Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Paying Tsunade a Visit

As for his personal life, not long after the grand wedding, Shiyu Uchiha began embracing a new, pleasurable yet indulgent lifestyle.

Fortunately, he understood well enough the dangerous nature of the ninja world to avoid getting too lost in sensual pleasures. Instead, he quickly came to his senses, realizing he couldn't afford to become addicted to such distractions. This unique experience actually became a source of personal growth.

Thus, Shiyu Uchiha decided it was time to start teaching his improved Yang Release Secret Jutsu - [Kujaku], to Ling Uzumaki. Truth be told, he had wanted to teach her this technique for quite some time, but recent events kept preventing him from finding sufficient time. It wasn't until after their marriage that he finally found some spare time to begin formal instruction.

However, when Ling Uzumaki actually started practicing, she ran into major difficulties and made barely any progress—almost like she was stuck in place. This wasn't due to any lack of talent on her part, but rather stemmed from inherent issues with the technique itself. Shiyu Uchiha had been able to practice it successfully because of his absorption of that special life force, but this advantage didn't extend to Ling.

Shiyu originally believed there was nothing wrong with the technique he created, yet practical application revealed many small problems, which left him somewhat discouraged. Upon careful analysis, he determined the root cause lay in his immature handling of certain subtle details of Yang Release.

Although Ling specialized in Yang Release, her mastery of this particular aspect wasn't significantly better than Shiyu's. After thorough discussion, they managed to figure out a few things, but not much, while simultaneously discovering even bigger issues. Ultimately, they decided to seek Tsunade's help.

For this purpose, they carefully prepared several gifts, primarily bottles of fine wine. Then the couple Shiyu and Ling Uchiha set off together to visit Tsunade at her home.

On the way, Shiyu noticed breakfast stalls along the street. Considering that Tsunade might not have had time for breakfast yet, he spontaneously bought a few servings. When they finally arrived at Tsunade's house, they found her just waking up with lingering effects of a hangover, being carefully assisted with her morning routine by her young assistant Shizune Kato.

Seeing this, Shiyu quickly offered the purchased breakfast. The three enjoyed their meal while chatting casually. When everyone had more or less finished eating, Shizune Kato stood up and thanked the Uchiha couple, saying, "Thank you, Ling Sister and Brother-in-law." Then she conscientiously began cleaning up.

Before the Uchiha couple could respond, Tsunade directly remarked, "Don't thank him. No good deed comes without an ulterior motive—either scheming or stealing." Though she spoke harshly, as long as it wasn't related to politics, Tsunade didn't mind lending a hand. She had a sharp tongue but a kind heart, through and through.

Though Shiyu Uchiha wasn't angry upon hearing her words, he still retorted slightly, "Shizune indeed is a good child. She'll definitely marry into a good family in the future. Just be sure not to pick up bad habits from someone else!" He especially stressed the word "bad."

After Shiyu Uchiha spoke, Shizune immediately turned bright red, but Tsunade had the opposite reaction—she looked ready to punch someone. Luckily, Ling quickly spoke up, explaining their purpose for coming here and successfully diverting Tsunade's attention.

"Senior Tsunade," Ling cut straight to the chase, "I have a [Yang Release Secret Jutsu] I'd like to consult you about." She made her intentions clear from the start. Ling knew Tsunade hated small talk, so she didn't waste any time beating around the bush.

Upon hearing Ling's words, Tsunade was momentarily taken aback before quickly regaining her composure. "Yang Release? That's pretty rare. Never thought the Uchiha Clan would possess such a technique—it's truly unusual! Let me hear it," she said with genuine curiosity. Truthfully, the question intrigued her.

For a long time, the Uchiha Clan had been renowned across the ninja world for their [kekkei genkai], the [Sharingan], excelling in Yin Release like no other. But this was the first time Tsunade had heard of them having a Yang Release technique. It reminded her of when Tobirama Senju developed the [Bringer-of-Darkness Technique]—just as shocking.

"This is that Yang Release Secret Jutsu called [Kujaku]." Ling carefully pulled a scroll from her robe and handed it to Tsunade. Looking at the scroll before her, a flicker of anticipation rose in Tsunade's chest. She accepted it and, driven by curiosity, slowly unrolled it, beginning to read carefully.

At first, Tsunade flipped through the scroll somewhat casually, since in her eyes, no one alive today could surpass her in Yang Release—not even Orochimaru. Therefore, a question difficult for these two should be effortless for her.

However, as she read deeper, Tsunade gradually shed her dismissive attitude. After finishing the first three sections, she went back to the beginning and read through it again with even more attention. From the basics alone, she noticed many flaws within the technique.

Yet strangely, the overall direction remained largely correct, even touching upon the very core of Yang Release. If successfully cultivated, it would certainly lead to true mastery of Yang Release. Even Tsunade herself had not developed a technique to this level. Her own Yang Release had only reached such a qualitative leap thanks to the natural gifts of the [Senju Clan].

Once she fully understood it, it would bring immense benefits, further solidifying her foundation. Thus, Tsunade gradually devoted herself entirely to studying the scroll. After learning that Shiyu Uchiha had successfully mastered it, she immediately had him demonstrate it, then began asking one question after another.

Tsunade's questions made Shiyu rethink the technique and dig deeper into it. During this process, Tsunade easily deduced that Shiyu must have relied on external help to master it. Just this insight alone earned his deep admiration.

"I succeeded in mastering [Kujaku] by using the power of a special meteorite," Shiyu Uchiha explained to Tsunade. "Unfortunately, the meteorite was destroyed after my use. However, in my opinion, as long as one's chakra possesses the Yang attribute, this secret technique should be cultivable."

It wasn't a lie, but the Meteorite's destruction wasn't quite as complete as he said it was.

Tsunade's face fell with regret as she let out a soft sigh, "What a pity! If only we'd had the chance to study that Meteorite more carefully!" Her voice carried a tinge of disappointment and longing, as if she were deeply fascinated by the Meteorite that grants the Yang Release.
