Chapter 124 - DB-VFRBIV Chapter 118 The Revival of Frieza

Three days earlier: Main timeline (the protagonist's world).

In the vast expanse of the universe...

A spaceship bearing the iconic emblem of the Frieza Force drifts through the galaxy.

Inside the ship...

Seated primly in a pod resembling a baby carriage was the Emperor of the Universe, who was now five centimeters taller than before.

That's right, this was none other than the former Emperor of the Universe, Frieza! He elegantly held a wine glass, the crimson liquid within swirling lightly with every motion.

"Hohohoho..."

Frieza's thoughts drifted back to one year ago.

His loyal followers, Sorbet and Tagoma, had tirelessly sought a way to revive their master. The Dragon Balls of Earth and New Namek were out of the question.

After all, if their presence were detected in either place, the risks would skyrocket. So, the two commanded the Frieza Force to scour the universe for an alternative method of bringing him back.

By a twist of fate, one of their low-ranking soldiers learned about the legend of Zuno.

Acting on Sorbet's orders, the Frieza Force began their quest to find Zuno.

Finally, after years of searching...

Zuno revealed the existence of the Two-Star Dragon Balls.

And so...

They set out to find the Two-Star Dragon Balls.

After multiple expeditions, they finally discovered the Two-Star Dragon Balls on Planet Cereal. They also captured Monaito, the creator of the Dragon Balls, and took him hostage.

They stationed top-tier medical equipment beside him at all times to prevent suicide.

Even if Monaito tried to kill himself, the machines would keep him alive.

Having learned from Cooler's disastrous experience on New Namek, they came fully prepared this time.

Everything was ready!

With a flash of golden light, the Two-Star Dragon appeared before the gathered Frieza Force soldiers.

Their expressions turned solemn as they awaited this historic moment.

In their eyes, Frieza wasn't just a leader; he was their faith and spiritual pillar.

Although Frieza was one of the most notorious tyrants in the universe, he treated his subordinates with surprising generosity and courtesy.

He never looked down on the weak, as long as they served him loyally, he addressed them politely.

For example, he always referred to Dodoria as "Mr. Dodoria" or "Sir Dodoria."

Anyone who rose to even a minor rank under him received corresponding respect.

Take the Ginyu Force, for instance.

Though their ridiculous dance routines embarrassed him, he never showed anger. In fact, he praised them and patiently watched their entire performance.

Had it been any other cosmic overlord, the Ginyu Force might have been eliminated long ago.

Such as Frieza's own father, King Cold.

As the head of a galactic real estate empire, Frieza commanded a staggering number of subordinates, and his name alone carried weight that rivaled that of certain gods.

Every day, countless beings sought to join the Frieza Force, which remained an ever-growing, thriving organization.

In the skies above Planet Cereal, the Two-Star Dragon loomed large and imposing.

"State your wish. Anything beyond my abilities cannot be granted."

"Then...please resurrect our Lord Frieza!" Sorbet declared solemnly.

Everyone held their breath, waiting for this sacred moment.

The dragon, which resembled a serpentine jiaolong, closed its eyes and spoke. "I am sorry. I cannot grant your wish."

"First, the Lord Frieza you speak of has been dead for a long time. Second, his body has long since disappeared. That complicates matters greatly."

Gasps and murmurs of dismay rippled through the Frieza Force.

"Damn it! You mean there's no way?!' Tagoma snarled, his voice filled with helpless fury.

But then, the Two-Star Dragon's lips curled into a sly smile. "However, that does not mean your wish is impossible."

"But wishes come with a price."

At this, Sorbet perked up instantly. "What price?"

The Two-Star Dragon replied coolly. "A life for a life."

Cold sweat dripped down Sorbet's forehead. He was unsettled by this demand and hesitated, stammering nervously.

"What kind of ridiculous demand is that?!"

Feigning profundity, the dragon answered, "Then it cannot be done."

Sorbet's eyes darted wildly. Of course, he wasn't willing to sacrifice himself. He was the interim leader of the Frieza Force! Once Frieza returned, Sorbet would stand above all others, second only to him.

With a grim expression on his face, Sorbet drew a newly developed laser gun and aimed it at a nearby soldier.

"You! Come here! Make a wish to revive Lord Frieza!"

The terrified soldier's legs trembled violently as Sorbet prodded him forward with his weapon. Shaking, he stumbled toward the Two-Star Dragon.

"You're sacrificing yourself to bring back Lord Frieza! This is a great honor!" Sorbet tried to brainwash him.

The soldier murmured timidly, "Then why don't you do it yourself?"

Smack!

Tagoma struck the soldier across the face with his hand. Without hesitation, he fired his laser, ending the soldier's life instantly.

"This is what happens when you disobey orders! Sacrificing everything, even your life, for Lord Frieza's revival is an honor for all of us! Death itself is nothing to fear!"

Tagoma's words sent shivers through the crowd. The Frieza Force had fallen into chaos, and even Tagoma, whose power level was just over 20,000, could now flaunt his authority.

"I'm willing!"

"I'll do it too!"

Cries of forced "volunteering" echoed through the ranks.

They all understood: either way, death awaited them. At least by volunteering, they could die for their faith.

At that moment, the Two-Star Dragon tilted its head and a wicked smile spread across its face.

"Very well. I can now confirm that your wish will be granted."

Its crimson eyes flared. In an instant, countless Frieza Force soldiers crumbled into piles of white bones.

Wisps of pale blue smoke floated upward from their remains, drifting straight into the dragon's body.

Sorbet and Tagoma stood frozen in horror. The dragon had slaughtered the unwilling and the "volunteers", and it was clearly reveling in the feast.

Moments later, the Two-Star Dragon opened its eyes again and a mysterious light appeared at Sorbet and Tagoma's feet.

Tap—!

Frieza stood there, wide-eyed, taking in his surroundings.

"I...I've been revived? Who are you?"

Sorbet and Tagoma recovered from their shock and scrambled to shower Frieza with flattery and boasts about their "success."

But the newly resurrected Frieza ignored them completely.

He turned his gaze to the Two-Star Dragon.

"Then... farewell," The dragon said, giving him a meaningful look.

Frieza caught the glance and immediately understood. This creature was similar to the Namekian dragon!

As the two Dragon Balls prepared to scatter, Frieza swiftly snatched them up.

He stared at the glowing orbs in his hands. "They didn't turn to stone?"

A knowing smile spread across his face. His wish to grow five centimeters taller was now well within reach.
