room.

Draxon was rummaging through something on the floor, while Kevin was reading something near the wall.

Meanwhile, Draxon and Kevin

Silence filled the room. The smell of dust and old wood lingered in every corner.

Draxon and Kevin had already searched the papers, shelves, and walls — but had found nothing.

Each passing moment was increasing their restlessness... when suddenly Draxon's eyes caught a glimpse of a small chest kept in the corner.

Draxon (with a sparkle in his eyes, whispering softly):

"Kevin... look there... that small chest!

There must be something special in it. Maybe... this is what we were looking for."

Both quickly moved towards the chest. But it was locked.

Kevin (worried):

"Draxon! This chest is locked. Now what should we do?"

Draxon (bending slowly, examining the chest carefully):

"Something is embossed on it... some strange language... maybe that's a clue to open it.

This doesn't seem like an ordinary chest, Kevin... it's very old, and the lock is also of a different kind..."

But neither Draxon nor Kevin could understand that language.

Kevin (frustrated):

"We can't understand this language... now what do we do?"

Draxon thought for a while, then he wiped the spot where that strange writing was.

Draxon gently ran his fingers over the dusty surface.

As soon as he touched the letters, a shimmer rose... and the entire writing dissolved into the air.

Kevin (eyes wide open, in a panicked voice):

"Draxon... what was that? It... disappeared by itself! How is that even possible?"

Draxon (softly, in a deep voice):

"This wasn't an ordinary language... I'm sure Old Kaifon hid it in a special way — so that no enemy could open it.

They secured it only for the right person... maybe for us."

Kevin (stepping closer, eyes widening):

"Draxon... wait! Something else is appearing now... look, it says —

'To open the chest, turn it over and look underneath.'

It's like it's... talking to us..."

As they turned the chest over, they noticed a small hole — exactly in the shape of a key.

And there... an old, rusty key was already placed — as if it had been waiting for them all along.

Draxon (holding his breath) picked up the key and inserted it into the lock.

As soon as he turned it, a soft vibration echoed through the room.

Click!

With a creaking sound, the lid lifted slightly on its own —

as if some deep secret had awakened from centuries of slumber.

The Secret of the Chest

Inside the chest, there was an Old, yellowed, folded paper —

next to it, a leather-wrapped map, with faded letters inscribed on it.

The seal on the letter was still intact — bearing the same mark that was on Old Kaifon's ring.

With trembling hands, Draxon opened the letter. The paper was old, its edges slightly burnt, and the ink had faded in places.

He took a deep breath and began to read:

"If you are reading this, Draxon... it means you have already stepped onto the path from which there is no turning back.

The sword you seek will not come easily into your hands.

There is a mystery behind it — a secret known only to an old man.

When you find yourself trapped in a locked room... that will be the moment that leads you to him.

Take care of this map... it could be your first and last key..."

The words beyond that were blurred and unreadable.

Shadows were crawling along the walls of the house.

There was a rustling sound outside —

Kevin suddenly peeked through the window and whispered:

"Draxon... it seems someone is watching us..."

At that very moment — a shadow leapt down from the roof of the house.

Two men had already entered through the back door.

Eight men from DarkZael had surrounded the entire house.

Four were ready to come inside — violence in their eyes, swords in their hands.

Draxon (softly but with a hint of panic, staying alert):

"Kevin... wait. Someone's coming... those are footsteps — fast ones. Must be four or five people."

Kevin (fear in his eyes, sweat on his forehead):

"What do we do now?"

Draxon (whispering):

"Hide. Behind the wardrobe... I'll keep an eye out..."

While Kevin took shelter behind the door.

Both held their breaths, and in the next moment —

the door crashed open — four masked men stormed inside.

One of them stepped forward and shouted:

"They are here! Search the place!"

Kevin suddenly leapt from behind the door and forcefully shoved the man at the back.

He crashed straight into the table in front and fell to the ground.

At that moment, Draxon emerged from behind the wardrobe,

striking at the man in front with lightning speed — the gleam of the sword slashing through the air, piercing the eyes.

The sound of clashing metal echoed — a fierce clash, sparks flying.

But just then — another man lunged at Draxon from behind!

Draxon ducked, and the sword swished right above his head through the air.

He spun around and struck the attacker's stomach with his elbow.

Now swords were flashing from all sides!

Amidst smoke, dust, and chaos, Draxon and Kevin stood back to back —

completely surrounded.

Danger was closing in from every direction...
