Huh?
Edward stood there stupified by the situation
He simply wanted to find out how the hell the kid in front of him got in here but that wasnt the weird thing.
He thinks magic doesnt exist for some reason
Of course many people that dont believe in magic but still know of its existence but for him to look like it was most ridiculous thing in the world was a little weird.
And he even knew me
It was obvious that he recognized him after he heard his name which meant that he either was brainwashed or had a memory loss.
It might also be that he just never acknowledged magic as a concept since he never saw it
He just stared at the passed out boy and untied all the ropes before going out and locking the door.
I will ask him once he gets over the shock
***
How long has it been since i passed out?
I was tired and got into some forest where the only thing i saw were human remains and an old hut.
Wait, didnt i think about it before already?
But how is that even possible? If what that guy meant what he said then that would mean im in the novel Boundless Knight that i was just reading.
No way
That would explain a little since he sort of matches his description. Old guy with pretty long hair, dark hazel eyes, tall body that looks like it was from his 30's and most importantly.
Burn marks on the side of his face
But theres the more important issue.
How did i even get here or for what purpose, the novel had a typical ending and theres nothing bad that actually killed main characters until the end.
Who was the person, who transported me here.
Well i guess time to figure these things wont be soon
I knew that the situation i was in wasnt the best, and thats because im currently in Chancellors private forest that is blocked by the most high ranking camouflaging spells, of course im suspicious.
Il ask him some stuff and just get out then.
After a minute or so i got up and noticed that the strange ropes were untied and taken away.
I wonder if he will trust me even a little if i suddenly start giving him random questions.
First thing i did after getting up was to check if i had any items from from home just in case, but there was nothing.
Ah! of course i dont, he probably searched me to get an idea of who i was
Well thats understandable and i dont judge him for this.
Quickly after checking my clothes i got up and opened the door.
If i thought it would be a normal hut in the woods quickly proved my thoughts wrong, after opening the door i saw for a split second that behind the door was a completely dark void with slight streaks of blue liquid and flying wooden rooms being held by it.
aah...
That lasted for about a split second but i felt like i stared for hours, it was just so.
Inhuman
The blue liquid flowed around like blood and all of it looked, like some living thing.
I fell on the floor but didnt passed out sadly which didnt give me much time to think about that thing.
So this really is magic
Im really in the novel, i didnt even have to think about it seriously. That was probably spatial magic or something, im no mage so i wont find out.
Chancellor sat a few meters away from me sipping tea and looking at me in amusement like something akin to an infant, and i felt from him that he can do anything he wants with me but just chooses not to.
- What are you doing sitting there on a cold floor, come sit with me. I preppared some tea but i dont know if you want it.
His crisp voice traveled to my ears and snapped me from my thoughts.
- I-It would be an honour to drink tea with you Chancellor sir.
No words could describe how nervous i was in front of this monster.
Edward Granthur was in the top ten strongest people in the world and number two in The Great Rudia. His immense talent in wielding all kinds of weapons and magic made him the strongest person in the world but there was an accident when he tried to create a new spell which resulted in him getting severely injured and drop to top hundreth strongest people.
He was staying in this highly secured forest to recuperate his power and help our kingdom which never happened and never will.
I walked up and sat on the wooden stool across him and drank my tea.
After eyeing me for a few moments he got straight to the point.
- Well then Julius, how did you get here by yourself without anyones help?
He asked me in curious yet almost threatening tone as if a single lie would result in my demise.
- I dont know how i got here.
Why should i lie? All of it is unbelievable which will be pretty fun, but he seemed like he believed it without any hesitation.
- Alright, then where do you come from?
- sir do you really believe i dont-
- Yes.
I couldnt even question him, he was the strongest so he will be right no matter what. Thats the right of the strong people.
- I come from..
- hm?
Why am i hesitating to answer?
- Where?
The Chancellor asked yet again which made me realize it and mumble my thoughts out loud.
- where do i come from?
- You dont even know?
I simply nodded with gloomy expression.
He stared at me for a little as if in deep thought, and then extended his hand to my chest which got enveloped in a blue glow.
- I see.
Looking like having some grand realization he looked me straight into eyes and started telling me my condition.
- Your body seems like it has never been exposed to mana which even newborns do since it is practically everywhere. You posses quite a talent in physical category and.
He furrowed and glanced at me like one would when seeing weird creatures before letting out his last discovery.
- You have an overwhelming affinity to blood magic which is considered to be heretics magic.
It was almost like saying 'are you a heretic'?
In the novel they were quite a problem and they used blood magic to heal their wounds like missing arms, legs or sometimes even organs which required alot of blood.
- Hey kid.
Thinking that he would kill me instantly i didnt even try to hide how horrified i was and simply looked down.
Im dead, he will kill me and i wont even have time to do anything.
Or atleast i thought so until he dropped a bombshell on me.
