Hearing Canary's question, a commotion instantly erupted within the divine host.
Some gods looked in astonishment at the deities standing beside Indra, seemingly never having expected them to make such a decision.
Another group of gods clenched their fists, their eyes filled with suppressed anger.
In their eyes, Indra's actions were utterly shameful. Submitting to Su Mo was one thing—with the power Su Mo had displayed, he was indeed qualified to be their leader.
But to cast aside the pride of the gods and accept Su Mo's act of demeaning the status of mythological history... that was going too far, a betrayal of their own heritage!
Not to mention, they were mighty gods, yet now they had to suffer the humiliation of declaring their loyalty to Su Mo before Canary.
Traitors to the gods!
Without a doubt, they were all traitors to the gods!
Watching the gods' reactions, Canary raised an eyebrow, gleaning a great deal of information.
It seemed the divine host had not reached a complete consensus, or rather, hadn't had time to.
Some gods were perhaps frightened by the swift arrival of the End Emptiness and hadn't yet recovered their senses, while others... were likely genuinely unwilling to see the history of myth placed beneath the history of humanity, and would rather die than accept a future where the divine authority of the gods was diminished!
However, these gods had clearly failed to realize something. When Canary, a mere human, acting like an imperial envoy accepting their surrender, could cause a commotion within the divine host with just a few words, making billions of gods focus on her every move.
For the Lower Floors, the gods' divine authority had already been weakened at its very root.
Could gods who acted so cautiously around a human, not even daring to breathe too loudly, still be called gods?
Indra, however, noticed this shift, but he didn't care.
Compared to the external image of the gods, he was more concerned with Canary's attitude—or rather, the attitude of Su Mo that she reflected.
Therefore, in response to Canary's question, Indra quickly replied.
"Although not all gods are willing to submit, most of them aren't fools. They won't be stupid enough to drown clinging to the history of myth... With a little guidance, they'll come to think the same way we do."
As he said this, he turned his head to look at the billions of gods behind him.
The moment he turned, this seemingly harmless, decadent old man's eyes suddenly shot out a sharp, warning gaze.
"After all, they wouldn't want to be meaninglessly buried along with their own pantheons by the End Emptiness, would they?"
The pressure of a War God unconsciously radiated across the entire area.
Although his power as a triple-digit being of the highest rank wasn't enough to threaten the true high-end powerhouses of the divine host, upon hearing Indra's words, even the gods unwilling to submit couldn't help but start to reconsider.
The glory of the gods was certainly important, but if their glory and the history of myth were devoured by the End Emptiness, wouldn't they be just like those other pantheons that had completely lost their names and their marks, tossed into the trash heap of history and eroded to the point of non-existence?
If asked to give up their pointless dignity, they would refuse on the spot. But if threatened with the End Emptiness erasing their very names, they could accept the choice of abandoning their so-called dignity.
After all, for any pantheon, losing one's name is a fate more terrifying than any curse.
After delivering an effective deterrent, Indra turned back, once again looking like a useless bum.
"So, Canary, you don't have to worry. They'll give themselves a chance to be persuaded. There's still a large market for us in the pro-submission faction."
He scratched his head and continued.
"There's strength in numbers. Even if these guys are useless, they can at least run errands for Lord Su Mo. And even if Lord Su Mo doesn't want to rule Little Garden using the history of myth, he surely doesn't think it's completely worthless, right?"
"As the saying goes, even a piece of toilet paper has its use. I think Su Mo definitely wouldn't lose out by taking us in."
As he spoke, he proudly puffed out his chest.
The Greek gods and the War Gods standing behind him all turned their heads away, unable to watch. Athena also felt a bit embarrassed.
There's no need to debase yourself to the level of toilet paper, is there?
"...You're exaggerating a little."
Even Canary couldn't stand the sheer force of Indra's self-deprecation.
"Setting you aside, my respected teachers and all the gods who have performed great deeds for the history of humanity at least still possess their divine authority. They don't deserve to be spoken of so poorly."
Hearing Canary say this, the expressions of the gods in the "pro-submission faction" finally returned to normal.
Having the pride of a god was one thing, but being able to accept humiliation was another. Even if not as gods, they at least required the same dignity as humans.
Fortunately, Canary was a good kid and didn't go that far.
Unconsciously, the "pro-submission" gods' impression of Canary improved significantly, at the cost of adding another dark chapter to Indra's history.
"What do you mean, 'setting me aside'? Canary, do you have a problem with me?"
Indra retorted as if he hadn't noticed a thing.
"You're only just realizing that today?"
Canary shot the War God a sidelong glance, then continued to ask.
"Speaking of which, you just mentioned a 'pro-submission faction'. Does that mean you also have a 'pro-war faction' among you?"
Indra immediately shook his head.
What a joke. With the divine host's current power, how could they possibly advocate for war?
Whether it was treating the End Emptiness as an enemy or treating Su Mo as an enemy, neither was something anyone with a normal level of intelligence would do.
After experiencing the previous battles, even the proudest of War Gods now had to admit one thing.
In the realm of combat, Su Mo was invincible.
Therefore, even after being attacked by the End Emptiness, and even while vaguely suspecting Su Mo might be behind it, not a single one of them dared to step forward and accuse him.
It was only when facing Canary, a human, that some gods dared to put on airs. If Su Mo himself were present, few among the billions of gods would even be qualified to speak before him.
Anyone who dared to do so would have died a stupid death long ago.
Thus, among the billions of gods, there was no pro-war faction.
"If possible, we are all willing to accept Lord Su Mo's leadership."
Indra declared resoundingly.
"Oh? Is that so?"
It wasn't that Canary couldn't understand Indra's meaning, nor did she want to make things difficult for her mischievous friend, however—
"It seems someone doesn't quite agree."
She raised an eyebrow, looking towards a nearby War God whose expression was filled with indignation.
