Long ago there existed a little village. It wasn't much. Some farmers lived there, together with some knights and a blacksmith. Other jobs too, of course. In that village lived a man many simply called "Sir Mythrize".
One day the village was attacked by a giant pack of direwolfs, who quickly ran over the entire village. The very man, Sir Mythrize, was fighting at the front lines with the knights. Eventually, most of the wolves were killed, and the rest retreated, but the man had suffered severe wounds and was close to death. He sat down at the side of a wall, looking at the parts of the village that were destroyed.
Sir Mythrize: (So this is it... My life ends here... I'm sorry my beloved, I won't be there to care for our child...)
But then he heard footsteps. Looking at where they came from he saw a person wearing a white mask with red markings. She was wearing black and white, and her black hair was done into a ponytail.

Sir Mythrize: "W-who... are you?"
She kept silent and went to him before she crouched down. Then she took out a potion and made him drink it. His wounds seemed to magically disappear afterward.
Masked Hero: "Just a hero."
Sir Mythrize: "I-I'm fine again! I thought I'd- I'm not gonna die! Oh mysterious hero, how can I repay you?! Just name a price! I will do my best to fulfill it!"
The hero took out a big sack from her back, putting it beside him.
Masked Hero: "Just take care of these."
She stood up and started to walk away.
Sir Mythrize: "Huh?"
He opened the sack to see... books? When he looked inside them he saw that they weren't written in something he could understand. The writing was incomprehensible to him. Nevertheless, he swung the sack over his shoulder and put one fist on his chest.
Sir Mythrize: "Very well! I will take care of these with my life until you return!"
The hero briefly looked back and nodded before dashing away.
Masked Hero: (Yes, please do. They need to stand the test of time, after all. Use them well Y/N. They'll guide you onto the right path. Rimuru is gonna have a much better time with you around. Now what's next...)
She stopped on a mountain and looked around. A storm was forming in the distance.
Masked Hero: (Ah right, Veldora. Sorry buddy but you're gonna have to be put into time out.)
...Present day...
(Hello again. Author here. I've made a really stupid mistake I haven't realized till now. I've literally called the Kingdom of Blumund the Kingdom of Bulmund this entire time. I don't know how I didn't realize that. I'll change it, like my last mistake, after I finish the story. I'll actually spell it right from now on. XD)
Two days had passed and you got back to Londo. You were still trying to think of the best way to approach your parents with all of this, but your mind just wouldn't come up with something good. But let's get to the more interesting discoveries you've made in that time.
For one, Tenrou is SO CUTE as a cup, which she didn't stop exploiting to the best of her abilities. But she had some other cool stuff too. Her appearance apparently wasn't simply a white coat with black accents, it switched at night. Most of her fur would become a shining black as her paws and tips of her ears and tail turned a beautiful white. Her eyes, which normally had a burning yellow color, turned more silver-like. The symbol on her forehead also changed to white with the addition that it turned into a crescent moon instead of a sun.
That's cool and all, but what were you up to currently? You were standing in front of the front door of your house for the first time in two weeks. Tenrou had somehow turned into white particles, disappearing in your clothes. You knocked, and after that, you heard someone approaching. Eventually, the door opened.
Alice: "Y/N?"
Y/N: "Hey, mom! I'm back!"
She squeezed and quickly pulled you into a hug.
Alice: "Oh, I was so worried! Welcome back!
Y/N: Smiles and hugs back. "It's good to be back."
She let go of you.
Alice: "Now you're probably starving! Come in, I'll make us something tasty."
You didn't waste any time following your mother into the house, making sure to close the door.
...A little later...
You and your mother were eating some of the 6 Star, 11/10 meals your mother usually makes.
Y/N: Swallows a bite. "Where is dad?"
Alice: "Your father is currently out working. He'll probably come back late again... But never mind that. How was your trip, sweetie? Did everything go well?"
Y/N: "Yup! Everything went great! The group I was with was also very nice."
Alice: "That's good to hear." (You're safe, Guildmaster. For now.)
You both ate another few bites. Your mother seemed to think about something, but you didn't know about what. After a few minutes of silence, she spoke again.
Alice: "Say, Y/N... does the name... L/N ring any bells?"
...
You dropped your fork and knife and coughed because you didn't expect your old family name to be brought up. It was supposed to have died with you in your old world.
Y/N: "W-wh- I... what?" (How does she know that name?)
Alice: "D- does it? Or not...?"
She looked away, seeming... sad. Your head was racing at a million thoughts a second to make sense of all this. It was already bad enough that you had to somehow tell her you became a hero egg, and now this?
Y/N: "... How do you know that name?"
She turned back to you, her eyes widened and a bit teary. She stood up from the table, which confused you even more than all of this already did. In response, you also stood up slowly.
Alice: "So you do... Y-Y/N, is that you?"
Y/N: Sweating. "T-That's my name, yeah. But you should know that mom, you aren't making sense. How do you know that name?" (There is something I'm not getting here! Please answer the question!)
Alice: "N-No, I mean... Y/N a-as in Y/N L/N... are you...? Please tell me you are..."
Your eyes widened a little more. You knew a mother's instincts are unparalleled, but this just breaks all the charts. How did she know of your past self? Was she reincarnated too? If yes, who was it?
Y/N: "...Yes...?"
She chuckled a little through the sniffs, tears now fully running down her face.
Alice: "W-who would've thought... t-twice, hehe." Sniff. "It's me! Your mom!"
Y/N: "Of course, I know tha- Wait...!"
Your mind was slowly piecing together everything.
Y/N: "Y-You're... M-mom as in..."
Alice: Nods. "Mhm!"
Y/N: "M-M/N?"
Now your eyes began to tear up too. You quickly rushed to her for a hug, which she gave you without a second thought. In your embrace, the world seemed to stand still, and you both remained silent for a bit, but it was inevitable that it needed to be broken after a while.
Y/N: "B-But how? How are you here? I thought... I'd never..."
Alice: Kisses your forehead. "It was... probably as you'd expect..."
...Earth, two years before your death...
Your parents were currently driving in their car, your father was driving. It was nighttime, and since they weren't driving in a city, there weren't many light sources around other than the ones of the car. The radio was also the only sound filling the car, currently playing music.
M/N: Humming along with the radio. (I wonder what Y/N is doing right now? I hope he went to bed early and didn't wait for us. Meetings like these can be such a hassle...)
F/N: Sighs. "The tank is getting empty, we're gonna have to put in a stop at a gas station."
Your mom also took a glance at the dashboard to see the display for the tank saying the same.
M/N: "Yeah, we probably sho-"
Right at that moment a wild boar ran onto the road, directly in front of the car. As your father tried to break, the front right side of the car was hit. Due to boars being massive creatures, the car was starting to spin in circles, eventually going off the road. That side of the road wasn't a field or something, or a simple trench, but a way down. The path they took was in a forest, and the road was higher up on a hill, and the car was rolling off of that exact hill now. With every rotation the roof of the car began to cave in more and more, the headrests aiding as a form of protection. Airbags had already deployed, but they weren't doing much with them rolling sideways. In the end, they hit a tree, the car abruptly coming to an end, tires up.
M/N was still conscious, doing her best to loosen her seatbelt and crawl out of the car. She managed to escape, catching her breath right after.
M/N: "No... nononono!"
Despite everything she saw her husband still in the car. He was on the side where the car impacted the tree, so she feared the worst. As she rushed back in through the broken door she noticed he was still alive, but unconscious and held upside down because of the seatbelt. Acting quickly she tried to unbuckle it.
M/N: (DAMN IT! ITS STUCK!) "Please! F/N, wake up!"
The tears were rolling as she basically tried to rip the seatbelt out of the socket.
M/N: (Being in the car is dangerous! I-I need to get him out of here.) "I can't... I can't take care of Y/N alone! Please!"
As soon as she said your name a fire ignited inside of her and she managed to open the seatbelt. F/N, still unconscious, got caught by her so his neck wouldn't hit the floor.
M/N: "Yes! Now all we have to do is call for help! Then we'll get to Y/N and tell him how much we love him!" Sniff. (Y/N, don't worry. Your parents will be there for you-)
...What she didn't know was that some cables of the battery had come loose, and the engine was leaking fuel. It was only a matter of time before the ever-growing puddle would reach the sparking cables, and as soon as it did...
BOOOOOOOM!
Confirmed. Acquisition of unique skill [A Mother's Love] successful.
...Central World, present day...
Alice: "...And then I was reborn as 'Alice'."
Y/N: "And dad didn't reincarnate...?"
Alice: "I wouldn't know, sweetheart."
You hugged her tighter.
Y/N: "What happened after?"
Alice: "My life was as normal as you'd expect from a world like this. I went on to be a normal girl, going through my childhood and teenage years again. For an old woman like me, it was pretty exciting! Hehe! And then I met Luke. ... To be honest with you I didn't like him at first, but the more he tried to win over my heart the more he grew on me. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I should move on from F/N. The chance I would even find him in this vast world was very slim anyway, if he was reincarnated in the first place. I... hope you understand that."
Y/N: "I do. I understand. Finding dad here is very unrealistic... He probably would've found someone else already, too. He would want you to be happy. And my other dad is pretty cool too."
Alice: "Right? I thought so too. Both are awesome."
Y/N: "But why did you name me Y/N? And I don't mean the old me, I mean this version of me."
Alice: "I can really only guess. It's probably... because I missed you. And I could never really move on from you, so I... wanted someone to remember you by."
Y/N: "A spiritual successor?"
Alice: "In a way, yes. But for you to be here, you must've... died too. ...How? And when?"
Y/N: "...About two years after your deaths my life was kind of going downhill. And I honestly can't say what would've become of me, but when I was 19 I worked pretty late and... forgot to watch the road."
Alice: Gasps. "19?! So young... I-I thought it must've been at least a bit longer since I spent 23 years here before your birth, but... God..."
Y/N: "Yeah, time is different here, I guess. But honestly? My death may be the best thing that's ever happened to me! Maybe not the fact it happened or what I felt during it, but what became of it. I have all these cool skills now, and I'm with you, so... I count it as an improvement."
Alice: Smiles. "Well... you being happy makes me happy too."
You smiled back and opened up multiple windows for her to see. Like you did with Ramiris.
Y/N: "I'm stronger than I look. And if I grow at the same rate I am right now I'll count as one of the strongest in no time! And these skills aren't the only things I've got."
You raised your hands as you activated all of your Lesser Spiritual Magic. Seven orbs of different elements started to swirl around your hands, showing off to your mother. Alice smiled even brighter.
Y/N: "And I should probably mention that I'm now officially on the road to becoming a true hero! Not just the title, but the whole evolution!"
Alice: "W-Wait, what? So all of what you said was..."
Y/N: "I meant every bit of it. If I truly want to stop worrying about things I have to become strong enough to ignore them, after all."
Alice: "...But wouldn't that also mean you'd have to worry about bigger and more complicated things?"
Y/N: "...I never really thought of that... But still! I'll find a use for this power. But why are we having this conversation so out of the blue?"
Alice: "Hm?"
Y/N: "You asked me about my real identity out of nowhere. Why?"
Alice: "I had a suspicion for a few years now, but I've just... ignored it for the longest time. But you were looking more and more like your old self, and now that you were gone for two weeks, I just couldn't help but ask."
Y/N: "I see. Well... I'm glad you asked." (I think the voice of death said something about my body being created similar to my old one. Maybe it's because of that?)
Alice: "Mhm! Me too. But now let's actually finish eating."
You nodded and you two sat down at the table again, resuming the consuming.
...A few days later...
You were currently training with your dad again. Having finished your sparring session, he seemed a lot more out of breath than you. But you still had a question he might have answers to.
Y/N: "Hey, dad?"
Luke: "Yes, champ?"
Y/N: "Do you know anything about the weird books in the library?"
Luke: "The ones with the incomprehensible writing?"
Y/N: "Yeah."
Luke: "All I really know is that they've been passed down from generation to generation in my family from way before my time. It's actually a miracle they've held up this good. And I think my grandfather told me something about a hero giving them to us once, but I don't know if that's true."
Y/N: "I see... thanks, dad."
Luke: (He actually got something useful out of that?) "No problem, son."
Y/N: (I guess that's a lead? I should probably check some records of heroes.)
Tenrou:
Y/N:
Tenrou:
Y/N:
Tenrou:
You went and walked back into the house together with your father.
...That night...
Tenrou couldn't just become a small pup, but also get bigger. Big enough for you to ride on her back! And with her amazing speed, she quickly got you both to a fairly deserted grassland. Some trees were around in the distance, but the field with nothing but grass and a few flowers would prove useful for testing your magic. As you jumped off her back, looking around, and Tenrou shrunk back to her normal size, you began to think about what you wanted to try first.
Y/N: "Thanks for bringing me here, Tenry."
Tenrou:
Y/N: (Now what will I try first? Maybe some medium for starters?)
You put out a hand.
Y/N: "Medium Spiritual Magic - Fire Bolt!"
Flames appeared in front of your hand and shot into the distance, hitting a tree with immense force leaving a scorched crater in it. You grinned at that.
Tenrou:
Y/N: "Thanks! That's pretty powerful, I didn't even put that many magicules in that." (Now what to do next... maybe another medium one? Nah! Let's go big with this one!) Puts both hands in the air. "Greater Spiritual Magic - Blizzard!"
Immediately a storm of ice formed around you, freezing the grass and causing Tenrou to step back. But you felt like you could do more. You put one of your hands in front of you and an icicle formed, which you also shot into the same tree. It went straight through the stump, and some more stumps after that.
Y/N: "Wow! This is incredible!"
But your excitement was short-lived as the ice storm suddenly dispersed, only leaving the aftermath.
Y/N: Puts his hands down. "What? Out of power so soon? Why?"
You took a look at your status.
MAG: 68/16050
Y/N: (I ran out of magic that fast? Now that I think about it, that makes sense. Real magic must use much more than my buffs, especially the greater type.)
Tenrou:
She went back to your side and you petted her head.
Y/N: "Thanks, Tenrou. But you don't have to praise me all the time."
Tenrou: Looks away.
Y/N: "Well, since I'm out of magicules, maybe we could see what you're capable of?"
She looked back at you and nodded. You took a few steps back.
Y/N: (I can't wait to figure out what the skills are that she gained. They seem very promising. Oh, I wish I could observe what they do! That'd be so cool!)
As you were wishing you got a system notification.
[System Notification]
[The System] wants to combine and evolve Intrinsic Skill [Eye Of Truth] and Extra Skill [Magic Sense] into a System Skill.
Do you accept?
WARNING: Denying the acquisition of this skill will result in the inability to gain it in the future.
[Accept] [Deny]
Y/N: "W-what?"
Tenrou:
Y/N: "N-No, my skill is just doing something unexpected." (This is the first time the system wanted to create a new skill! And it's two of my best skills gone with it... The other two system skills are also overpowered, so how could I deny this? I accept.)
[System Notification]
Creation of System Skill [Stat-Driven Senses] successful.
The effect was clear at first glance. Just like when you got Magic Sense your horizon seemed to expand incredibly. All of your senses felt like they were supercharged.
Y/N: (Holy shit! Alright, let's look at its definition.)
Stat-Driven Senses
-> Sight - The user is granted perfect vision and is able to see in 360 degrees. The visual spectrum can be changed to see things like infrared, ultraviolet, etc., and perceive phenomena beyond the usual ability of sight. Information and the Status of people and certain objects can now be seen.
-> Touch - The user can touch objects they physically wouldn't be able to. If the user wishes it their sensitivity is increased. User can now feel things like aura, killing intent, or a slight difference in the air.
-> Hearing - The user can listen to and understand sound beyond normal comprehension and listen to telepathic connections. If they wish their hearing ability is increased.
-> Smell - If the user wishes they can smell specific people, objects, etc. from miles away. Different compounds, chemicals, etc. can be identified.
-> Taste - Flavor increased. User can taste the difference in compounds, chemicals, etc., and speak to everything, without the hindrance of a language or understanding barrier. They can also speak to telepathic connections.
-> Magic - The user can sense things like magicules or aura down to the molecular level.
Y/N: (I'm literally becoming more op by the second.)
There was one heavy difference to Magic Sense. While the quantity of information this skill gives is leagues more, it didn't feel taxing or incomprehensible in any way. It was as if something was regulating, formatting, and organizing the information before it even got to you. And you wanted to try the sight ability right away, checking Tenrou's status.
Name: Tenrou (granted by Y/N Mythrize)
Species: Celestial Fenrir

Y/N: "Wow. Your skills are amazing, Tenrou!"
Tenrou, who had been sitting idly, tilted her head like she usually does when she doesn't understand something. Out of her perspective, you've been silently staring at the air for a hot minute before suddenly looking at her and saying that.
Tenrou:
Y/N: "You're welcome! Now let's see that stellar hunter in action! How about we try some of those constructs?"
Tenrou nodded and began to concentrate. Moonlight seemingly gathered in one place before a simple silver translucent ball appeared in the air.
Tenrou:
Y/N: "I'm sure it's just a matter of practice. Is it still difficult to maintain?"
Tenrou:
The silver ball flew around her as she seemingly played with her new ability.
Tenrou:
Y/N: Smiles. "That's good. Then we have something to work with."
You spent a good time of the night training with Tenrou, before eventually returning home before your parents noticed you were gone.
...Around 5 years later, your birthday...
It was your birthday today. And as Fuze promised he got you into an adventurer examination and took care of all the signing up. There were multiple types of examinations, each corresponding with a type of adventurer.
The first one was Collection, which specialized in the finding and collecting of specific items. This test required you to go and retrieve a specific item from a nearby location.
The second one was exploration, specializing in exploring undiscovered locations like ruins. This test required a specific facility in Englassia that could mimic those ruins, so that was out of the question anyway.
And last but not least we have subjugation, specializing in monster slaying. This test required someone who could summon specific monsters at different levels of difficulty as a proctor.
What were you gonna do? Subjugation, of course! To level up you needed to slay, and that's what you aim to achieve with this. The 23 levels you gained in the last 5 years wouldn't suffice. The Guildmaster Fuze had asked you this a few weeks before today, so there already was a summoner present. The best thing about this is that you could choose to go directly to the next test after finishing one. And normally you'd have to accumulate points to take an examination, but thanks to Fuze you were an exception.
Right now you got led into an empty room with stone walls and a stone floor. Some hallways led to it, it was pretty open. Some people were around too since it wasn't any day a test like this was being held, Fuze and Kaval's party were some of them. You quickly used Temporary Replication to look for a cool skill, but only got Analytical Appraisal. This was one of the rooms in the building next to the main Free Guild building. And to top it off there was a big magic circle in the middle in which you and the summoner were standing.
"Are you sure about this, Fuze? It's a kid, after all."
Fuze: "Trust me, Thegis. This kid is something else."
Thegis was a middle-aged man with dark hair, and rough facial features, wearing a peg leg. He also uses a cane. You were unsure about this guy's power, but you guessed that what this guy didn't have in physical strength he'd make up in magical strength.
(WEBNOVEL NOTE: This guy was only in the manga.
Source: https://tensura.fandom.com/wiki/Thegis?file=Thegis.jpg)
Thegis: Sighs. "If you say so. Let's initiate the E-Rank test, then." Taps his cane on the ground.
Tok, tok.
Suddenly another, smaller magic circle appeared in front of him. You got ready to fight, ready for whatever he's gonna throw at you.
Y/N: (I'm certain I can handle an E-Rank monster no problem. I do have Kaval's sword with me since he gave it to me before this, but I'm not gonna use that. I want to try out at least some spells.)
Thegis: "Come forth... HOUND DOG!"
Immediately a... big dog jumped out of the circle and attacked you. You quickly sidestepped, avoiding its bite. As soon as it realized it missed it went for another attack.
Y/N: (Normal people would have a problem with this, but for me...)
Medium Spiritual Magic - Wind Blade
Instead of dodging again your hand was suddenly encased in wind magic, and as soon as you swung it a leg of the Hound Dog fell off due to a razor-sharp blade of wind cutting it off.
Y/N: (... it's child's play. Heh. Get it? Cause I'm a child?)
The Hound Dog let out an angry growl. And as if it didn't know any better it attacked again.
Y/N: (This monster is pretty repetitive, huh? Does it even have a mind?)
Another side step, another wind blade. Its head fell to the ground. Kaval, Ellen, and Gido all cheered loudly as you won the E-Rank test. Thegis looked like he'd seen a ghost and you give him a smug look.
[+122 XP]
Y/N: >:3
Thegis: "Why you- Alright then! Next stage, then. Come forth, DARK GOBLIN!"
This was the first time you saw a goblin. This one was wearing armor and had a shield and sword.
(Source: https://tensura.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_goblin?file=Chapter_44_-_Dark_Goblin.png
Replace Rimuru with yourself.)
The dark goblin continued to grin menacingly as it took its sword off of its back.
Y/N: (This'll definitely prove more of a challenge. I believe it's necessary to become a D Rank to be able to register as an adventurer.)
Your mind went through the magic and skills you had. Then the goblin charges at you as well, shield up and sword ready to strike. However...
Extra Skill [Magic Darkness Transform]
... the sword simply went through you as you were covered by a dark and red aura. It turned back confused and you met its gaze with a grin of your own.
Y/N: "I'll beat you at your own niche. Heh."
It didn't sit idle but attacked right away again. It slashed at you multiple times, but it just couldn't hit you. You send a punch at it and it blocked with the shield. Doing that, however, send it back a few meters.
Medium Spiritual Magic - Shadow Bind
Its shadow seemed to betray it as darkness took hold of the dark goblin, rendering it immobile. The people around were staring at this, mouths wide open. Kaval and Co were also shocked at your display of magic.
Ellen: "Three... I've counted three different types of magic! Just what did that tree do to this kid?!"
You took a few steps closer to the goblin as it desperately tried to escape its restraints. You brought your hand up and swung horizontally at where its neck was, activating wind blade again. Its head flew right off.
[+450 XP]
[Level Up]
You deactivated your darkness transform. After doing that many spells you were scared of your magicule supply, so you checked.
MAG: 13100/16200
Y/N: (It seems I've got some to spare. The jump in magicule consumption from medium to greater is apparently quite high. Good.)
Thegis: Panting a little. "Alright kid, you're something, alright. I'm gonna give you a choice here. As absurd as it is, if you think you're good enough I'll let you take on the B-Rank test."
Y/N: (He seems quite out of energy. But becoming B Rank would solidify my position even more. And... frankly I don't mind skipping an annoying fight.) "Sure. I think I can do it."
Thegis: Chuckles. "Why did I know you'd say that? Okay then. If you want to stop, you can say so at any moment. Come forth... LESSER DEMON!"
(Source: https://tensura.fandom.com/wiki/Lesser_daemon?file=Lesser+Demon+Manga.png
Again, replace Rimuru with yourself.)
Your eyes went wide at the creature before you. You got a little scared about if you'd be powerful enough to kill it. Maybe if you'd use one of your greater spells, but then you'd be out of magicules, and if it didn't get killed by it you'd be in trouble. So the situation was becoming clear.
Y/N: (Demons are spiritual creatures by nature, meaning they don't have a physical body. This also means physical attacks are useless and magical attacks do less damage. Truly terrifying. But not for me! Temporary Replication!)
(X) Magic Resistance
(X) Material Creation
( ) Possess
You quickly copied two of its useful skills.
Temporary Skill Slots:
-> Physical Attack Resistance (34/100)
-> Analytical Appraisal (100/100)
-> Self Regeneration (86/100)
-> Magic Resistance (100/100)
-> Material Creation (100/100)
Y/N: (Alright, I like those reserves.) "Hey. Pretty neat summon you got there. Mind if I throw in my own?"
Thegis: Raises an eyebrow. "Hm?"
You raised one of your hands in the air.
Y/N: "Summon Greater Elemental - Zephiris!"
A magic circle similar to the ones Thegis used appeared above your hand. As soon as it finished constructing a spirit flew out, accompanied by a strong gust of wind. She had white hair and a beautiful white outfit. The aura around her was also immense, her body glowing a light green hue.

Everyone was shocked EVEN MORE as a greater wind elemental was summoned right to your side without much issue. Zephiris looked around, frowned at the demon who while shivering took a step back from her, and then flew down to your side.
Thegis: "You've gotta be kidding me..."
Y/N: (JEEZ! I CAN ALREADY FEEL MY MAGICULES FLYING DOWN THE DRAIN! I need to finish this fast.) "Alright, Zephiris! Crease his J's!"
Everyone: "..."
Zephiris: "...?"
Y/N: Sighs and facepalms. "Obliterate the demon for me, please."
With a stern expression, Zephiris turned to the demon again and pointed a hand at it.
Greater Spiritual Magic - Aerial Blade
The place where the lesser demon stood was then covered by a violent storm, absolutely obliterating it as you asked of her.

You let out a laugh at the sight, despite your magicules begging for mercy. As the rest of the demon vanished she turned to you as if she was asking if you had another request.
Y/N: "Absolutely mesmerizing. Thank you." (I can't keep this up much longer.)
She gave you a nod.
Y/N: "Cancel summon."
Closing her eyes, Zephiris disappeared, her body turning into fog dispersing in the wind. You, of course, checked your magicules. Since Temporary Skills disappeared when your magicules reached zero, you wanted to avoid that.
MAG: 8/16200
Y/N: Sweatdrops. (That's way too close for comfort... Wait, did Thread of Fate have a say in this?)
Now that you looked around you noticed everyone looking at you wide-eyed. Thegis dropped to his knees, seemingly exhausted due to summoning so much. You walked up to him and reached out a hand.
Y/N: "You're a very strong summoner. I wouldn't have been able to beat that demon if it wasn't for Zephiris."
He chuckled as he took your hand and you got him to stand back up.
Thegis: "To think that a kid could summon a greater elemental... Where do you get that power from?"
Y/N: "That's a secret!"
Thegis: "Of course it is... Well then, kid. Congratulations. You've successfully become a B Rank adventurer. I'm sure the Guildmaster will show you where you can get your card."
Y/N: Nods. "Thank you!"
Thegis began to walk away through one of the exits, having a little difficult time because of his peg leg. You smiled after him, satisfied with this outcome. Fuze and Kaval's party quickly walked up to you. The first thing that happened was Ellen hugging you.
Ellen: "Oh, I'm so proud of you! You've successfully done it!"
Kaval: "I'm very impressed, kid! You're something else. I guess you were right when you said you were special."
Gido simply nodded along. Fuze put a hand on your shoulder.
Fuze: "Follow me. I'll get you your license."
After nodding you and the party followed him out of the room and out of the building, going back to the main one.
...
As soon as you got there he send out one of the secretaries to make your card. It didn't take long until she returned with it. Fuze took it and held it out for you.
Fuze: "Here, kid. You earned it."
You took it while beaming a smile. Kaval ruffled your hair.
[System Notification]
Congratulations.
Title "B-Rank Adventurer" created.
Acquisition of Unique Skill [Adventurer] successful.
You were taken aback by the sudden new skill and title.
Y/N: (New title?)
Title - B-Rank Adventurer
-> -10% stamina consumption
-> +100 to VIT
-> +50 to STR
-> +50 to INT
-> Allies in the same team will be granted the same title buffs
Y/N: (Cool. And shouldn't unique skills be, like, super rare? Why do I seem to get them out of nowhere? Ugh, I'll figure that out later too. Probably something with the system. Anyway... YAAAAY! FINALLY!)
Kaval: "Now you can actually come with us on quests!"
Gido: "Yeah. With your strength even the hardest ones are gonna become a walk in the park."
Y/N: "Thanks, guys. I can't wait!" (To get some real fucking XP, that is!)
Fuze left and you and the party made your way to your home. Your parents weren't there to see the fight because they were preparing something, apparently.
...At home...
You gently opened the door.
Your parents: "Surprise!"
Your eyes widened again. They made the whole place very pretty and there was tasty food, including cake and cookies, on the table. You instantly knew your mother made them based on the smell.
Y/N: "Aww! Thank you, mom, dad! You didn't have to!"
Luke: "Oh, you can't be serious, son! Especially today after your adventurer examination!"
Y/N: "Oh yeah, speaking of examination..." Holds up his adventurer license. "I GOT IN!"
Your mother squealed and rushed to hug you. A hug which you returned, of course. Kaval and the others were also smiling brightly.
Luke: "Amazing! Let me see!"
Still hugging your mom you handed the license to him. He looked at it and...
Luke: "WHAAAAAAT?! RANK B ALREADY?! FROM THE START?!"
Y/N: "Ehe..."
Alice stopped hugging you and also took a look at it.
Alice: "Oh my gosh! Sweetie, I'm so proud of you!"
Y/N: Chuckles. "Thank you."
"Yes. Truly impressive. But you haven't forgotten about me, have you?!"
Everyone looked around, the voice coming out of nowhere. No one seemed to recognize it either, but your mind finally remembered who the voice belonged to. This brought a smile to your face.
Y/N: "Ramiris!"
In the middle of the room, space seemed to distort a little as light collected itself to one point. And as that was done a familiar yellow glowing fairy was floating in the same position.
Ramiris: "It's nice to see you again, Y/N. Impressive work back there! But still!"
She flew right in front of your face.
Ramiris: "YOU COUL'VE AT LEAST VISITED ONCE OR TWICE!"
Y/N: "S-sorry!"
Ramiris: "You better be! Anyway, what are you waiting for? Introduce me already!"
She landed on your head, fists to her hips while smiling.
Y/N: "Uh... Guys, this is Demon Lord Ramiris."
Everyone: "DEMON LORD?!"
Ramiris: "Ha ha ha! That's right! I am one of the ten great demon lords! Fear me!"
Y/N: "... No one is gonna fear you when you're standing on a kid's head, Ramiris."
Ramiris: "Puh!" Looks away.
You let out a sigh.
Kaval: "Is she really a demon lord? She doesn't seem like much, to be honest."
Ramiris instantly flew in front of his face.
Ramiris: "Oh yeah?! Say that to my face! I'll show you just how much I can be!!!"
Kaval took a step back as Ramiris went on about how she's the greatest and could beat him with one punch if she wanted to. Everyone else looked at the scene kind of confused. You walked up to your mother.
Y/N: Whispers. "Trust me, she can be a handful, but she's easily persuaded."
Your mom seemed to take the hint as she nodded. She walked up to the table and took out a cookie from the cookie bowl sitting on it.
Alice: "Lady Ramiris?"
Ramiris: "Hm?"
She stopped her rant as she looked at Alice.
Alice: "Would you like to try one of our cookies? We have several other snacks too, if you'd like."
Ramiris raised an eyebrow as she flew to the cookie and took it out of Alice's hand. Then she took a small bite, munching on it for a little while so she could determine if it tasted good or not.
Ramiris: Eyes shine. "OOOH! THIS TASTES AMAZING!" Nom, nom, nom~
She quickly took more bites.
Y/N: "Uh, anyway, Ramiris? Why are you here exactly?"
She looked at you, still chewing on a bite.
Ramiris: Gulp. "Oh, yeah."
She waved her hand as a purple portal formed to her side through spatial magic. A sword in a black sheath, with a black handle and golden accents, fell out. It didn't fall to the ground, though, it simply stood upright. Ramiris flew to the handle and stood on top of it.
Y/N: "A... sword?"
Ramiris: Smiles. "This is my present! After all, I can't leave my favorite hero with nothing, right? Especially since you're going on adventures now."
Everyone: "HERO?!"
Y/N: "I... don't know what to say. Thank you!"
The shock of almost everyone present was ignored as you took the sword by its sheath. Ramiris flew up from the handle as you gripped that too. Then you unsheathed it a little. The blade was sharp and it shined in rainbow colors when light hit.
Y/N: "Wow..."
Ramiris: Nom, nom~ "I had some leftover magisteel. Thought it'd make a cool weapon. Turns out, I was right! As always! Ha ha ha!"
You chuckled a little as you sheathed the sword again. Then you took a look at its description.

Ramiris: "I sure hope so! Anyway, that's all I came here for. I'll take my leave."
But then she eyed the cookies.
Ramiris: "And I take the liberty to take these with me..."
She snapped her fingers and the cookie bowl disappeared.
Ramiris: "Bye-bye now!" Disappears in a fit of golden light.
...
Ellen: "So, uh... that just happened?"
You continued to look at the sword.
Y/N: (I really need to decide what stats to level... STR and AGI are good and all, but with all the magic I really want to level MAG and INT. Should I focus on those instead? But then there is also VIT. The only thing I don't need is AUR.)
The room was filled with a nice atmosphere. You smiled.
Y/N: (I think I'll focus on magic for now. I'll still have time to decide and change that, after all.)
