"I'll walk out first…" Jiang Qi was seriously suggesting when Shen Yi caught his shoulder firmly and shook his head.
"We go out together."
Jiang Qi opened his mouth, wanting to argue, but he stopped himself. He knew Shen Yi was just as worried for him as he was for Shen Yi. He swallowed back the words and said, "Okay."
They both understood the position of the one man outside. From where he stood, he could clearly see them if they walked out through the door. Shen Yi narrowed his eyes and whispered, "Wait."
Jiang Qi paused. Shen Yi reached for the handle. In one sharp move, he unlocked the door and flung it open, then instantly rushed back towards Jiang Qi. Without warning, he wrapped his arm tightly around Jiang Qi's waist, dragging him into the corner. Both of them were pressed against the wall where they could see the door without being seen.
