Chapter 38 - A Little Doesn’t Hurt

Jiang Qi walked into the casino with Shen Yi's hand firmly in his, though Shen Yi's expression and stiff posture made it clear he was unwilling. Behind them followed only Yao Zhen because Xu Bo had gone to park the car.

The atmosphere in the casino was tense instead of its usual lively hum, and there were dozens of guards inside split into two groups. One group clearly belonged to Jiang Qi as the casino's own security while the other was obviously aligned with the young man standing directly in front of them. He looked like he was in his early twenties. He wore a multicoloured shirt and jeans, with neatly styled hair but a face flushed red with anger, and he was breathing heavily as if he had just narrowly escaped drowning.

"How dare some lowly guards defy me? Beat them up!" the man shouted, his voice echoing in the room as he pointed at the casino bouncers.
