"Aria, we need to call for an emergency pack meeting," Alfa said after Arya had followed him into his office.
Only the two of them were there. That was unusual since mostly all his high ranked members, including his beta and gamma, are always present when the alfa needs to call on a meeting.
"And?" Arya asked, feeling that there was more to what he had said."
"And you have to give your first addressing. Simply speaking, you'll be required to address the pack and tell them about rules and regulations that are there... and changes required... and pack house business... you know... all that," he continued.
"Can I set rules as well?"
"Not before first consulting me! Every rule that is made or changed needs to get my signed approval," Alfa said.
"What happened with Rebecca?" Arya finally asked, wanting to know what rules she should set up so that nothing like this ever happens again.
"Someone threatened Brendon to starve her to death. He just got a call from him, so he doesn't know who made that call," Alfa explained.
"Why would anyone do this?" Arya asked, more to herself after thinking for a while.
"Where is Brendon?" She asked Alfa, her forehead creased as anger rose from within.
"Prison."
"Why don't we begin our meeting there, then," Arya suggested. A fire shone in her eyes, and the sheer determination made Alfa worry.
"Aria, I need you to calm down. I wanted to call the meeting tonight, and the pack will look forward to their lunas' first speech..."
Arya took in a deep breath and cleared her throat. "I want to make a rule where we visit the prison every month, to make sure things are running perfectly."
"That's an incredible idea. I was thinking the same thing," Alfa agreed.
"We also need to make rules on humans and their trust."
"That will have to go through the council. I cannot make a decision regarding another species."
Arya raised her eyebrow. She wanted to ask him what he meant, but didn't, since she already knew the answer.
"And another thing I feel is wrong is the treatment of rejected wolfs. I want there to be a rule where they are treated just like any normal wolf."
Alfa nodded as if he was thinking deeply about this matter.
"You can put it out there and see what the others think of this suggestion," he said, and Arya immediately knew this would go nowhere. These wolves were taught that rejected wolves were way below them and that there was something wrong with them, hence their mates rejecting them. Therefore, they are nothing but burdens who walk the earth.
If Arya had to get this through to them, she had to target the younger wolves. The adolescents. If she could get through to them, they start applying this thought into their daily lives and boom, rejects get a chance to normal lives.
"What time will the meeting start?" Arya finally asked.
"At seven." Alfa's eyes were glowing, and Arya knew that he was telling everyone about the meeting.
Most werewolves could only do one thing, either talk or mindlink. But in Alfa Flowerew's case, the human could talk with other people face to face, while his wolf could talk to other wolves through mindlink.
"Seven? Oh God, I need to prepare... I don't even have good clothes, what will I be wearing? I need to go shopping and... and... buy cosmetics... and... and..."
"Aria, all that is taken care of. You can go to our village shop with Vivien and your cousins and shop till you have enough things," Alfa said.
"Wait! I have clothes, I just need some cosmetics," Arya said, remembering the dresses that Alfa had brought for her before their marking ceremony.
"You go ahead. I'll talk to Ronald about the preparation and the catering."
Arya nodded and left the room, while Alfa called his beta via mindlink.
"Luna, this is the best store in the entire village. It has everything," Vivien chirped happily, as she led her luna and the two humans into a shop.
Vivien was out of the hospital and living in the pack house, and everyone knew that she was Arya's friend. No one bothered her anymore.
"Welcome, luna. Please feel free to see the products and take whatever you need," a middle-aged mad said from behind the counter.
"Is it for free?" Natalie asked.
"No, ma'am. The alfa will pay me back later."
"I'd like some foundation and a setting spray. Do you have them?" Arya asked.
"Yes, luna," he said, then called out, "Max, come here!" Turning back to Arya, he said, "Luna, Max will help you."
After picking out the things they needed and many more unnecessary items, Arya and her gang went back to the pack house.
Vivien helped Arya get ready, and combed her thick, black hair. Vivien was wearing a light blue dress that they had bought earlier and had her hair in a ponytail. She looked beautiful.
Arya wore a long teal- coloured satin gown, pearl hoop earrings, and diamond bracelet.
Vivien tied Arya's hair in a loose bun, with angel wing clips. She also did her makeup, which Arya wanted minimal, as she loved looking natural.
"Luna, the alfa won't be able to remove his eyes from you tonight," Vivien commented, after finishing her work.
Arya looked into the mirror and gasped. She looked like a princess, and she could beat the record for the most beautiful person alive, whoever that is right now.
Eversince coming to Moonsglow, she didn't keep up to date with the most beautiful men and women in the world information.
"Wow, Vivien. You're so amazing in doing hair and makeup. Where'd you learn all this," Arya said, staring into the mirror. "I don't even recognize myself!"
"It was a hobby since I was a little girl..." Vivien said, her cheeks flushing red.
"Well, I hereby pronounce you, Vivien Ferns, as my own personal hair stylist and makeup woman," Arya said, in a dramatic voice.
"It would be my honor, luna, to serve you," Vivien said in the same dramatic voice, giving a little bow.
Both girls laughed.
There was a knock on the door, and Vivien opened it to find a servant. "Yes, Marge?" She said, half smirking.
This was the same servant who used to taunt Vivien every single day. She knew that the pack hated her, and to make her more embarrassed, Marge had forced her to serve dinner on that night when Arya first saw her.
Marge had wanted Vivien to feel broken, but her plan backfired, and now she was assisting their Luna.
"Everyone is waiting for the luna," Marge said, her voice filled with venom. Venom that was directed at Vivien.
"We're coming," Arya called from inside.
"Yes, luna."
