[FLASHBACK: SHEN YI AND JIANG QI'S FIRST MEETING. FROM CHAPTER 48-51]
It was close to midnight. The road was quiet with only a few streetlights glowing dimly. Young, 17 years old Shen Yi had just finished his first ever kill. His heart was still unsteady but his face showed nothing as he rode his bike back to report to his uncle.
Out of nowhere, a figure darted into the road. Shen Yi's eyes widened as he swerved hard, but it was too sudden. The bike clipped the man and the both of them went crashing down. The bike scraped against the ground before clattering onto its side.
Shen Yi hissed under his breath as he pushed himself up, brushing dirt from his clothes. His body ached from the impact, but he was not badly hurt. He turned quickly, his sharp eyes searching the man lying on the road.
