Chapter 33 - Ashes of the First Curse

"To rewrite the past, you gotta burn the present down. No way around it."

Tokyo Jujutsu High – Underground Archives

Man, this place was straight out of a nightmare museum. The torches barely fought off the shadows, making the rows of ancient scrolls and weird, broken weapons look even creepier. Gojo almost never let anyone down here—guess tonight was special.

He strolled in with Akashi Ryuunosuke trailing behind, both of them looking like they were about to rob a tomb.

"This is where we stash the stuff that's way too cursed for class time," Gojo said, sounding weirdly serious for once. "Figured you earned a peek, since you brushed up against something...old. Like, 'should be dead and buried' old."

Akashi, looking sharp in his long black jacket, kept it chill, though the glyph under his shirt practically throbbed. Not exactly comforting.

"So, what am I supposed to find here?"

Gojo yanked out an obsidian tablet, cracked and mean-looking, from a locked case. The symbol on it? Same one as Akashi's glyph, only more twisted—like a spiral someone tried to kill with a knife.

"Spiral Cult. Dead as disco. Supposedly," Gojo tossed out, voice flat. "They worshipped Ouroboros Ryūjin—basically, a dragon that eats itself. Really a cheerful bunch."

Akashi's eyes narrowed and, yeah, you could practically see him connecting dots in real time.

"That's the curse that got my mom?"

Gojo just shrugged, which, honestly, infuriating. "Records don't say, But that Spiral Monk you threw down with? He was one of their priests."

Akashi pressed. "There's more like him?"

Gojo grinned, but there wasn't a lot of humor. "Maybe-Maybe Not Or Maybe they're gone. But if not? They're waiting for something. Or someone."

Training Yard – Dawn

Nobara chucked a nail at a straw dummy, splitting it like it owed her money. Yuji cheered, Megumi did his whole brooding shikigami thing. Akashi? Off on his own, boot drawing weird symbols in the dirt. No scrolls, no crutches—dude's technique was mutating. Spiral Codex stuff. He could rewrite glyphs mid-fight now, which was just...nuts.

Gojo started training him personally. That meant they saw something big coming.

Right on the air went icy. The Cursed energy flared out by the outer gates.

Yaga's voice crackled over the intercom: "All students combat standby. We've got company."

Jujutsu High Outer Wall – 2 Minutes Later

Something ugly oozed out of the shadows—a cursed spirit made of snakes and way too many arms, talking like it owned the place.

"Spiral Heir... you opened the Vault... now the Dragon stirs..."

Akashi barely blinked before it lunged, but Nobara's nail sent it flying back, sparking with cursed energy.

"He's not alone," she said, sliding in next to Akashi, all cool confidence.

Yuji and Megumi flanked it. Showtime.

Battle Begins – Akashi Unleashed

The thing lashed out, smoke and freaky glyphs everywhere. Yuji dodged easy, swinging a punch that cracked the air. Nobara and Megumi worked in sync, pinning it down. That was all Akashi needed.

"Dragon Tongue: Manifest—Rift Claw."

His arm twisted, scaled up, claws flickering. One hit—bam—straight through the cursed glyph over the spirit's heart.

"Take it!" he yelled.

"Resonance: Detonate!" Nobara called back.

Nail, at the core then kaboom, The Spirit went up in cursed ash then Dead quiet after that.

Later – Training Grounds

Sunset. Akashi meditated, The glyphs are swirling around him like lazy fireflies. Gojo wandered over, tossed him something cold to drink.

"You're picking this up quick, boy" Gojo said, smirking.

Akashi cracked one eye. "Not enough. If that cult's still out there...they'll keep coming."

Gojo grinned, wolfish. "Good. We'll keep punching back then."

From the gloom, There is someone watched them, A Figure wrapped in bandages, glyphs glowing on her skin, whispering to nobody:

"The Heir's awake. Still blind to the First Curse, though..."
