However, upon hearing Shiyu Uchiha's response, she stopped pressing further and didn't attempt to verify the truth behind his words. After all, everyone had their own secrets. She wasn't someone like the Third Hokage, whose desire for control bordered on obsession.
Then Tsunade continued, "As you said, as long as one's chakra possesses Yang Release characteristics, they qualify to cultivate this Secret Jutsu. But that's only about being qualified—whether the cultivation succeeds is another matter entirely."
"Even to successfully complete just the first part of the first stage would require mastery of certain Yang Release techniques, along with my proper adjustments to the entire Secret Jutsu. That would only take about three to five days."
"As for the second part, I'll need some time, but I believe I can finish it within a month. As for the third part, even if I work on it full-time, it will still take at least a year."
"Even so, successfully cultivating up to the first stage is already the limit. To reach the second stage—even after I've fully perfected it—would be an impossible task unless you're like me, possessing true Yang Release power. Otherwise, we'd have to find another meteorite like the one you mentioned and use its tremendous energy to aid cultivation."
After Tsunade finished speaking, she turned her gaze toward Shiyu Uchiha. However, instead of meeting her gaze, he remained lost in thought over her words.
After a while, he asked hesitantly, "The true Yang Release… Do you mean the power obtained after life energy undergoes qualitative transformation?"
Hearing this question from Shiyu Uchiha, Tsunade's eyes flickered with surprise—so he actually understood what she meant. Nodding approvingly, she replied, "Exactly. Looks like you really do understand a thing or two."
However, Tsunade quickly reminded herself—he wasn't an ordinary kid. He was the clan head of the Uchiha, a family whose depth rivaled that of the Senju Clan. It wasn't surprising that Shiyu was able to grasp her explanation.
What she didn't realize, however, was that much of the Uchiha Clan's knowledge regarding the Mangekyou had been lost when Madara left, and this was something Shiyu had figured out entirely on his own.
Immediately afterward, Tsunade continued, "I can help you perfect your clan's Secret Jutsu, but there is one condition—I want the Uzumaki Clan to also have the qualifications to cultivate and inherit this Secret Jutsu."
"That's naturally not a problem at all. Since you are helping improve it, you'll naturally become one of its co-developers, so you should be able to pass it on to others. But I hope this technique won't end up recorded inside the Scroll of Seals." Shiyu Uchiha agreed to Tsunade's request while simultaneously making a counter-proposal—a test of his own. He wanted to see whether Tsunade would stand firmly on the village's side regarding this matter.
"It seems you're quite wary toward the old man and them. How disappointing, considering your supposed Will of Fire," Tsunade remarked mockingly.
Her tone carried a hint of disdain, as if she believed Shiyu Uchiha was being overly cautious, failing to truly grasp the meaning of the Will of Fire—or perhaps she was mocking the version of the Will of Fire that Konoha promoted today. Maybe even both.
Shiyu Uchiha didn't become angry or excited upon hearing this. Instead, his eyes darkened with thought, and he calmly replied, "The Will of Fire—if it's the Will of Fire of the First and Second Hokages, I'd willingly follow that. They both proved their beliefs with their lives.
If it's the Will of Fire of Sakumo Hatake, I'd believe in that too. Even the Will of Fire followed by you and the other Sannin, I'm willing to place my trust in.
As for the Will of Fire held by the Third and others? If what happened to Sakumo hadn't occurred, I might have believed it a little." He ended with a hint of disdain in his voice.
Tsunade-sama gave a slight frown, clearly at a loss for words in response to Shiyu Uchiha's remarks. After a moment of silence, she slowly asked, "Then how exactly do you view the Third Hokage?"
Shiyu Uchiha offered a faint smile and roughly explained, "Sure, the Third Hokage and the rest were in power for a long time, but their management had issues—they were full of double standards, especially in how they treated the Uchiha Clan. Their actions were unacceptable. And the incident involving Sakumo only made me lose my trust in him further."
Tsunade could only remain silent. Due to her identity and position, it was difficult for her to offer an opinion, though deep down, she somewhat understood his perspective.
Sighing, she said, "Fine then. Since you insist so strongly, I'll respect your views. Still, I hope you can let go of past grievances and work together for Konoha's future." Naturally, she was only offering a passing persuasion—it didn't really matter whether Shiyu listened or not. After all, she herself disapproved of the Third's actions.
Looking at Tsunade, Shiyu slightly smiled. From this test, he also confirmed that Tsunade was a trustworthy person, someone who deeply loved Konoha Village.
With a firm nod, he replied, "I understand, Tsunade-sama. I'll do everything I can for Konoha's future—as long as they don't betray me first."
After Shiyu Uchiha finished speaking, Tsunade went silent. His words once again reminded her of Sakumo Hatake—the legendary ninja praised as the Legend of the White Fang. Then, her thoughts drifted to the fate of the Land of Whirlpool and the Senju Clan, stirring deep emotions within her.
According to the final wishes of Mito Uzumaki, although she had at that time confirmed the matter wasn't directly plotted by Hiruzen Sarutobi, it couldn't be ruled out that he might have gone along with the tide. After all, facing the carefully laid plots from multiple nations across the Ninja World, Konoha—possessing the strongest power in the ninja world—couldn't possibly be completely unaware. Thinking of this, Tsunade's mood grew even heavier, and a nameless anger began to rise within her.
Observing Tsunade's emotional shift, Shiyu and his wife Yurina exchanged a knowing glance. They both understood—today wouldn't yield any results. They helplessly shook their heads, somewhat at a loss over Tsunade's temper.
They knew it was not the right time to trouble Tsunade any further, so Shiyu Uchiha took the initiative and said, "Then we'll head back for now. We'll come see you in a few days to perfect this Secret Jutsu!" With that, he started to get up and leave.
Yet Tsunade suddenly spoke up, "When you come tomorrow, make sure to bring plenty of good wine. Otherwise, don't expect to set foot in my house, understand?" Upon hearing this, Shiyu Uchiha immediately nodded in agreement. "Understood, Tsunade-sama. We've got you covered!" With that, the two seized the opportunity and took their leave.
