Chapter 32: The Convergence Point — Reflections of Unknown
After a whole day,
Unknown closed his eyes,
then...
Unknown sank into sleep.
When he slept,
his consciousness began to shift to another place,
a place called "The Convergence Point."
Unknown found himself sitting beside many people.
Some of them showed different emotions,
while others showed none at all.
When Unknown appeared near them,
they all looked at him,
then their expressions started to become strange.
One of them said,
"Wow, how long has it been?"
Another replied, with a face trying to recall something,
"I don't know... a million or more?"
A third looked and said,
"For you specifically, it has been three million, three hundred thirty-three thousand, three hundred thirty-three years."
Some around him were amazed and said,
"Very precise! I'm not used to being that exact."
Another said in surprise,
"Were you like that at that stage? Strange, I didn't notice."
Then they started talking about strange things that Unknown did not understand.
After a while,
Unknown focused on their faces...
and was shocked.
They all resembled him very much,
but they were older than him,
their appearances varied,
some looked like old men, others young, and so on...
Then a voice of a small child around three years old burst out:
"Ahem, ahem…"
Unknown looked at the child,
and surprisingly, he seemed like himself, but at three years old!
Unknown was shocked.
When the others saw that,
they started laughing out loud.
After a while, Unknown kept trying to understand what was going on.
Then the laughter faded until everyone fell silent.
One of them looked at Unknown knowingly and said,
"This is strange, isn't it?
Well, that was some of our reactions at first too."
Then he looked around and asked the others,
"Should I explain to him about The Convergence Point?"
The others started thinking,
then one said,
"No, his situation is different from ours."
When they heard this opinion, they all nodded in agreement.
Then the old man looked at him.
He was a bit surprised,
and transmitted his voice into everyone's minds:
"He seems a little different from us."
Someone answered,
"It's not a big deal, it seems that person decided to give himself a gift?
Although I don't think that's possible."
Another sneered,
"Why don't you think that's possible?"
He looked at him with a tone full of disgust and amusement,
"If you saw your younger self, what would you do?"
Everyone laughed without exception, a wicked laugh full of cunning.
One of them said, with a face full of a mischievous smile,
"Of course, we will do everything for his benefit, right?"
Then the same person who asked the question continued,
"So, what would happen if our future came to us?"
Silence spread in the place,
then a wave of fear and panic appeared on everyone's faces.
Someone said,
"I'd rather die than that."
Another said,
"You wouldn't even be able to do that."
Moments of silence prevailed...
Then...
Unknown's voice filled the place:
"Excuse me, I want to ask... where am I?
What is happening here?
And why did your facial expressions change so quickly?"
Unknown asked that, feeling scared for some reason.
Then one of them transmitted to the group:
"Well, since he is a bit different... let's make him special."
Then he suggested,
"Let's train him. We won't give him anything special, just the basics of the basics."
Someone frowned and said,
"I don't think that's good.
What if that changes his enlightenment?"
Serious expressions appeared on the others.
Then one smiled and said,
"No, it's simple. It won't affect his enlightenment.
We all went through this, and we know it's impossible for anything in us to change."
"That is the recognized law.
And since it seems interesting things are happening to him,
and his arrival here confirms our expectation."
When they heard that, it seemed they understood something.
One of them said hesitantly,
"So, if what I think is true,
training him on the basics won't hurt at all."
One laughed — who seemed to know a lot — and said,
"Also, don't underestimate ourselves from the past.
These things we will teach him, he would have realized by himself after two years.
Making it shorter by a bit is not harmful, right?"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Then one of them said,
"Now, who will take charge of training him?"
Silence prevailed,
then a fierce confrontation began among them — but without sound transfer this time.
In the end, they agreed on some people.
Then...
they all looked at Unknown,
whose eyes were staring at a group of madmen.
