Hiding the identity of the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki?
Just look at those villagers, calling Naruto a "demon fox" left and right, practically ready to stamp the title of Jinchuriki on his forehead.
The son of a hero, and yet treated like that—Minato honestly didn't know how to feel.
He couldn't imagine how his son could still grow up so bright and kind after everything he'd been through.
It left him unsure whether he should be proud or heartbroken.
As Hokage, he wanted his son to have that kind of strength. But as a father, he wished the people who hurt Naruto would get what they deserved.
Still, he was alive now, and everything could still be changed.
He felt nothing but gratitude for the group leader, for sharing such important knowledge of the future.
Child of Nature: "That's about all for now. You all keep chatting—I've got class."
Ordinary Group Leader: "..."
Seriously, no matter how many times she heard it, the idea of "going to class" still felt weird.
Brandon White had no idea how Roxie Vale felt—he left the chat group simply because their homeroom teacher had arrived.
The thirty minutes of morning reading had slipped away in everyone's passionate debates and wild ideas about the future.
Even now, a lot of students were still lost in their daydreams, completely missing the teacher's arrival.
Their homeroom teacher, hair already thinning, didn't seem upset. He just leaned against the door, sipping tea, and watched the show.
Normally, as voices dropped lower and lower, the room would naturally quiet down until no one was talking.
But today, maybe because superpowers were such a shock, everyone was even more absorbed than usual.
Minutes ticked by, but no one noticed anything was different.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
"…Ow!"
"Who hit me? Don't you know who you're messing with?"
"I'm going to be the world's greatest fire mage! Who dares hit me?"
"Wait… that strength…"
Several chalk pieces, as if guided by an unseen force, shot straight for their heads.
The sudden sting jolted everyone back to reality, and they jumped up, searching for their "attacker."
And then—
"What's wrong? Weren't you all trying to show off for me just now?"
"Our future grand fire mage isn't saying anything? Come on, I'm just a lowly homeroom teacher—I don't dare upset someone like you."
The teacher's sarcastic tone made a few students scratch their heads, embarrassed, as they quickly straightened up in their seats.
The teacher nodded, sipped his tea, then continued:
"I get why you're excited—you all awakened superpowers, huh? I was just as hyped last night, but—"
"Wait, teacher, you awakened too?" Sean Summers blurted out in disbelief.
It was one thing for classmates to awaken, but even the teacher?
Did that mean his parents had probably awakened too? He'd just finished showing off in front of them that morning—if they had powers, he'd just embarrassed himself all over again.
"You got a problem with that?"
The teacher squinted at Sean, chalk at the ready.
"No, no, just surprised, that's all," Sean stammered, waving his hands nervously. "Please go on."
The teacher finally set the chalk down and continued,
"My power is called Target Lock. The details are a bit complicated, but you can think of it like an aimbot from video games—any attack I make locks on exactly where I want it to go."
"Whoa, auto-aim? So if you had a gun or bow, you'd be unbeatable early on!"
Hearing about the teacher's almost cheat-like superpower, even Brandon couldn't help but smack his lips in amazement.
That was crazy overpowered in the early game—bows, guns, whatever, as long as he could attack, nobody could dodge him.
The teacher coughed,
"Don't look so shocked. My power has a range limit—right now, it only works within seven or eight meters."
"Now that's more reasonable. If there was no range, you could take someone out from the other side of the planet. Real-life 'Wanted'."
"Yeah, that'd be way too much."
The limitation was a relief, but everyone could agree the power was still intimidating.
"Alright, listen up. Settle down and pay attention; you'll have your turn to talk later."
"The government takes this superpower thing very seriously, and the school's been ordered to cooperate with a formal investigation."
"So, everyone who's awakened a power—stand up."
…
Everyone glanced around but not a single student stood.
Each face wore the same "Not me, don't look at me" expression.
"Did you all watch too many movies or something?"
The teacher was exasperated. He'd never imagined his class would be this sneaky.
Weren't you all chatting like crazy a minute ago when I wasn't in the room?
"nobody's going to snatch you away for research."
"And with so many awakenings, there are plenty of powered people in the military already.
There are even volunteers. You're not going to be anybody's first choice."
"For a bunch of kids, you sure overthink things."
"Honestly…"
He shook his head, but had to laugh a little. His students were all a bunch of oddballs.
"Alright, let me be clear."
"Everyone with a power, come with me to the sports field in a bit. We'll do a demonstration, then register you."
"Your information will be saved, and it'll even give you bonus points on your college entrance exams."
"Seriously, give your country a little more credit. Have some confidence in your own country!"
The teacher's gentle scolding didn't embarrass anyone.
After all, this was about their own safety—nobody could blame them for being a little cautious.
But if it was just for registration…
"Hey, teacher, do you think the government will set up some kind of superpower association? Like the Avengers, or those secret dragon organizations in the novels?"
Wyatt Zhang's eyes lit up as he spoke.
"With this many people awakening powers, there's no way it's limited to just humans. Animals, insects, and plants might awaken too."
"In the future, we might even be fighting for Earth's top spot with them."
"The government will definitely form groups to defend against all that, right?"
He'd always loved the idea of mysterious organizations working behind the scenes to protect the country.
He'd even spent ages online searching for real-life versions—only to find they were just fictional.
