Chapter 171 - DB-VFRBIV Chapter 165 The Undead Warrior

Staring at the newly resurrected King Cold, Frieza shifted his gaze to General Rilldo, who had also just returned from oblivion.

It was then that Frieza began to grasp the true nature of the situation.

The King Cold before him was indeed his father… but not the same one he had encountered in Hell. When Frieza killed him just now, he had suddenly realized something crucial: this version of King Cold was substantially weaker than the one from their shared time in the afterlife.

Frieza turned his attention to the unassuming figure beside King Cold, Dr. Myuu.

With a single look, Frieza could tell this man was no ordinary subordinate. He had stayed glued to King Cold's side from the start, and while he looked like a dependent, someone living under King Cold's protection, Frieza hadn't sensed a shred of genuine respect from him.

In fact, when King Cold was vaporized a moment ago, Dr. Myuu had shown a faint trace of disdain rather than sorrow. That was not the behavior of a subordinate toward his superior.

Frieza flickered, and in the next instant, he stood right beside King Cold once more.

But King Cold didn't seem to care that he had just been obliterated; he merely sported a smug grin.

"Heh heh… Frieza, you've gotten stronger; that much is true. But right now, I am undead," King Cold boasted. "You'll never be able to kill me. I don't know what's happened to you, but for now, let me show you a father's love."

With that, King Cold ripped off his battle cloak and assumed a fighting stance, clearly preparing to transform.

"Ahhh!!!"He roared. "Frieza! Let me show you Father's transformation! A form that neither you nor Cooler has ever seen before!"

King Cold's face bulged with veins, his fists clenched tight. His body began to swell and crackle with cellular restructuring; he was transforming into his third, monstrous form.

Dr. Myuu watched in astonishment, with his eyes wide with surprise. He hadn't expected King Cold to still possess such a formidable trump card. If that were the case, defeating Frieza might be possible after all.

After a fit of shattering roars and popping energy...King Cold finally completed his transformation. He looked at Frieza with supreme confidence.

"Well, Frieza? Surprised by this form of mine?"

From that one line, Frieza's realization solidified.

This King Cold was not the one who had spent time with him in Hell. Ten years ago, the original King Cold had already mastered this transformation after leaving the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Yet this one was claiming Frieza had never seen it.

Frieza gave him a cold, amused smile.

"I see… I think I've figured it out. These people must have used some kind of perverse method to 'revive' Father. But it must be the father who was first killed by Son Goku back on Earth. He doesn't have his memories from Hell… which means that even if he trained after being revived, his power wouldn't be anything impressive." Frieza silently thought to himself.

A sly grin stretched across Frieza's lips.

"Oh? Really, Father? This form of yours…" He drawled. "Isn't it the same as the one I'm using right now? What's there to be so surprised about?"

The moment those words were spoken, King Cold's aura of dignity collapsed instantly. Trying to save his remaining pride, he pulled out a scouter and began scanning Frieza's power level.

But when the device finally locked onto Frieza, the number displayed was a comical 5.

King Cold burst out laughing: "Hahaha! Frieza, your power level is only..."

His laughter abruptly cut off. The more he thought about it, the less sense it made. How could Frieza's base form possibly be at only 5? And yet, with that same "5," Frieza had instantly killed him.

"Heh… how foolish. Still using that outdated piece of junk?" Frieza scoffed. "Why don't you take another look, at what my real power is, Father?"

At last, Frieza stopped concealing his power, an overwhelming surge of energy erupted from his body, rising like a destructive tidal wave. This was the result of years of relentless training; his control over his Ki had reached a state of effortless perfection.

The shockwaves from his aura tore through the air, shaking the entire Planet M2 to its core. The oppressive might of the Emperor of the Universe, Frieza, smothered the atmosphere.

King Cold stood frozen in utter disbelief, eyes wide. Beside him, General Rilldo and Dr. Myuu could barely even lift their heads under the crushing pressure.

With a thunderous boom, the scouter at King Cold's temple suddenly exploded.

Frieza drew his aura back in, smirking coldly at his father. "Surprised, Father? I can tell you responsibly, what you just saw isn't even one ten-thousandth of my full power."

"Now then…"

Frieza's tone turned icy. In the blink of an eye, he rushed toward King Cold faster than lightning.

King Cold's body was completely paralyzed, but he showed no trace of fear. Because… he was undead now. Even if he were destroyed, his body would simply reassemble itself.

He was a product of Tuffle technology, an Undead Warrior.

"Come on then, Frieza! You can never kill me, I am undying!" King Cold roared, his face twisted in manic fury.

But in the next second, blood blossomed like a crimson flower behind him.

The splatter of blood struck King Cold's back. He turned around in shock...Only to see Dr. Myuu's severed head rolling across the ground, his body sprawled in a widening pool of blood.

Though his head had been separated from his body, his brain was still functioning; he hadn't died instantly. As blood flooded his senses and his pain receptors screamed, his wide, hateful eyes glared directly at Frieza.

Through gritted teeth, he snarled, "D–Damn you… Frieza…"

Finally, Dr. Myuu went silent.

Frieza's goal was achieved. He believed he had killed the mastermind behind the Tuffle technology.

With one swift kick, Frieza sent Myuu's head rolling to King Cold's side.

"Well then, that's everyone dead once again," Frieza mocked with a cruel smirk. "Although… it seems this one isn't like you two, he doesn't come back to life."

King Cold gazed down at Dr. Myuu's head, his face dark and conflicted. He picked it up, cradling it in his arms.

"Myuu… Dr. Myuu…"

Seeing that pathetic display, Frieza almost laughed; it looked like a master had died and his pet had gone mad. King Cold's expression darkened; at first, it seemed as if he would break down and weep...But instead, he suddenly shouted, his voice manic and crazed:

"Dr. Myuu! Welcome to eternity! Welcome to the ranks of the Undead Warriors!"

A mass of black mist began to swirl before King Cold… And Dr. Myuu stood up once more, fully revived, facing Frieza.

Frieza looked at the corpse still lying on the ground, then at the newly resurrected Dr. Myuu standing before him. His eyes widened in disbelief. For once, he was speechless.

The person he had just killed, whose body was still warm, had returned to life, completely restored.

The revived Dr. Myuu sneered.

"Thank you, Frieza. My hatred for you has reached its peak."

"Now, I too… am one of the immortal Undead Warriors."
