Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

Ray Trudged through the front door, his backpack weighing him down. He had just gotten home from school, and his mind was still reeling from the day's events. As he entered the house, he was greeted by the sound of loud music and laughter.

who could this be from,

he muttered.

Ray's eyes scanned the room, taking in the chaos. it was Ryder and His friends, they were scattered around the living room, each engaged in their own activity.

Amy , sat on the couch, her eyes fixed on her mini tablet. Ryder's gaze lingered on her for a moment

giving her a sign to go do her research in his room and vacating the noisy environment,

before he continued to the dining table, to go look at the day's food roaster.

As he walked, Ray tried to avoid eye contact with anyone. He didn't want to get drawn into a conversation or, worse, an argument. He had had a long day, and all he wanted was some peace and quiet.

Ray trudged up the stairs, exhaustion etched on his face, As he entered his room, he dropped his backpack onto the floor.

His body ached from carrying the heavy bag all day. His shoulders slumped, and his eyes felt heavy. Ryder's muscles were tense, reflecting his stress.

He headed to the bathroom to unwind with a warm bath. As he stripped off his clothes, his reflection showed a tired young man with a furrowed brow.

After the bath, Ryder's muscles relaxed, and his eyes looked brighter. His skin glowed from the warmth, and his hair was damp and messy.

Feeling refreshed, Ray put on comfortable clothes and headed downstairs. The aroma of dinner wafted up, and his stomach growled in anticipation.

As he walked into the dining area, the warm lighting highlighted his clean, refreshed face. Ray's eyes sparkled, and his smile hinted at relief.

Just as Ryder reached the dining table, Milicent called out, "sir Ray, come sit down! Dinner's ready!"

he paused his thoughts for a while

what gave her the audacity to speak to him

but Ray's stomach growled in response, reminding him that he had skipped lunch.

He took a seat next to Amy, who smiled at him warmly. Ray returned the smile, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his little sister. She was always there for him, no matter what.

As they sat down to eat, sir Backwood walked down to join dinner and

began to talk about his day. Ray listened half-heartedly, his mind wandering back to school. He had a lot on his plate, and he wasn't sure how he was going to manage it all.

Dad!! Amy cut in

aren't you going to Ask Ryder and his friends to reduce the volume of their speakers? It's ruining dinner!"

he's having some fun time with his friends!!

Their dad calmly got up, walked over to Ryder, and said, "Hey, boy, little Amy is trying to enjoy dinner. Can you keep the music down or wear headphones?"

Ryder nodded thou hesitant ,

the music volume decreased. The dinner table returned to a more pleasant atmosphere.

"Happy Now Dad asked"

yes

The dinner conversation flowed easily, with milicent & everyone chatting about their day. sir backwoods noticed RAY asked him about school, and Ray hesitated before answering. He didn't want to talk about his struggles, but he knew his father would only worry if he didn't say something.

"School's fine, Dad," Ray said finally. "Just a lot of homework."

His father nodded, seeming to accept the answer. Ray breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that the conversation had moved on.

As they finished dinner, Ray felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had made it through the meal without any major conflicts. Now, all he wanted to do was relax and unwind.
