The first thing to come in
his sight was again thick fog but this time there were trees in the area too giving
an eerie look of an isolated forest bathing in thick grayish white fog. It was
the time of dawn and some streaks of light were already illuminating through
the dense fog illumination rays of light dispersing through the dense forest.
It was enough to make out what was there but not clearly see everything. Ells
looks towards the forest and holds his staff firmly and tightly so in case
anything attacks him, he could fend it off with lightning bolts or laser shots
from his staff. He slowly walks towards the eerie and dead forest where not
even a sound of a bird was present. He slowly whispered in a low voice that not
even his ears could make out clearly. He remarked the eerie atmosphere of the
forest like a poet
"All everyone wanted was complete silence and serenity
This forest is such an example of the wish that one
cannot deny from
Still when you attain it, it by itself is so terrifying
that you are willing to let go of it willingly
Humans really are complex and complicated beings"
He didn't utter a single
word and wandered through the forest. To make sure that he doesn't go through
the same area twice and do not get lost, he marks every tree he encounters on
his path at various turns. He uses his staff as a compass to be clear of the
direction he's going in.
"Since I can make sure from the way the light of the
sun reacts and the behavior of the light of dawn, this is a planet that is
nearly in size to Earth and has a thick atmosphere enough to harbor life and
funny enough, it has trees and high levels of oxygen but one of God's best joke
is that there is no life on the planet aside from plants and trees. Not even a
bird or an insect. All I encountered are dead bodies and rotten skeletons and
bones. Relics of previous civilizations, both alien and human."
He walks for next 20
minutes until he reaches a lake with fresh water that was not polluted and
looks crystal clear. It reflected the rays of light scattering through the
dense layer of gray fog which wrapped the entire forest. He bends over and puts
his face right into the stream of water to drink through it. After quenching
his thirst, he picked up his staff and marked the location of the lake and
saved the coordinates and took some pictures of the surrounding area through
his phone so that he could come back and drink through it. He knew that he
needed to drink and eat to survive. He doesn't utter a single word and without
giving a second thought, continues his journey. After walking for another 10
minutes, he finally comes out of the forest but what sight meets his eye frightens
him and completely obliterates his will and mind. He meets sight with a broken
city that looked like human civilization. As for how old it was, no one could
tell because in 2050, people stopped living in traditional houses but rather in
scientific colonies that were enclosed and encapsulated tightly so that general
public and civilians wouldn't get hurt or affected by the insane gravitational
anomaly. He sees an electric board that was still attached and hung by some
electrical wires. The sign was hung on a half broken metal pole whose paint was
gone and covered in rust. The electric board was still working and it was
displaying only one text
"Welcome to
Shibuya, Japan
4th
August, 2025"
He is so terrified that he forgets that he is stuck on a
foreign planet. All he could see was the neon board and some silhouettes of
tall but half broken and some completely destroyed buildings and their rubbles.
Amidst the fog he sees a figure that was nearly as tall as a skyscraper. It has
a humanoid figure but its arms and legs and body looked so slender that it felt
like it was a figure made out of match sticks. One could look at it and could
say it the real siren head without the sirens on its head. As Ells was looking
at the figure, he was too stunned to even move from his place. He gazed at the
figure and mistook it for a statue but soon there came a terrifying shriek that
could rupture one's heart and brain if it was any closer to it. When Ells heard
it, he ran at his full speed and look around for a shelter nearby. He soon sees
a church that wasn't destroyed. A thought came to his mind at this crucial
moment
Churches often
have basements underground. Perhaps I can use that as a shelter
He nears the church and enters it, immediately locking all
the gates. He sits on the floor leaning against the big door of the church
which he just closed to follow up his breath after running through such
distance. He looks at himself and starts crying like a child uttering only one
word
"Where am I?
What is this
place?
Is this really the
Japan back in 2025
I want to go back
home
I am no hero or
some protagonist"
Tears pouring down his face which gave such a sad and
disappointed look that one could lose his heart by just sight to his face. He
slowly looks up and sees yet again another skeleton but this time it was of the
church father. Ells puked on this sight. As he hadn't eaten anything good during
his time on this foreign yet familiar planet, he puked the water he just
consumed on his way here. After collecting himself, he walks towards the father
and grabs the book from his hand. It was not bible. When he looked around to
get a good analysis of the church, he is shocked to find that the church is not
the one that existed in the year 2025. The church worshipped a goddess named "Mistress
Of Time" and the book the father was holding was named "Gospel of church of
Time". As it was all written in Japanese so Ells had to translate all the text
with his staff. He doesn't read the gospel and saves it inside his lab coat
which he was still wearing. He finds it troublesome to first translate the text
and then read so he considers to read it some other time. He starts taking
heavy breaths due to being scared to his core. After wandering through the
church for 5 minutes, he finally finds the basement. After descending the
stairs, his sight meets the holy relics of the church including divine
materials related to the goddess. He sees a glimmer of hope because if he can
summon an angel, the angel can at least save him and return him to his home.
