Chapter 6 - Prophets

After picking up the stone

slab and reading only the first line, he was shocked to read the word 'Angel'. He

immediately threw the slab on the ground and sprinted towards the opposite of

the murals. As it was dark so he took out his phone for torch and after

reaching a dead end did he calm down and started thinking. He sat down there

resting his back against the wall when his eyes fell on 7 skeletons. He was so

scared that he vomited on sight. After complete 5 minutes for collecting

himself to get a clear thought, he took one more glance at the skeletons that

also rested against the opposite wall. During this time he uttered not a single

word and only thought deeply.

Let me get a

closer look. I might be the first human to examine a skeleton of an alien maybe

He composed himself and stood up for a closer inspection. On

his way, he completely froze in fear because the skeletons were human. He took

a step back and just stared at them with one thought in his head.

"Where am I?

On this planet

there are dead unidentified alien species and human remains!

What exactly is

this place?"

He took a look at their clothes which were tethered but

still one could make out their appearance. All those 5 skeletons wore simple

black dress and a long black cloak that almost covered their entire body

including head just revealing their faces of which only their facial bones

remained. It was a simple black cloak with no design or symbol. He didn't touch

the skeletons due to being cautious for getting an infection from touching dead

decayed bodies. He highlighted the ground in front of the seven skeletons with

the torch of his phone. He found strange symbols and language that was

different from the language he found in the destroyed village of aliens. When

he leaned in for closer look, he is interested to find that the language is

English. He mutters in a low voice

"Wasn't English a

dead language? What is this language doing here. The language died in 2032 and

was replaced by Semitic language like Arabic e.t.c. I don't know English but

luckily I have my staff that can translate any language. I should be lucky."

He smiles on finding that he can translate the language with

his staff but is then devastated by the fact that he is stuck on a foreign planet.

He uses his staff to scan the symbol written on the floor in front of the 7

skeletons. He reads through each one of them one by one. It said

"We the Prophets

of Heavens. Chosen by greatest of all Celestials ruling over everything. We

bear witness for your existence. We prophesies your coming. Your true heir will

be one who will kill the dark emperor. He will be accompanied by fate and gods.

He will bring light to the new universe. The one who will save everyone during

the hour. He will not know who he will be but will be recognized by his wings

that will shelter every living thing. We give our lives for this sake. The

chosen one will come from here. As for when, we don't know but if you the

chosen one can read this, we want to thank you for bringing hope to a dead

world."

When Ells read all of that, he first felt frightened but

then he thought for something

Maybe I am the

chosen one. Well maybe I just read it by accident. It mentions the chosen one

as some really powerful entity. I am a mere human who is trapped on this

forsaken planet. Also I don't believe in Angels and Gods. There is no such

thing as God. As far as I am concerned, I am just a lonely traveler. Someone

who came from a dead planet leaving my wife and children behind. I hope they

made it to a good planet from the technology I gave them.

After a full 10 minutes pondering over the text, he looks up

and sees another mural over the ceiling of the cave. It represented an entity

whose face was covered in white light and had several wings. Under its wings

there were countless planets. And above that entity there were thousands of

stars that were depicted as eyes gazing over the entity. Below it was written

in English "Hope Of The Hour".

Ells move his head away from the mural and look towards the

area where dropped the slab that contained information to summon an Angel. He

thinks to himself

Even back on my planet,

angels were believed to be divine and a source of light in many Religions. Maybe

I should give it a try and ask that angel to bring me back home. It is still

better than dying in a cave with no body to speak to except some skeletons and some

rations that will only last for 3 days max

He makes up his mind and walks towards the slab. After

picking it up, he reads it thoroughly

"Recipe : Summon

an Angle of Divine

Step 1: Pick the material

representing the god you believe in

Step 2: Break the material

Step 3: Pick its

broken shards and poke them into your chest until they are complete submerged

into your chest

Step 4: Wait for

your body to dissolve the shards

Step 5: Blow a

flute until you lose your breath

Step 6: Use your

blood and make a mirror with it and place the solid blocks of leftover material

into the pool of blood until the blood becomes red mirror that reflects everything

Step 7: Wait for the

Angel to appear

After reading all of that, there was only one thought in

Ells mind

Bullshit!!!!!

He didn't know what the materials of the divine referred to

so he made a conclusion. He muttered in a low voice

"Maybe the Gods

people believe in have divine materials that they give to people for summoning

the Angels serving under them. This theory might be wrong but it suits the best

under the condition given. Plus I am actually kind of sure because of all those

isekai novels and fictional novels and books I have read when I was a child.

Never knew that I will experience it firsthand and those books will be so

useful. Thank you Tolkien and Cuttlefish sama."

He spent the next 10 minutes lying down in the cave

searching for a solution for the when a thought came to his mind.

In my world, there

used to be churches that contained divine or holy relics and scriptures. If

people believe in Gods on this planet then there should be same stuff here too.

In that case I should go outside the bubble and see if I can find some church.

I will just need to choose a God and then I am good to go.

He take some of the rations with him and picks his staff. He

goes outside the cave and after walking on a straight path for next 10 minutes,

he reaches the bubble separating the area he was in with the world outside. He puts

his staff on his chest, close his eyes and walks past the barrier .
