Chapter 26 - An Academy Arc?...

Saquin stood still in by the Captain seat.

Power raged through his whole body like a stampede of buffaloes.

"Woah." Saquin muttered as he felt the completion of his transformation.

He clenched his fists and twisted his wrists while also stretching his body.

He felt good.

At the same time, he felt the existence of new skills and abilities in his body.

My abilities and skills were always in a pseudo state due to the lack of Senar. But now...

He flicked his right wrist and a blade-shaped ice shard appeared between his fingers.

Dead Cold... I can use ice itself now and not just cold fog and shards...

A blue sheen of energy covered up the blade. And.

Slash!

He slashed at his left arm and made a large wound.

He stared at the wound. Slowly, it healed itself, even without him having to exert his will to heal.

Regeneration... Finally working properly.

After staring at for a few seconds, he then willed the Ability to work. With that, he felt Senar continuously flow to the wound area as his body consumed it to heal itself.

I mean it technically was before, slowing and stopping my bleeding, if not I would have died to blood loss.

A couple seconds later, the wound was healed without a scar left behind.

Fast... But how it compares to other healing abilities in speed, quality, and energy consumption, I can not accurately judge.

Saquin soon moved on from the ability. Next, he stretched his hands out towards a small toolbox placed at a corner of the room.

Voom!

The toolbox shot off from the ground into his hands with immense force.

Telekinesis... Nice.

He dropped the toolbox on the ground.

Then.

He looked around the whole room.

"How do I do this?" He asked himself.

"I guess I just have to follow my guts."

He said as he exerted his force on his immediate surroundings. And, slowly, but surely, he could feel the ripple in the air. The ripple soon became ripples as Saquin gained more indept control.

Prince Of space.

He then waved his hands through the ripple and it followed the pattern of his movement.

This ability is fascinating, but not as directly practical as Dead Cold...

He stopped his movement while the ripples dispersed.

For Might and Unliving... They are too abstract for me to truly understand them.

For Might, I can still vaguely feel that it has to do with my physical strength and endless stamina...

While for Unliving, I got nothing.

Saquin ran his hand through his hair as he thought of the Ability.

"I won't push it. I will learn what it does at the right time." He concluded. "I mean there are so many things I do not know. I should just add it to the list."

After getting that off his mind, his gaze shifted to the screen in front of him displaying his status.

He read through it with a brief gaze.

"This is a great improvement."

Saquin complimented himself.

"This should be a top tier Status Screen for my level." He commented off-hand. Then. "Wait, if I think about it. I should be amongst the top ten thousand strongest of my generation in the least."

He tilted his head.

"Now, I see my value as a Hybrid. Even though most of my strength stem from my talent, a great fraction is still from my Hybrid status."

He said to himself as he turned and walked out of the Pilot area.

"I am feeling hungry. I should brief the new skills as I eat."

In no time, he reached his kitchen area.

Absentmindedly, he grabbed two canned pop drink from the chilling machine, and also a small bucket of left over chicken.

"I was barely gone a day, they should still be good."

He reached the resident area after a couple of steps.

The Simus-X3 was a Starship, and unlike Spaceships, was built for luxury, speed and maneuverability and not just to transverse the harshness of space. In a sense, it was a sports car of the car world, Starships, while Spaceships would be airplanes.

Saquin crashed into his bed with his dinner.

"Now, where was I?" Saquin questioned himself as he slowly stuffed a chicken wing into his mouth.

"Food is life." His said as he scanned through his Skill tab.

"Damn, why is it so crowded." A hint of annoyance creeped up in him.

"I still haven't truly assimilated those five other skills. I think I should do that first."

He willed the system to allow the skills to assimilate with him.

Then.

[ Five new Skills acquired.

- Unliving Breath (Dead Cold Corrupted Dragonkin Breath) (Active) {Unique}

- Martial Body Movement (Martial) {Technique}

- Sharpshooter (Passive) {Mundane}

- Ice Rain (Active) {Hyper}

- Cold Fist (Dead Cold Corrupted Golden Fist) (Active) {Mundane}

]

Saquin felt a stream of knowledge flow into his head as the Skills became a part of his skill set.

"Active and Passive. One would think that would be the two main categories for Skill types."

Saquin pooped open a can and sipped it slowly.

"But no, there has to be a Martial included in there."

Saquin could not make heads or tails of the Martial category. As someone who had the Skill, he knew how it worked. It was a series of body techniques and movement that bolters someone's combat abilities. According to normal logic, it should be categorized as an Active Skill, but the system said no.

To make the Skill categorization even weirder, the system decided to place it under a total new rarity type, Technique.

"Growth, Unique, Hyper, Mundane... From a point of view this all follows a logical setup, but, the truth is it is all scattered rubbish."

Saquin ranted as he slowly chewed his chicken and topped it off with his drink.

"The System is really too complicated. At least to a new comer like me." Saquin complained.

"In fact, not just the System. The Empowered World is too broad and my knowledge pool is lacking severely."

As he thought to this point, he paused.

"I need to gain more knowledge about this. The most logical option is the Net. But, that is too unreliable, but enough resech should prove sufficient." He started going through the notion in his head. "Or, go somewhere I can get the right and widely accredited knowledge systematically or instantly."

Just as he said this finish, a familiar voice sounded in his head.

[ An Academy Arc? :) ]
