"No way! If you said it, then you definitely have to supervise me!" Sena Hoshino raised her eyebrows and said seriously to Shiki.
Shiki shook his head helplessly. "So what exactly are you saying, Sena-chan? You want me to make sure you don't eat too many sweets, yet you blame me for walking in suddenly and catching you red-handed with dessert."

Plus, Sena had different excuses every day to get Shiki to rub her legs, shoulders, or feet.

Still, Shiki started gently tapping Sena's legs in rhythmic strokes.
"Mmm, that feels amazing. No wonder you're my adorable otouto," Sena said, clearly enjoying herself.

With that, she slumped back against the couch again, this time closing her eyes and wearing a blissful expression.
"Oh right, Shiki—you haven't visited the orphanage in quite some time now. If you have time, want to go with me?"
Now that she mentioned it, Shiki realized just how long it had been since his last visit.
Though he didn't share Sena's deep emotional attachment toward the orphanage, he had accepted Yakushi Kabuto's request. Even though his identity as a spy remained undiscovered, Shiki always honored promises he made.
Besides, there were still plenty of children eagerly anticipating his visits.
At this thought, Shiki's movements paused briefly before resuming their steady tapping rhythm.
"I'll go once I come back."
"Come back?" Sena's brow furrowed as her sharp ears caught the word immediately.
"Because we're going on a mission outside," Shiki slowly bent Sena Hoshino's legs and started massaging her feet.
"Outside? Where?"
While searching for acupoints on Sena's fair feet, Shiki gently replied, "To the Land of Rain."
"That far?" Sena sounded worried. "And I heard it's pretty chaotic there. Supposedly quite a few rogue ninjas are roaming around."
"It'll be fine. Plus Hayate-sensei is going with us."
Sena still looked uneasy. "It just feels kind of unsettling, even though Amegakure and us are allies."
"Allies?" Shiki felt surprised.
"That's right. Didn't you know?"
I really didn't!
Why would the Land of Rain and Konoha be allies?
Wasn't Amegakure still the base of operations for Akatsuki?
Seeing the doubt on Shiki's face, Sena explained, "Amegakure really is our ally. In fact, I heard they'll be sending some ninjas to participate in the Chunin Exams hosted by Konoha. The number of participants from them will be second only to Konoha and Sunagakure."
Suddenly remembering those rain-nin figures appearing at the Chunin Exams in the original story, fragments of clues from the original plot intertwined in Shiki's mind, causing him slight headache.
"Shiki! What's wrong?" Seeing Shiki frowning, Sena couldn't help but ask.
"Nothing, just thinking about something irrelevant," Shiki replied, then calmed himself down and continued massaging Sena's feet with full attention.

After lunch, Shiki returned to his room alone. He thought he needed to sort out his thoughts at least.
As time passed, he found himself forgetting many details from the original story.
