Li Chenzhou stood in the defendant's dock, his expression as cold and unyielding as iron, as if the trial had nothing to do with him. The media seats were packed with reporters, camera flashes erupting incessantly, while the front row of the public gallery was occupied by all the top executives of the Li Group—except for Li Moting.

The judge struck the gavel: "This court is now in session regarding the 27 charges against Li Chenzhou, including murder and illegal human experimentation—"

"Sorry I'm late."

A cool, composed female voice rang out from the courtroom doors.

Every head turned.

Xia Xiaoman walked in, dressed in a crisp white suit, her long hair tied back, carrying a thick archival folder. Her appearance was like a detonated bomb, instantly igniting chaos in the courtroom.

For the first time, Li Chenzhou's eyes flickered with unease.

"Witness Xia Xiaoman," the judge frowned. "Your written testimony has already been submitted. There was no need for you to appear in person."
