Synopsis
Gravemont Academy is the most prestigious school in the country—built for the rich and the powerful. Every student must take an entrance test to determine their placement. But when Liora arrives, something feels off. One student “transfers” the day she arrives. Another one disappears before the first week ends. And then the notes start. Don’t trust them. Watch who’s watching you. Especially him—Ethan Gravemont, the top student with ice in his eyes and a reputation that makes everyone else stay away. But instead of ignoring her like he does everyone, he starts showing up. Asking questions. Looking at her like she’s already in danger. As whispers grow louder and more students vanish, she starts to wonder what kind of school she’s really attending… and why she was warned in the first place. Because at Gravemont Academy, not every student is meant to leave. And some tests were never meant to be passed.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Liora stared at the headmaster's office with a nonchalant look.

She'd been dreading this day — the day she was torn from her family without her permission. She didn't want to come here.

Gravemont Academy: a boarding school for the rich and powerful.

Her parents had made the decision themselves, not wanting a troublemaking, spoiled brat in their home anymore.

But Liora didn't think she was that bad.

All she'd done was argue back whenever someone said women were weak and useless compared to men. But when the teacher or any adult was on the receiving end of her arguments, it was considered disrespectful to speak back.

What was the point of conversation, then?

Liora stood up, slinging her backpack over her shoulder and grabbing her suitcase.

Her dad walked out, a fake smile plastered on his face.

"Thanks for understanding our situation."

The headmaster, Mr. Clark, only nodded, glancing at Liora and offering a small smile.

"Let's go, Liora. Mr. Clark gave me the key to your room."

With that, the father and daughter duo headed upstairs to the student rooms.

The only thing that made Adam, Liora's father, doubt sending her here was that boys' and girls' sections were not separated.

His wife had made it clear she couldn't handle their bratty teenager anymore, leaving him no choice but to send Liora to boarding school.

Like all other students at Gravemont, Liora didn't have a roommate. This was a privilege, so there was enough room for the current 226 students studying at the academy.
