For Rin, the worldview of the gods was either too progressive or too primitive, making it difficult for her to accept.
What she found even harder to accept was that, after Su Mo acknowledged her status as his daughter, a joyous Tiamat not only hugged him but also slipped her hand inside his clothes, seemingly intending to strip them off.
"W-wait! What do you think you're doing?!"
Rin could no longer stand by. Seizing control from Ishtar, she immediately half-knelt and grabbed Tiamat's arm, preventing it from delving any further.
"L-Lady Mother Goddess?" Ereshkigal also wore a shocked expression, looking at Tiamat in confusion.
"Aaa—?"
After being acknowledged by Su Mo, Tiamat's mental state had improved significantly. Her eyes were no longer filled with sorrow but overflowed with joy. However, faced with the interference from her two "daughters," she still looked puzzled, letting out a series of coos and murmurs as her soft body began to twist against Su Mo's in a clumsy, unpracticed way.
This primal rhythm was like a dance, yet also like a biological instinct.
"Is this... a mating ritual?" Gudako blinked, her face a canvas of complex emotions as she realized what was happening.
"I believe the Mother Goddess is saying that, to express her love for His Majesty the God-King, she wishes to create new life with Lord Su Mo?" Gilgamesh translated Tiamat's intentions with an awkward tone. To him, this was a matter between parents, and as their child, he probably shouldn't interfere.
"Cr-create new life?" The CPU in Mash's head instantly overheated. "Didn't they just say Lady Tiamat is His Majesty Su Mo's daughter? How can they create life?"
Ishtar and Ereshkigal being his daughters could be explained as a divine inheritance, and Tiamat's previous procreation of the gods was through parthenogenesis, not traditional biological reproduction. In a sense, the Primordial Mother was a virgin wife. That's why Mash hadn't found it too problematic for Ishtar to be both a daughter and a daughter's daughter.
But from the looks of it, what Tiamat wanted to do now was clearly something entirely different, wasn't it? Was she seriously planning to couple with Su Mo and give birth to a daughter or granddaughter?
Faced with Mash's shock, Fujimaru Ritsuka, who was also an ordinary human, quickly calmed down and accepted the situation.
"This is probably just how gods are! I mean, in a lot of myths, humans were created by gods, but the gods still married and had children with them, right?"
As long as inbreeding didn't cause genetic defects, such an act would only face moral criticism. And, unfortunately, creator gods were not bound by morality, as they existed before morality was even formed.
"Senpai, even if you say that..." Mash stood frozen, wanting to refute her but unable to find a reason. After all, in the ancient ethics they had witnessed, this wasn't too big of a deal.
"Relax, relax! Why think so hard about the affairs of gods? Anyway, the Singularity is resolved. Isn't that a good thing?" Gudako waved her hand magnanimously.
"Indeed," Merlin nodded from the side, approving of the human savior's tolerant attitude. "In a way, the Mother Goddess only gave up on destroying the world because Lord Su Mo was willing to respond to her love. If we stop her in such a small matter, she might become disappointed and start destroying the world again."
"Huh?!"
These alarmist words startled Mash. "Does that mean if Lord Su Mo doesn't accept Lady Tiamat's advances, the world will be destroyed?"
Isn't that a slightly ridiculous reason for the world to end?
"It's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's not entirely impossible!" Merlin shrugged.
"Hiss—" Mash sucked in a sharp breath, her gaze towards Su Mo now filled with respect. "So, Lord Su Mo is doing this to save the world? He had no choice but to accept?"
Unconsciously, she was already trying to make excuses for him.
"Let's just say that's the case. It's better for everyone," Merlin nodded with a smile in his eyes.
Naturally, the others weren't oblivious to the same logic. Even the most common-sense-driven Mash had accepted Tiamat's needs. Aside from Rin, none of the other deities had any objections.
While everyone was coming to terms with reality, Fujimaru Ritsuka, who had the potential to be a savior, was already past her doubts and began operating the device on her wrist.
"Thanks to Lord Su Mo, this Singularity was resolved so easily! I have to tell the Doctor and the others this good news right away!" Gudako flashed a healthy smile and began establishing a spiritual communication link.
"Oh, right! The crisis is completely resolved. We need to report back immediately!" Mash finally snapped back to reality and looked at Ritsuka.
Perhaps because they were in the royal palace, which was filled with spiritual energy, the communication link was established with unusual speed.
But before the link with Chaldea was successfully established, Su Mo's voice descended from the throne, echoing throughout the palace.
"The crisis is completely resolved?"
After posing the rhetorical question, Su Mo shook his head and added, "No, not yet."
"There's still one more fellow to deal with."
Hearing Su Mo's words, everyone present—except for Tiamat, who was clinging to him with hearts in her eyes—wore a look of utter shock.
"One more fellow? There's a mastermind behind the scenes?" asked Rin Tohsaka, who was unfamiliar with the specifics of the Singularity.
"No way... Is His Majesty Su Mo planning on dealing with him?" Merlin and Gilgamesh's expressions shifted from shock to incredulous, ecstatic joy.
"...A mastermind? Could it be the one who gave me the Holy Grail?"
"Could it be the bastard who summoned Mother to Uruk?"
Gorgon and the other goddesses were slower on the uptake. The world-ending crisis in Uruk was indeed caused by Tiamat, but in a normal timeline, Tiamat, who had been exiled to Imaginary Number Space, should not have appeared in the present era. A mastermind had used the Holy Grail to interfere with the Foundation of Human Order, summoning Tiamat and causing this disaster.
Many of them knew this, but no one expected Su Mo to bring it up himself.
"Lord Su Mo! Are you saying you're going to take on the mastermind behind the 'Incineration of Human Order'?!"
Gudako finally understood what Su Mo meant.
Based on her past experiences in Singularities, no matter how great her allies were, they always had to part ways in the end. Once a Singularity was resolved, they could no longer help. Because of this psychological habit, she had subconsciously assumed that Su Mo could only help them defeat the boss of this one Singularity.
But who could have imagined that Su Mo, who had only appeared in the Seventh Singularity, would not only casually resolve the greatest threat, Tiamat, but also set his sights beyond the Singularity itself, on the true mastermind behind the Incineration of Human Order!
In other words, this OP patron was going to take on the real enemy they were facing.
"Daddy! Grand-daddy! You're my real dad!"
At that thought, Gudako executed a magnificent sliding kneel, prostrating herself before Su Mo and clinging to his thigh, her face filled with pure, unadulterated excitement.
This! This is the sugar daddy I've been dreaming of!
