At this moment, Mu spoke again.

"Moreover, that young man truly wants to help us. I can feel that he harbors no ill will towards us."

The rigid Natarle asked, "Based on what?"

Mu grinned, pointing to his head. "Instinct."

Natarle frowned. "Instinct? Lieutenant, this is no game. Even if he helped us, it doesn't prove that he and that unknown mobile suit have no other agenda. He's simply too suspicious, and being able to operate a mobile suit so skillfully, couldn't he be a Coordinator?"

Muriu, even Natarle, who was a soldier, was incredibly rigid about regulations, and Mu had realized this from his conversation with Natarle.

Mu forced a bitter smile. "Lieutenant Ramius should have heard of my title, right?"

Natarle didn't understand why Mu brought this up, but she knew that the man in front of her wasn't the kind of person who constantly boasted about his military achievements.

"I know. Lieutenant Mu, you were called 'Hawk of Endymion' for shooting down five ZAFT GINN (ZGMF-1017) mobile suits with your Mobius Zero in the Endymion Crater on the moon."

Mu quickly raised a hand, gesturing for Natarle to stop. He himself was feeling a bit embarrassed hearing it.

"But you might not know how I defeated the GINNs. I was born with an intuition different from ordinary people and a spatial awareness exceeding most others. It's precisely because of this ability that I was able to stand out in the military and become an ace pilot for the Earth Alliance. Can you understand that? This intuition not only works in combat, but it also has an indescribable accuracy when judging people. In short, this intuition has never harmed me. That young man did not make me feel any sense of alert."

Natarle fell silent. She believed what Mu said was true. After all, how could a Natural, without some special ability, possibly take down five GINNs with just a Mobile Armor?

The Mobile Armors in this world were not like the ones from Mikazuki's side that massacred a quarter of humanity; they weren't that terrifying.

They were mostly support-oriented, often taking the form of fighter jets, small submarines, or MS auxiliary flight units.

The fact that Mu, as a Natural, could maneuver a Mobile Armor against Mobile Suits without falling behind already indicated that his abilities were far from simple.

Natarle sighed. "I understand. Then I'll temporarily believe him, just like the two lieutenants. However, I still maintain suspicion regarding his identity."

Mu and Muriu exchanged smiles, finally having persuaded her.

Natarle continued, "So what about those civilian children? Knowing military secrets means we can't let them leave."

Mu clasped his hands behind his head, saying to Muriu, "Captain, the young man named Kira operated the Gundam, right?"

"Ah, yes. To be honest, I don't know what the situation is with Mikazuki-kun, but that child is definitely a Coordinator."

Natarle's expression changed. The child who piloted the Strike Gundam was a Coordinator?

Mu stood up and walked to the bridge window, looking at the busy Earth Alliance forces outside.

"Thinking about it, this is a neutral country, Orb's, colonial satellite. It's not strange for Newtypes who dislike war to live here."

Muriu mused, "The Strike's power is indispensable. Although it doesn't conform to regulations, if Kira-kun is willing to help us..."

"But, that's a Coordin..."

Mu suddenly interrupted Natarle. "My intuition tells me that young man is also fine, Lieutenant Ramius, what do you say?"

"You two..."

Natarle saw the expressions on Muriu and Mu's faces, and the words on her lips ultimately went unsaid. She sighed helplessly and said, "Both of your ranks are higher than mine. Since you've both decided, what more can I say?"

Muriu blossomed into a smile, apologizing, "I'm sorry, Natarle, but these are extraordinary times. We're severely short on personnel and combat power. We can only make an exception and ask those children and the surviving civilians for help."

Natarle nodded without objection. She understood this perfectly well. The Archangel could not break out of Heliopolis with just this small group of people.

The Earth Alliance forces still alive under ZAFT's bombardment had basically all gathered on the Archangel, but even so, there weren't enough personnel.

For example, the combat command room, where the bridge副舰长 (first officer) would be, only had her, making it impossible to manage everything. That position was meant for multiple people, including communications officers, MS controllers, etc.

It was the same as the main bridge where the Captain and helmsman were; what could one Captain do? Could he operate the battleship or fire the cannons?

So the only solution now was to find civilians with similar experience to help them fill the missing personnel.

"Good, since it's decided, I'll go talk to those children. After all, they're not Mikazuki-kun."

Muriu said as she got up from the captain's chair and left the bridge.

In the MS hangar, Mikazuki sat shirtless in the Barbatos's cockpit, connected to the Alaya-Vijnana System, checking the progress of Barbatos's equipment. Outside, the maintenance crew was still busy.

"That old man looks like Boss, but much cleaner than Boss."

Orga's voice appeared. "If Boss heard you say that, he'd probably cry."

"No way, because Boss has Merrybid, and she'll comfort Boss."

"Hahahaha, you're right, they're getting married soon... Hey, Mikazu."

"Mm?"

"We absolutely have to go back alive, both you and I."

"Ah, I know. I'll definitely never die a second time. I still have to go back... to see my child."

"Eh? You have a child already?"

"Before I left, Atra said she was pregnant. Kudelia promised she'd raise him with her."

"Really..."
