Chapter 12 - Exciting...

"Your Highness, shouldn't we chase after him?" Maggie asked in confusion. She knew the Prince had more than one Flying Core.

"No, Maggie." Greader shook his head. "If you want to chase after a mad man, you would need ropes and a lot of people."

"Hmm... Yes, Your Highness." Maggie nodded in both confusion and understanding.

Understanding: she understood what he meant.

Confusuon: she does not understand what exactly was going on. She could tell that both the prince and Saquin were amongst the Divine geniuses of this Super Divine Trial. But what exactly did this Abomination mean?

"You don't have to be confused." The prince saw the confusion both Maggie's and Flair's faces. "I will explain to you in time to come."

"But first." He left their support and jumped to the floor.

"I have some questioning to do." He turned to face none other than the Casel's trio. His gaze focused primarily on Xavier.

Maggie and Flair exchanged a look. They then flew to Greader, flanking each of his side.

"You know I had always suspected the little blonde over here. I confirmed my suspicion when I got into the mansion. Getting a mansion here means you are one of the five of us." Greader smiled at Casel, but his attention did not stay on her for long before going back to Xavier.

Xavier stood unwavering at the prince's gaze.

"In what way did I fuck up my identity?" He asked with a sly grin. "Wait don't answer, I know. It was when Eminence Saquin admitted to being the abomination. The three of us being the only one with the knowledge of what an abomination was were the only one to be surprised."

"You still call him Eminence?"

"Yea, he is stronger than the rest of us. By a whole level too." Xavier replied Greader without a hint of shame.

"Have some pride, would you? You are also a Divine Level Talent genius." Greader responded with disdain.

"Yea, I am a Divine Level genius, so I won't lie to myself." Xavier snickered. "I don't have the time or patience to argue with you. I am leaving, I have to go find the Underbeast Boss location."

"You and whoever is behind you would rather go for the Supreme Bloodline Underbeast that is a Grade above us than Saquin?"

"How did you know I have someone behind... Nevermind, I should not expect less from the Golden Shining Prince."

"Mia." Greader's call cut Xavier short.

"Yep. The one behind me is Miss Mia." Xavier nodded. "And, I am sure she will decide to go after the Underbeast than Eminence Saquin."

"Why would you be so sure?"

"Cause she isn't blinded by her ego like you." Xavier scoffed. "Open your eyes prince, there so many red flags about this Saquin guy, I do not think any sane person would try going against him."

"Red flags? Seriously?"

"Yes prince. Red flags." Xavier nodded in all seriousness. "Let me do you a favor by listing a few."

"First, he is individually stronger than us. There is no denying this."

"Number two, he is really smart. Just as smart, if not smarter than you prince. He did not admit to being the abomination only just to stun you. He also did to confirm my and Casel's identity."

"Number three, he is crazy. He fearlessly admitted in front of your whole party that he is one of the necessary conditions needed to clean this event. Meaning, he does not fear you weaponizing them against him. That has transcended arrogance gone into craziness."

"And the craziest part that you refuse to see, or maybe acknowledge. He is ranked at the highest difficulty of the Trial. Don't tell me you can't read between that line, prince."

Xavier went on a whole speech.

"But, of course, that is just me. You are stronger and smarter than me prince. Maybe you can see something I can't."

And ended his speech with a smile.

Greader narrowed his eyes at Xavier.

"Tell Mia I send my greetings."

He turned and headed back to his mansion. "Maggie, Flair, Zeta, and Casel, come with."

"I shall pass on your greetings, my prince." Xavier bowed, turned around and left.

--------------

Saquin's form cut through the air, a blissful smile on his face.

"Haha, this is fun. Fighting in a non brute force way was fun. Is this what it is like to be an assassin?"

He dived down into the forest.

"Knowing the next ten moves of your opponent and using it against them..."

He retracted his wings as his form vanished behind the crown of a tree.

A Grolly Bird stood on a tree nearby, its gaze swept through the surrounding once in a while.

Suddenly, it felt the air distort in front of it.

An incoming.

It used both its wings and limbs to push itself sideways away from the incoming threat.

Puchi!

Unknown to the Underbeast, a young man was waiting for it at the side. The Underbeast impaled itself into the black sword.

The Underbeast tried to struggle, but the sword was withdrawn in a swift motion. The black sword became a short dagger that sliced through its neck as a hand held its mouth shut.

[You have successfully killed a Mid-Class Grade One(1) Underbeast. ]

[ Underessence extracted. ]

[ Skill gained. ]

A ding sounded in Saquin's head as the Underbeast's body went limp.

"Being an assassin is exciting. Really exciting."
