Ahsoka felt the dark Force overflowing from Milisen gradually dissipate under her own push. Milisen also slowly woke up, her painful emotions swept away.
"That's great..."
Ahsoka walked over, picked up the not-yet-fully-conscious Milisen, and walked in Amir's direction.
"What happened here?" Ahsoka asked in surprise, looking at the devastated floor.
"Got carried away, got carried away," Amir laughed sheepishly.
The remaining Dragon Slugs in the room had fled through another door in the corner.
"Are you hurt?" Ahsoka asked.
"No, no. I threw the lampstand in first. Most of them were fleeing."
He put a filter on Milisen. Amir looked at the still-weak girl.
"Amir! Hehehe." Milisen giggled when she saw Amir.
The dark Force within her was calm, but Amir knew it was likely just dormant.
"I used my Force to dilute the concentration of Milisen's dark Force." Ahsoka was also a bit weak; what she had just done had taken a toll on her.
"Dilute? How do you 'dilute' it?" Amir asked, puzzled. He couldn't do that.
"My Force... is a bit different..." Ahsoka gathered her thoughts. "Over a decade ago, my master and I went to a mystical realm, a Force planet, Mortis. Three beings lived there: the Father, the Daughter, and the Son."
"The Daughter was connected to the light side, pure and selfless. The Son was connected to the dark side, evil, cunning, and trying to escape Mortis to bring disaster to the galaxy. They were unimaginably powerful. Fortunately, the 'Father' restrained them, keeping them on Mortis."
"But the 'Father' was dying. To continue maintaining the balance, he hoped for our help. And only the legendary Chosen One could control both the light side and the dark side."
"During the struggle, I was controlled and corrupted by the 'Son's' dark Force. It was the 'Daughter' who saved me with her purest light-side Force. Since then, I've been learning to use this gift I received."
Seeing Ahsoka pause, Milisen said from her arms, "And then? And then!?"
"Haha, before that, my master controlled both the 'Daughter' and the 'Son' by himself, proving the prophecy that he was the Chosen One."
"Wow, the Chosen One! That sounds so cool!" Milisen's eyes sparkled.
"Haha, of course. He was a very powerful Jedi Knight." Ahsoka was lost in memory, her eyes full of pride.
Amir sighed inwardly. Although Ahsoka had her suspicions about what happened back then, she still didn't know that Darth Vader was her master, Anakin Skywalker. When she learned the truth one day, it would be a devastating blow.
He didn't know if Obi-Wan would tell her, but Amir certainly wouldn't say anything now.
Along the way, Milisen pestered Ahsoka to tell her more about the Chosen One. Amir listened from the side with great interest. Ahsoka became Anakin's apprentice during the Clone Wars. They were master and student, as well as comrades-in-arms. They grew together in the war, sharing life and death, and had an incredibly deep emotional bond.
It must be very hard for her to accept that the master she trusted and respected had become the brutal Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Not wanting to interrupt the heartwarming story time, Amir stepped over the field of mangled bodies and walked toward the bald-headed 32. "Why were you affected by the illusion? You don't need to breathe!"
32 looked a little embarrassed when asked. He scratched his head and said, "I... don't know."
"Maybe it was transmitted to your brain through the nutrient fluid? How do you feel now?" Amir was worried he would fall back into it.
"Had... electric shock..." 32 said with difficulty.
"Oh!" Amir remembered. When he and Kahalman were installing his body, he remembered an emergency system. If 32 fainted or lost consciousness, it would automatically use electrical stimulation on his brain to help him wake up.
He didn't expect it to be used here. That was also why 32 was able to wake up on his own.
He picked up the lampstand from the ground. The fragile pillar had been battered in the chaos, but it was still stubbornly emitting light. Only now did Amir begin to observe the surroundings.
"This is a side hall. Something was probably stored here, but it's gone now," Ahsoka said, pointing to a recess in the center of the floor.
"The patterns on the floor are very similar to the ones on Adrian. There are also grooves for Massassi crystals. A pity there are no crystals," Amir observed, kicking away a still-twitching piece of slug.
"Let's keep moving forward. That dark Force is still deeper inside," Ahsoka said. Milisen had also recovered her energy and was standing on the ground.
"Eww~ Sticky!" Milisen looked at the floor in disgust. This slime was getting her new shoes dirty!
"Let's get to the next room." Amir led the way with the lampstand.
The next room was almost identical to the last. The floor was also covered in complex lines, like a magic circle drawn by an ancient wizard, but it was also missing the Massassi crystals.
"Either the builders took them, or someone came here before," Ahsoka said.
Amir nodded. After all, several hundred years had passed. It was very likely it had been looted.
Even if no one had come, as a temple for storing or sealing items, it was reasonable for the owner to take the crystals if it wasn't used for a long time.
Amir continued walking, not holding out much hope. The crystals he carried in his backpack were all from Adrian. The number was definitely not enough. If there was no unexpected windfall, this trip might be for nothing. He could only come back and try again after collecting more crystals.
The sound of Dragon Slugs moving could still be heard in the distance, but as the group's footsteps approached, they all began to flee further away. Clearly, Amir had terrified them.
"Vwoom! Vwoom! Vwoom!" Milisen swung Ahsoka's ice pick like a lightsaber, complete with sound effects.
Amir couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at! You had a big fight with monsters and didn't even call me... to watch. Hmph!" Milisen was indignant that she had missed the big fight.
"You fell asleep on your own. You can't blame me," Amir retorted.
"I don't care! I'm going to be the Chosen One! Hoho! I'll kill all the bad guys!" Milisen was still "practicing" her swordplay.
So, she got all riled up after listening to Ahsoka's stories.
