"Oh! Just one glance at Morgan's field is enough to make your head spin!"
"I believe many of you have seen Morgan's Trickstar tactics before, and this duel is the perfect display of them. I think this might be the most valuable final in the Junior Division of the Duelist League so far!"
"Even though Orion has the advantage right now, Morgan is completely avoiding his powerful monsters and is targeting him directly."
"I bet Orion's hand is trembling as he draws, because each draw is going to cost him well over 1000 Life Points!"
The commentator shouted excitedly, and his words resonated with many in the audience. As Morgan's fans, they would never forget the iconic sight of Trickstars swarming the field and burning LP.
When Morgan's turn ended, the crowd once again erupted in chants of her name, as if she were a true idol.
Even Viviana, despite her large fanbase, never had the privilege of using this final-stage arena. Morgan had managed to achieve it in her own way.
Watching this, Isla not only felt admiration for Morgan, but also began thinking of ways to break the deadlock.
Then she suddenly recalled—wasn't the appearance of the mysterious duelist just a few days after Morgan's accident and hospitalization?
In the past, Morgan never played Virtual Duels. Perhaps after her accident with Isla, she couldn't resist the boredom and decided to play them.
In other words, Isla felt she bore half the responsibility for the mysterious duelist's rise.
Thinking this, Isla sighed. She had naturally felt guilty after Morgan's accident, and although she had thought of visiting her in the hospital, she never had the courage, fearing she would be thrown out.
Who could have known things would turn out this way? Life truly is unpredictable.
Her gaze returned to the duel stage. She didn't yet know what Orion would do, but if it were her, she'd prioritize destroying Dark Room of Nightmare, since it boosted the Trickstar deck's burn too much.
If that wasn't possible, she would switch strategies—summon all her high-attack monsters and finish the match in one turn to end the torment.
Now it was up to Orion to decide.
Jade was also watching with concern, though her thoughts were simpler—she just wanted Morgan to win and didn't see herself as Morgan's rival.
From what she could see, Morgan's monsters had low attack and poor resistance.
While they could burn LP, they were fragile against Blue-Eyes.
So once again, she couldn't help but cheer for Morgan—this time, her voice wasn't drowned out by the crowd.
On the duel stage, Orion trembled as he placed his hand on his Deck, but didn't immediately draw—wavering.
After all, what he was drawing wasn't just a card, but his blood!
After a moment's silence, Orion realized stalling wouldn't help. Morgan's strategy was to make him fear drawing cards, and if he didn't even have the courage to sacrifice LP, he wasn't worthy of being her opponent.
After a few deep breaths, Orion calmed himself and shouted:
"My turn, draw!"
He ignored the rapid drop in his Life Points.
Looking at the card he drew—The Melody of Awakening Dragon—he knew it could search two monsters with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF, in other words, Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Albeit since he already had Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon in hand, it wouldn't help much.
After some thought, he decided to stick to his plan—destroy one Trickstar Lycoris, then wipe out Morgan's monsters.
"I activate the Ritual Spell, Chaos Form, from my hand!"
"I Tribute the Blue-Eyes White Dragon on my field to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon from my hand!"
A ritual circle appeared beneath Blue-Eyes White Dragon, blue flames rising as the dragon roared before vanishing. In the next moment, the massive Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon unfurled its blazing blue wings.
[Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon] [Level 8] [ATK: 4000 / DEF: 0]
Its arrival was as intimidating as its raw power—4000 ATK and overwhelming pressure, the stuff of nightmares for many duelists.
But ending the duel in one turn with only Chaos MAX Dragon wasn't enough.
Orion needed more dragons!
"I activate the effect of Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon in my hand!"
"By revealing Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand, I Special Summon this card!"
Orion flipped his Blue-Eyes White Dragon to show Morgan. A piercing dragon cry rang out as the sleeker, deadlier Alternative White Dragon appeared, drawing gasps from the crowd.
Not only did it share Blue-Eyes White Dragon's attack power, but it also had a once-per-turn effect to destroy a monster—making it hard to stop.
"I activate Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon's effect!"
"Once per turn, target 1 monster your opponent controls—destroy it!"
"I destroy your Trickstar Lycoris!"
Pointing at Morgan's Lycoris, Orion commanded his dragon. White-hot energy gathered in its mouth before it unleashed a blast, obliterating Lycoris. Since it was in Defense Position, Morgan took no damage.
But now she had to face the rest of Orion's dragons—especially Chaos MAX Dragon, with its piercing damage.
To maximize damage, Orion would surely have Chaos MAX Dragon attack the last Lycoris.
"Battle! Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon attacks Trickstar Lycoris!"
The dragon's breath engulfed Lycoris, and Morgan lost 2800 LP.
Seeing her LP drop at last, Orion's spirits soared. He was ready to press the attack—until Morgan's face-down card flipped up.
"I activate Magical Cylinders!"
"I Set 1 Magic Cylinder from my Deck or Graveyard to my field."
"If it's Set from the Deck, it can be activated the same turn!"
"I Set Magic Cylinder from my Deck!"
A new face-down card appeared on Morgan's field.
Orion froze.
