Chapter 39 - A Long Day

It had been almost an hour since Jiang Qi left Shen Yi on the couch and went to "greet," according to him, a few business partners. Although Shen Yi knew this was business, he could not help but curse inwardly. For heaven's sake, why was he dragged here. Because standing on guard a little distance away from him was Yao Zhen, who never cared to say a single word. Shen Yi had already drunk halfway through the wine while once again looking towards Jiang Qi's way, only to see that the man was still in a conversation with two men who seemed to be around his age. With an inward sigh he closed his eyes and leaned into the couch but even then his ears stayed fully alert as it was the natural instinct of someone highly trained.
