After a thirty minutes walk, they came to a stop at a waterfall. The sound of water crashing down filled the silence that had lingered between them for too long. Jiang Qi finally broke it, his voice calm yet carrying a hidden firmness.
"Here. We'll hide here until aid arrives."
Shen Yi's eyes scanned the place carefully. He saw nothing but the tall trees around and the endless stream of water falling before them. His brows furrowed as he asked, "Where specifically?"
Jiang Qi smirked, his lips curving with that hint of mystery, and without another word he began moving closer to the fall. "Follow me," he said.
Shen Yi obeyed, though doubt flickered across his face. As soon as they reached the edge, Jiang Qi stepped into the water without hesitation. His figure sank in, and in a moment he was swimming forward. Shen Yi stood frozen for a while, conflicted, wondering what Jiang Qi was doing. His shoes were already soaked, but he did not follow instantly.
