Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: The Other Side of the Spatial Rift

After saying goodbye to everyone, Ye Liang made his way alone toward the other end of the canyon. Behind the ruins was another hidden passage, completely blocked by a palace.

He made his way deep inside.

The farther he went, the faster the air rushed around him—soon, the wind was howling past his ears!

"The energy around you is being drawn in!" came the System's voice.

Sensing the airflow, Ye Liang realized the suction force was incredibly strong—nearly equivalent to a level seven or eight gale.

He pressed on until he reached the very end.

Above a sealed-off canyon loomed an enormous pitch-black hole with no visible bottom. It wasn't embedded within the rock; it looked more like a torn section of space itself!

Ye Liang gave the area a quick scan, clenched his jaw, and plunged headfirst inside.

*BOOM!*

Before his eyes appeared a shattered crater, the scenery shifting endlessly around him.

This has to be a spatial portal!

Inside, Ye Liang found himself irresistibly pulled forward.

There was a strange gravitational pull here, seemingly trying to drag every accessible ounce of energy deep into the rift.

He took a moment to focus.

Deep within the spatial rift, he spotted another broken opening—that should be the exit!

"But how do I get there?" Ye Liang mused thoughtfully.

Although the exit seemed quite near—only a few thousand meters away—the walls of the spatial passage were littered with tiny shards of fractured space!

Any element touching those fragments would shatter into pieces.

Ye Liang was human. Though his immortal body was indestructible, going head-to-head against these deadly shards was absolutely out of the question!

"You can try using your energy to push away the fragments," suggested the System.

"Push them away? How?" As soon as he asked, he saw the System materialize right outside his body. She raised her palm, cloaked in thick chakra.

Upon contact with the fragments, they immediately shifted outward, repelled by the chakra.

"Oh, I get it now!"

Realization struck instantly.

Following the same method, Ye Liang mimicked the System's actions, pushing aside the dangerous shards until he finally reached the exit.

"You've got a sharp little brain there."

As Ye Liang praised the System, a sudden gust of wind rushed from afar. Before he could even react, his body was caught up in swirling spatial debris and shredded into bloody chunks!

"Master!"

...

A few days passed.

In the Living World.

At a cave somewhere in Hot Spring Valley.

Konan struggled to pile a collection of indistinct limb fragments behind her onto a trash heap.

"This is strange... Lately there have been so many remains appearing. There shouldn't be any humans in Yomi World." She murmured to herself, puzzled.

Wiping sweat from her brow, she stepped out of the cave.

No sooner had she left...

Those piled-up mangled limbs suddenly began twitching. Slowly inching closer together, as if attempting to fuse—yet ultimately failing.

"System! Reconstruct my body now!" A floating piece of facial remains suddenly spoke. Only a mouth remained, yet it was clearly alive!

"Okay, Master, coming right up!" a sultry voice chimed in response. Then, as if from thin air, the System appeared inside the cave!

She picked up the various broken pieces scattered among the trash pile. Soon, they formed a humanoid shape. The figure twitched again, and finally, a fully intact Ye Liang emerged.

"Huff! That scared me—I thought I was really going to die this time!" He gasped for breath, then lay behind the trash pile to rest for quite a while before finally recovering.

"System, where are we?"

"It should be a cave. Based on the scanning system, we're somewhere near the Hot Spring Kingdom."

"The Hot Spring Kingdom? Did Konan and the others come to the Hot Spring Kingdom?"

When he was still in pieces, Ye Liang had seen Konan.

He looked around the cave. Besides the massive trash pile, there was also a bottomless abyss inside.

He peered inside.

A lonely Yomi Guide was tightly sealed within.

[Phantom Dragon Nine Seals Jutsu] must have been used on this Yomi Guide. Right now, he couldn't move his body at all and could only let his power be ruthlessly drained by the sealing technique.

Ye Liang tilted his head upward.

Above the Yomi Guide, there was a pitch-black opening with a smooth round bead dangling from it—this should be the passage connecting to the Yomi World.

Ye Liang saw Death Qi continuously being drawn out of this opening by the bead. He finally understood!

"That bead should be an energy reservoir! The Akatsuki organization used the Yomi Guide to locate the position of the Yomi World, then used Obito's Kamui to create a channel between them.

Next, simply use Wind Release Ninjutsu to draw power from the Yomi World, and the Death Qi will naturally be absorbed by the bead."

"But why do they need so much Death Qi?" Ye Liang was puzzled.

Death Qi from the Yomi World may be a form of energy, but it's not something you can use casually. It has certain corrosive properties—if you don't have the appropriate cultivation techniques, ordinary people might even lose their lives because of it!

Just as he was thinking, heavy footsteps approached from the entrance.

Ye Liang ordered the System to return to the spatial dimension while he himself hid behind the trash pile.

"Konan, you've been working too hard recently, haven't you? How could there possibly be broken pieces from the Yomi World! There aren't any living people there at all."

"No, I really saw them! I personally stacked them inside this cave. You don't believe me? Then look for yourself." Those who entered were Konan and Nagato. They walked straight toward the trash pile.

"Look, where are these pieces you're talking about?" Nagato pointed at the surface of the trash pile, showing none of the broken pieces that Konan described.

Konan scratched her head: "That can't be right! I clearly saw the dismembered body here. How could it just disappear!"

"I think you've just been on watch duty for too long and became exhausted."

"Really?" Still somewhat doubtful, Konan walked around the trash pile once. Suddenly, a hand reached out from behind and covered her mouth, pulling her downward behind the trash pile.

"Wah!"

Konan let out a muffled cry.

She struggled in panic for a moment before feeling a blade pressing against her neck.

"One noise, and you're dead!" Ye Liang's cold voice came from behind.

"It's you!"

Konan finally saw Ye Liang clearly, both of her eyes widening in shock.

"What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Even daring to target the Yomi World!"

"Like hell I'd tell you!"

Ye Liang hadn't even finished speaking when he was cut off.

At this moment, Nagato, standing in front of the trash pile, furrowed his brow.

Konan had been at the trash pile for so long and still hadn't come back!

"Hey, Konan! What's wrong with you? Why aren't you answering?" He called out. Based on what Konan had said earlier, he immediately sensed something was off.

He cautiously approached the trash pile, his right hand already charging up [Shinra Tensei], ready to unleash it as soon as the enemy appeared.

Just then!

A dark shadow suddenly shot straight into the sky. He instinctively looked up—only to feel a sharp pain on his jaw!

He lost consciousness completely!

Ye Liang smirked.

After knocking Nagato out cold with a single Dragon Uppercut, he caught him under the arms.

He raised his hand and caught the falling coat.

It was Konan's coat!
