Chapter 591 - Is a Daughter's Daughter Still a Daughter?

There is only one solution for a lack of love: to be given love.

If that's difficult to achieve as a mother, it's perfectly fine as a daughter.

When a mother tells her child not to leave, to stay with her forever, it might hold the child back and breed resentment. But if it's a daughter clinging to her father, saying she wants to be with him forever, there are none of those complications. In any era, a child asking their parents for love is just a form of affection, and it's rarely refused.

"At first, it sounds completely absurd, but when you think about it... it kind of makes sense?" Gudako said after a long silence, her expression one of existential confusion.

"Congratulations! Truly, congratulations! As expected of His Majesty Su Mo!" Merlin, on the other hand, immediately started clapping. "This way, Lady Mother Goddess receives the love of a father, we children don't have to return to the primordial Sea of Life, and the world crisis is averted. It's truly a joyous occasion."

"Aaa—?!"

Even Tiamat herself, after a few seconds of blank thought, had her eyes light up. She excitedly wrapped her arms around Su Mo's neck, her face drawing extremely close to his. Their eyes met, a distance of less than five centimeters between them. Su Mo could even feel Tiamat's sweet breath on his skin.

Her butterfly-shaped pupils were bright yet apprehensive, seemingly nervous.

Everyone could read her attitude. The Primordial Mother Goddess was asking Su Mo to confirm if he truly meant what he said. If Su Mo was willing to accept her love and give her companionship, she would abandon all other thoughts and give him all of her own.

In a way, this Primordial Mother Goddess was a bit of a yandere.

Faced with such a question, Su Mo naturally wouldn't refuse.

"Of course it's true."

Su Mo patted the goddess's head. Besides Tiamat sitting on his lap, his other two daughters, Ishtar and Ereshkigal, were kneeling on either side of his legs. He had so many daughters already, he didn't mind raising one more.

"Aaa?!"

Hearing Su Mo's reply, Tiamat's expression turned to one of extreme joy, and her butterfly pupils literally sparkled with pink hearts.

Then, without the slightest hesitation, the Primordial Mother Goddess pressed her lips against Su Mo's.

Mwah!

It was a kiss filled with affection, containing both a daughter's dependence and adoration for her father, and a mother's tender love and doting for her child. Switching from the role of a mother to that of a daughter for the first time, Tiamat was still clumsy. She only knew how to express her closeness to Su Mo in the most primitive way.

Seeing this, little Ana, who was hiding behind Su Mo, stared with wide eyes, clearly not expecting Tiamat to be so bold.

In reality, it wasn't so much that Tiamat was bold or forward; it was that her mind was completely free of such conventions. The rules of civilization that would only emerge in later ages meant nothing to her. She only followed her heart's primal urges. She wanted to be close to Su Mo, so she got close. There were no other thoughts behind it.

And indeed, aside from the young Ana, Gudako, and Mash, who looked a little surprised and shy, no one else found it strange. Seeing their Mother Goddess tamed by their Father God, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"I never thought it would be resolved this way... but thank goodness, Uruk is saved from destruction!" Gilgamesh's face broke into a smile. As expected of Lord Su Mo. The prophecy from my Clairvoyance has finally been nullified.

"I thought I was going to lose a life this time for sure. Thank goodness for Lord Su Mo," Merlin patted his chest, feigning relief. "But now the competition for little Ana is getting a bit fierce..."

Looking up at little Ana's nervous, flustered, and even slightly jealous expression, Merlin reverted to his usual teasing demeanor.

As if hearing his words, little Ana shot him a murderous glare. "Merlin was completely useless this time. Might as well just kill him!"

The Fou-lookalike immediately threw his hands up in surrender, not daring to say another word. It wasn't that he was afraid of little Ana, but if the purple-haired loli were to whisper poison in Su Mo's ear and make him displeased, he had a feeling he would die a very miserable death.

"Making the Primordial Mother Goddess into a daughter... the Creator God's ideas are truly unexpected. But not having to fight Mother is a good thing. I guess this incident is completely resolved now!" Quetzalcoatl's expression relaxed.

Only Ishtar had a complicated look on her face.

"Following Father God's method, this crisis has indeed been perfectly overcome!" she mused. "But... Tiamat was originally my Mother, and now Father God has become Tiamat's Father. So... am I Father God's daughter, or Father God's daughter's daughter?"

The Goddess of Venus tilted her head, unable to figure out the family hierarchy.

"Both, of course!" Ereshkigal, the Goddess of the Underworld, looked at her idiot sister strangely. "We are Father God's daughters, and at the same time, we are the daughters of Father God's daughter. Isn't that perfectly normal for us gods?"

Hearing this, Ishtar slapped her forehead. "Oh, right! I was almost led astray by all that weird knowledge in Rin's head."

"???"

Rin Tohsaka, who was tucked away in their shared consciousness, was covered in question marks.

What weird knowledge?! You guys are the weird ones!
