Chapter 4 - Chapter IV: Not So Forgiving

Irritation, a throbbing glare that radiated in his eyes as another pipe refused to come undone in the basement of the hotel. He couldn't twist nor turn the one clasp holding a pair of worn down pipes together as they sprayed lightly onto his soaked body.

He couldn't accept defeat under the drop of water with his long hair matted over his burning determination while Angel Dust sat on the stairs admiring the muscular anger that is Noctis with a bowl of popcorn in his hand and a pleaser smile on his face.

"I WILL NOT LOSE TO A PIECE OF METAL!!" Noctis roared in defiance and grabbed the pipe wrench again that was lodged to the clasp.

He growled and flexed every muscle he could with all force of effort in turning this singular piece of metal to close off. It had been a solid hour now and said determination was building into an unecessary rage that made his face turn red as Angel Dust whistled from the stairs at his buttocks clenching.

"SHUT UP ANGEL!!!" Noctis growled and turned to glare at the spider demon watching so smugly. He started to grow annoyed of the perverted demon always bothering him wherever he was working.

"What?" Angel Dust drawled with faux confusion to the situation. "I'm just enjoying the free show."

"There's a foot of water down here and I'm soaked!" Noctis yelled bluntly and went back to fighting the pipe wrench with sheer strength.

Angel promptly commented again about the human and his muscles straining before Charlie and Vaggie came down with some bit of concern to the slowly rising water and Noxtis' well-being.

"I'd let him turn my gears."

"Noctis still struggling?" Vaggie asked as she and Charlie took a seat behind Angel Dust, though both girls had a little fluster on their cheeks at Noctis' soaked body as he screamed in pain of smacking his knuckles.

"YOU'RE MOM IS A WHORE!!!"

"Yup." Angel Dust answered amusedly and held up the popcorn for them to have. "Big boy has been fighting that pipe the entire time."

"TURN YOU DIRTY METAL BASTARD!!!!"

"And you have just been watching?" Charlie asked curiously before she chewed on a mouthful of popcorn.

"Two words princess," Angel Dust replied proudly and pointed at Noctis. "That ass."

Charlie and Vaggie looked away in unison of the flustering fact that Noctis did indeed have a nice backside, groaning in annoyance of their friend being right and how nonchalant he always acted.

"I mean come on." He lowered his tone to a tease as he looked back at them with the same lust he always expressed. "You two can't deny that you'd give it a smack."

The mention of such an idea made their cheeks a little brighter, but Charlie was the one to stand abruptly and try to diffuse the moment by acting the adult she tries to be with everyone that gets out of line.

All the while Vaggie remained silent with her arms crossed, not denying or agreeing…..

"Angel, he is not a piece of meat. You need to stop." Charlie couldn't even convince herself with that firm tone she tried to give. "Noctis is a friend and a valued member of the hotel and I don't think—"

"GOT IT!!" Noctis shouted in victory after he finally got the the clasp to close, making the princess jolt.

Relief washed over before he laughed manically to the small triumph of his work. "I FINALLY GOT YOU TO TURN YOU BASTARD!!!"

Both girls and Angel Dust looked at eachother awkwardly before sharing a bit of laughter at the soaked human sloshing through the flooded basement with a proud smile and his chest puffed. He refused to let their laughter get him down.

"Laugh it up!" He thrusted a knowing finger at the three, eye twitching in annoyance. "But I got the pipe to close when none of you tried to help. So ha ha HAAA!!!"

"Yeah yeah," Angel waved a dismissive hand while Noctis splashed over to the drain valve. "You got it to turn off. Good job baby."

Noctis twitched with agitation, as he was no fool to the tone Angel Dust was giving while Charlie beamed a smile of gratitude at him. He grabbed the drain valve tightly and snapped a glare at the lustful demon.

"EAT A DICK, ANGEL!!!"

"Whip it out!" Angel countered with almost infectious enthusiasm after he stood up readily with Noctis now blushing in his soaked state. "I bet you got a sausage down for me to eat—" he perked up his chest and drawled with want. "Don't you big boy."

Both girls were red as tomatoes and groaning into their hands, annoyed and now crimson with embarrassment as they muttered together.

"Goddammit Angel….."

Noctis looked up from his spot and frowned in silence at the smirking demon still teasingly perking up his chest, but in the end remained silent and shook his head before he continued to turn the drain valve, glaring in disapproval of the flirtstious advances.

Finally the water started to drain of the floor after a few hard turns and felt a sense of accomplishment once it receded.

"Noctis, have you eaten today?" Charlie asked curiously as she worked her way around vaggie and Angel to reach the puddled floor.

Noctis tossed the pipe wrench into the bag of tools he had found earlier in the upstairs utility closet and turned to the princess.

"No I haven't. Alastor told me about the leak earlier this morning so I skipped breakfast and came down to fix it."

Charlie scrunched her nose and pressed a firm hand on his shoulder before gently telling him off.

"You can't keep skipping meals just because my hotel needs renovations. You have to take care of yourself first."

Noctis went to argue with Charlie but found himself in a losing match about his health when Vaggie joined in with a less gentle tone of voice to go with her narrowed eye and crossed arms.

"Charlie's right. Don't be a dipshit. We appreciate that you're putting in so much effort but don't be an idiot. You need to eat!"

Noctis was a little surprised that both girls proceeded to lecture him and went to argue, but as soon as he opened his mouth…..

"NO BUTS!" They raised their voices in unison.

Noctis flinched and stiffened immediately at the intimidating authority of both girls. He jodded vigourously in defeat and perhaps a shred of fear to their commanding presence about his health.

"Yes girls." He gulped thickly with running thoughts of not wanting to be scolded again as they softened their gazes.

Charlie seemed more pleased with that same beaming smile returning while she pointed up the stairs. "Good. Now go upstairs and go eat."

"Now." Vaggie with a firm tone, but the smile on her face showed playfulness to how obedient he started to act.

Noctis bolted up the stairs with a yelp when both girls did the unthinkable by playfuly smacking his backside. He didn't look back and ran up in a soaked fashion with Angel Dust still stooped on the stairs, gawking at him and then back at the smug girls at how they easily commanded the man like an obedient dog.

"Weirdos." Noctis muttered after he was out of earshot.

"What the fuck! No fair!" The spider demon exclaimed and crossed his arms, pouting like a child with a quiet whine. "I wanted to boss him around."

Charlie smiled proudly while her girlfriend wore a smug grin during their ascension of the basement, giggling as all they could think about was how they easily overpowered the human with just their words.

Until it dawned to Charlie what they just did, and her smile melted into wide-eyed horror the moment they reached the top.

"Oh my god we smacked his butt."

Vaggie realized with her the breach of Noctis personal space but merely shrugged it off and continued to grin, resuming their walk to the foyer.

"Eh, he'll be fine."

Later in the Day…

As the work seemed to pile up under Noctis' tiresome day of fixing bits and pieces of the first floor hotel, mainly the kitchen, he couldn't help but overhear the conversation echoing from the foyer between Angel Dust and Charlie about her plan to get demons to come to the hotel.

He could hear the bemusement in Angel Dust's voice to Charlie's enthusiastic idea of going out to recruit sinners as he leaned over the oven to tweak it. He chuckled at her energy and almost found it intoxicating while he turned a wrench to tighten the gas line to the ovens.

"That girl has so much—" he froze at the sound of an explosion and Charlie yelping.

Panic poisoned his mind and body with the various what-ifs to what just happened before his legs finally kicked into action. The first concern was everyone in the foyer as he dashed out of the kitchen and discovered a hole in the wall.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" He screeched in both anger and disbelief before his run took him outside to the gang looking up to a weapon used blimp floating overhead with a certain snake demon proclaiming his name and intentions before it turned into banter between him and the radio demon.

"Who's this idiot!?" Noctis exclaimed with deep dislike and gestured to the hole in the wall. "And did he do that!?"

"Yup." Vaggie said flatly. "His name is Sir Pentious and he keeps attacking the hotel in hopes of bringing down Alastor."

The banter between both demons continued with Alastor baiting Pentious into dismissing his intentions and very existence while Noctis melted from his usually casual demeanor to justified anger that boiled into a tick mark on his forehead.

"Did battle twenty times?" Noctis was just more confused as the banter went on before it clicked in his brain why renovations started with him.

Charlie was afraid of this guy doing more damage after renovations, and that set off the human as the princess spoke softly.

"Noctis, let Alastor handle this."

Quickly he defied Charlie's request to stay out of it and dashed between Alastor and the blimp, glaring with malice.

"HEY ASSHOLE!"

"A human?" Pentious looked absolutely confused as he narrowed his gaze at the fuming man standing between him and Alastor.

"STOP BLOWING UP THE HOTEL!"

Pentious' next expression was shock and anger that something so below his intelligence had the the gall to make orders to him. Charlie and the others were a little more nervous of the possible confrontation though when there were cannons aimed and charged.

"You dare order me, you meat sack!" Pentious hissed dangerously with his finger on the button.

Noctis was fuming now with his sleeves rolled up now and ready for a fight, even given the fact there were weapons aimed on him. It was only Charlie who had the courage to come up behind and grab his shoulders with a shaky laugh as she tried to pull him back.

"Noctis, maybe not go off the deep end," she suggested nervously with her eyes still on the cannons. "Especially when there are CANNONS pointed at us!"

Pentious was more than ready to obliterate them all, especially Alastor, until his finger lifted due to a curious thought that targeted his gaze from the others to his supoosed rival.

"Why do you have a human?"

Alastor stopped checking his own claws with the same mock to his smile for the snake demon. "Oh he's just a guest here."

It was obviously cryptic taunting for Pentious and it drove his determination and focus wild as he remained unaware of the tendrils slithering around his blimp from under.

"But if you must know," the radio demon paused with a darkened smile at knowing what he was doing. "That's for me to know and you to die wondering."

"LET ME GO!" Noctis demanded in a fury as Charlie hugged him from behind to restrain him in knowing he wouldn't thrash too much in fear of hurting her. "ILL KICK HIS ASS ALL OVER THIS HOTEL!"

"No!" Charlie wasn't at all in a struggle thanks to her supernatural strength and growing annoyed by his short-temper. "Let Alastor—"

Everyone froze at the sound of another blast that expanded the same hole.

"What the?" Pentious cocked an eyebrow before he realized what happened and glared back at his egg boys. "You stupid fools! I didn't say fire!"

"Sorry boss."

Noctis was frozen with anger and shock, his mind boiling with the fact that he now had an even larger hole to replace.

He barely glanced back to see the destruction before his tolerance snapped, and both his verbiage and his escape of Charlie became the start of an amusing conflict for the radio demon who was still commmanding his tendrils to cool silently.

"OH YOU ARE SO DEAD!"

"Oh my." Alastor watched with glee as their human friend leapt onto one of the tendrils and skittered up in haste with Charlie now angrily shouting for him to stop.

"Get off my blimp, meatsack!" Pentious barked and attempted to shake the man as he reached the glass , but his blimp moved not an inch thanks to said tendrils.

He gazed around and realization had struck with a wide-eyed sense of dread as the words escaped his breath with newfound fear.

"Oh shit..."

"Bust it open!" Noctis roared back at Alastor, and surprisingly his command was followed through with another tendril branching off and busting the glass open as the snake demon backed away with his egg boys.

"DAMMIT NOCTIS, LISTEN TO CHARLIE!" Vaggie fumed the most but it was too late with the human leaping through the glass hole in a raging fashion and lunging at the snake demon and his egg boys that scattered inside.

"TEACH YOU TO ATTACK CHARLIE'S HOTEL!"

The gang was just standing there in wonder of the various sounds of broken glass, screams, and obvious grunts of fighting as Alastor expressed his praise of their human friend getting physical inside the blimp by laughing whilst maintaining a grip on the weaponized aircraft.

"Should we help him?" Charlie asked worriedly before they all heard the man scream rather foul declarations.

"AS SOON AS I FIND YOUR ASS, MY FOOT IS GOING UP THERE!"

"Why?" Angel was getting a kick out of it as well, his thoughts almost as smug as Alastor's. "I'm kinda enjoying this."

Charlie wasn't so sure though due to underlying feelings as she ringed her hands together repeatedly and looked up with growing concern next to Vaggie, who started to worry as well when the cartoonish fighting had banter now.

"TAKE THAT, HUMAN!"

"GAH! DONT BITE MY ASS YOU SCALY WORM!"

"OVERSIZED MEATHEAD!"

"YOUR MAMA!"

Both the human and the snake were now at a standoff as Alastor started to shake the blimp for fun. Noctis was struggling from being constricted but had his own advantage by headlocking Pentious by his neck while the egg boys tried to separate them.

"Yield!" Pentious wheezed with a not so convincing tone, but Noctis was determined with both the reason of protecting his home and for Charlie that he would win.

"Fuck you." He wheezed back and squeezed Pentious harder with it now a competition to see who passes out first from lack of oxygen.

Until...

"Oh shit!" Both of them screamed in unison before the blimp was tilted, and they were forced to fall out and separate midair.

Noctis thrashed wildly in the air and screamed before his midsection was caught and carefully set down by the radio demon and his tendrils. He put a hand over his chest and breathed rapidly with a newfound fear of falling as Charlie looked him over and saw that he now possessed minor cuts and a couple of bruises.

"I'm fine." Noctis groaned in annoyance of her overbearing touchiness while the taunting continued with Alastor looking down at the snake demon flat on the ground.

"No you're not." Charlie wasn't having it and scolded the man with a firm grip of his wrist. "Do you not understand that when I tell you to not do something I mean it for your own safety!?"

Noctis snapped out of his own selfishness as he saw the intensity behind her unshed tears and felt a building guilt for his rash actions while Alastor dealt with Pentious in an explosive manner after his suit was damaged, showing just a fraction of his true form.

"Charlie I—"

"I don't want to hear it!" She snapped angrily and by the shock of the others had slapped him lightly to control her strength.

Time seemed to stand still at the initial shock of her putting a hand on the surprised human, but she wasn't done with her words when the fear she expressed became the tears she finally shed.

"You're our friend and most importantly under our protection for reasons we don't understand yet. I don't know what the mortal world is like but down here it's life or death every day and you are something any demon would love to get their hands on to hurt or much worse."

"Charlie….." Vaggie whispered in shock of her girlfriend actually showing such care but remained behind her knowing it was necessary.

Noctis pondered on what the princess said and ignored the red stinging on his cheek, letting her continue in a much softer tone now.

"This is hell—" she took both of his hands in hers. "You can't pick a fight with someone just because they are threatening the hotel."

"But—" he paused to look at the hole in the wall and felt his guilt break his firm belief. "This is my home."

Even as angry as she was, Charlie was able to smile at those words while her thumbs ran tenderly against his hands.

"I get that, but you can't let yourself be put in a position like fighting a demon. There are far worse demons out there, some more powerful than Alastor."

"She's right hotstuff." Angel Dust agreed and rested a firm but understanding hand in Noctis' shoulder. "You're a walking target and trust me when I say I know a few demons that would love to make you their plaything, especially my boss."

Silence rang between the two while Angel and Vaggie directed their attention back to Alastor to remind him of the hole in the wall that needed repairs before he decided to take off.

In that silence though Noctis found himself incapable of arguing with the princess and found a sense of humility to complete his understanding that he wasn't on earth anymore nor a nobody. As much as his pride was stung he had to hold himself steady by nodding to her with a soft whisper.

"I'm sorry."

Charlie smiled the way she always would with care and love that was mysterious to him before her arms hands had released his, but her arms had found themselves tight around his torso.

"It's okay. Just don't scare me like that again."

He chuckled softly and hugged her back with the slap from earlier far out of their minds as Alastor summoned a few minions at the expense of the other two reminding him to do his job.

"Right." He whispered in the tender moment while Angel was flirting with one of the shadows.

But with a radio demon there, such moments couldn't last.

"Oh Noctis," Alastor broke them apart, seeing their blushes before he took the human by his shoulder to face to him to the damage. "I believe you have a job to do while i am away for the tailor."

"WHAT!?" Noctis exclaimed, batting his gaze back and forth at the hole and Alastor in hope it wasn't there before the anger fumed. "But this happened because of you!"

The scene now shrinks back to a digital image from a drone as a certain pair of demons watch from the monitor, one in a disarray of shock and anger while the other eyes with lust and various thoughts to the revelation that is Noctis.

"What the fuck is a human doing down here in hell!?"

"Who knows darling, but isn't he a looker!"

The media demon, Vox, infamous for his influence through television was begrudgingly broken of his focus on his arch-rival on the monitor and fuming at the idea that a mortal was down in their realm. He cursed and stomped and thrashed with fury that something so primitive was capable of fighting his minion and stand in the presence of the radio demon.

"It's been seven years!" Vox groaned angrily marched away from the monitor. "Why the fuck is he back now and why would he have a human!?"

His gaze snapped back to his part time boyfriend still listing at the monitor. "Quit eyeballing the meatsack, Val!"

"I can't help it." Valentino whined playfully and blew a puff of smoke that shifted into a vanishing chain around Noctis' zoomed in face. "He looks so yummy."

"Well quit!" Vox stormed back to his monitor.

Val was getting a touch of fun out of taunting the demon with a pinch of his screen. "You still pissed he almost beat you that time?"

"Uh, fuck you!" Vox scoffed before going back to the monitor in deep thinking.

"Just saying." The porn demon clearly mocked as he went back to the monitor as well with a different perspective of the human they now watched order the shadows around in fixing the hole.

A hum of intense thinking played as Vox narrowed his eyes dangerously. He couldn't process that a human was in hell or that he was somehow still alive.

"What are you thinking, darling?" Val was getting intrigued by the intensity as the static suddenly stopped from Vox, but the fristration continued to grow.

"I just don't get it!" He admitted as a plot formed in his head in target of the radio demon. "But things have changed a lot since he left town."

"That's for sure." Valentino couldn't agree more with that same smug grin as one of devilish intentions grew on Vox with his left eyes pulsating.

"I gotta send a message of who's really in charge of things now."

"What about the human?" Val asked curiously as he zoomed the screen to Noctis' backside while tearing busted studs in the hole.

"Ill have something special for him." Vox's expression changed from smug to sinister as he walked away to his private chamber with a song of his own directed to Alastor.

Later that night in the hotel…

"Here keekee," Noctis called for Charlie's pet as he stood in the kitchen testing out the oven by cooking some chicken, dangling the raw meat in his fingertips and waiting for the one eyed demon to appear.

Silence echoed in the kitchen beside the sound of sizzling chicken before the one eyed cat demon came running for the fresh meat he was happy to give her.

"There's the sweet girl." He praised before tossing it in the air and watched as her eye opened with rows of teeth that chomped closed with glee. "Good huh?"

Keekee purred with delight and rubbed all up Noctis' legs as he resumed his cooking with a deep chuckle and overheard arguing that becsme singing in the upstairs for some odd reason about forgiveness.

"Guess Charlie is at it again." He joked playfully while feeling the one eyed demon cat make a leap onto his shoulder, tickling the same cheek where he had a humbling wake-up call.

Keekee remained perfectly still other then her constant nuzzling of the scratch from Charlie that was still mildly red from her nails, but it didn't bother the man when he swallowed the bitter pill of humility. He wasn't sorry for his actions earlier, but he was remorseful for making her so emotional and worry for his well-being.

"You know keekee," he turned off the stove and laid the chicken on an empty plate as the bitter memory of Charlie's tears plagued his emotions. "I thought Charlie was just being naive about all this, but I guess I was in the wrong when it comes to my safety."

Keekee continued her purring and nuzzling as he spoke, unaware of Charlie convincing the others to let Sir Pentious stay after he made a desperate attempt to spy on everyone.

Noctis had no idea what was transpiring as he talked to her with time slipping by in the upstairs chaos of the hotel, not even how Charlie was trying to convince the others to let the snake demon stay and offer a third chance.

He was too hungry from his late night work on the hole and pondering how to approach situations better. The climax of whatever Charlie was singing didn't even reach his ears during his drown of guilt.

"Guess I have a lot to learn." He sighed with driven annoyance of himself for being so arrogant about his capability of protecting himself.

"Noctis." Vaggie came into the kitchen abruptly with her nightgown on and an annoyed look while Charlie was close behind him with a more nervous and excited thought to the revelation unknown to him. "Don't get mad but Charlie did something."

"Did what?" He questioned curiously. He wasn't sure if he wanted to know but something told him it wasn't going to be good considering the others were all with her and hiding Pentious behind them.

He was blushing at Vaggie's attire again before she covered up and Charlie distracted him.

"Hey buddy," Charlie drawled nervously with her feeble attempt of buttering up the human as he looked away from her pajamas hugging her curves.

"Oh crap….." he muttered flatly and braced for what she was to reveal.

"You awesome, good looking guy who is so understanding—" she playfully punched his arm while maintaining composure even when her slap earlier was a visible scratch on his cheek. "How's my favorite man today?"

"What did you do?" Noctis exhaled and leaned back on the nearest counter with his arms crossed as he saw both girls in their evening outfits. "And is it that late?"

Everyone gave a confused look at his expression.

"It's almost midnight." Vaggie replied and pointed to the kitchen clock, frowning with concern like Charlie when the answer befuddled him from his late meal that keekee was now devouring.

"Yeah kid," Husk even raised an eyebrow at the man. "After the blimp thing you fixed the wall with those shadows and kinda disappeared for a bit."

"I did?" Noctis' eyes were wide with disbelief as everyone besides pentious behind them tried to understand his lack of understanding.

"Uh yeah!" Angel Dust said emphatically. "Dude, we had a whole meeting earlier because that snake-ass was putting cameras in our rooms for Vox even when Charlie gave him a chance. And you missed a whole thing of activities Charlie wanted to try."

"But I don't remember....." Noctis rubbed his head as he tried to remember everything after fixing the hole in the wall but pulled only a blank.

"Noctis are you okay?" Charlie was worried by the confusion now on his face while

Pentious remained hidden behind husk and Angel, knowing it wasn't the best time.

Until it dawned to him what Angel said.

"When did that snake shit—" he didn't have a chance to question himself when Alastor moved hastily in front of him and grabbed his face roughly with a surprisingly strong grip.

"Alastor!" Vaggie was about to summon her spear until he shushed her and started looking deep into Noctis' eyes.

"Focus right now." The radio demon ordered bluntly to the man, glaring with his smile at the deep amber color. "What do you remember?"

Noctis didn't budge from Alastor as the subject was changed to a more concerning wonder of the human and his mental stability when he batted his eyes for an answer he couldn't find to the last few hours.

"Charlie slapping me and arguing with you about the hole. That's it."

Alastor nodded and sighed while Charlie felt guilty again for the slap, but the mischievous demon was quick to make an assessment and turn to the princess with his sinister smile growing in both glee and ambition to the climbing mystery of their friend.

"His soul is adjusting."

"Adjusting?" Everyone asked in unison as the radio demon released Noctis and nodded to them and spoke in a wider than normal tone.

"It's rare but some souls after judgment need time to adjust to the realm of hell. Noctis may be experiencing a lucid adjustment where his body and mind shuts down and his soul takes over for a period of time to reduce all motions of any stress in order to ease itself into acclimating to our way of existing."

"But he's not dead nor a sinner." Angel pointed out while the human glared in suspicion after seeing Pentious poke his head out from behind.

Husk added his input while Noctis slowly reached back for the frying pan. "Not to mention that fucking note weeks ago that said to keep his soul intact."

Everyone gazed back at the human as his confusion was gone but replaced with aggression at the sight of the fearful Pentious hiding behind Husk and Angel again.

His grip was shaky with a cast iron skillet gripped tightly as he radiated protective malice for the gang.

"Is that—"

"WAIT!" Charlie shot in front of Noctis to intervene before he could take another step. "HE'S STAYING!"

Noctis' expression shifted from hostile to concern as he watched Charlie grab Pentious and bring him closer, disregarding the nervousness of the snake. He stood there with the skillet still gripped in his hand, frowning with obvious reasons.

"Pentious is staying," the princess smiled nervously while the others watched for his reaction. "And he has something to say."

"Should we worry?" Angel Dust whispered to vaggie as the silence grew between Noctis and Pentious.

Pentious inhaled deeply and mustered an extension of his hand to the bemused man while smiling nervously.

"I am sorry for the damage I caused earlier and for calling you a meatsack."

Noctis didn't reply nor extend his hand to the snake demon. He didn't want to. If anything he wanted to take the skillet and smash it over the sweating demon for all the trouble he caused today. His eyes stayed locked on the demon before he broke away at the touch of Charlie's hands on his chest in a more than friendly manner—not that it went unnoticed by vaggie who surprisingly rested a hand on his arm.

"Please," Charlie whispered and gave him the puppy eyes like she did before to vaggie. "For me."

"Just do it so we can go to bed ." Vaggie told him flatly, emphasizing both need for sleep and an underlying competition to Charlie about touching the man.

Noctis tried to look away but felt the eyes of the princess fill his body with a tingly warmth of comfort. His cheeks ran hot at her adorable gaze as they all waited for him to crack like an egg and show how he had been made putty weeks ago with the closeness between them.

"Please." She whined and added a cute smile while rubbing his chest.

Noctis tried to protest but found himself defeated with a growl before shaking the the snake's hand reluctantly.

"Fine." He grunted and walked away, forgetting the meal keekee stole while Charlie grinned triumphantly.

"Am I safe now?" Pentious asked as they all watched Noctis leave the kitchen.

"As long as you don't piss him off, yes." Vaggie adviser with her tolerance of today down to zero as she dragged Charlie out of the kitchen for bed again.

"Oh…." Pentious cringed at the idea of another fight while everyone else but Alastor followed the girls out to finish the night, leaving the two alone in an awkwardness.

His thoughts broke off though to an earlier memory of the human in his blimp as Alastor stood there observantly with his shadow.

"So….." Pentious drawled and looked away. "About the human and—"

"Let me stop you right there." Alastor purred with a dangerous tone of breath, extending his shadow across the entire room with a cold malice that made the snake realize how powerless he truly was.

Darkness crept in the kitchen with the shivering Pentious watching with a shaky breath as the light was consumed hungrily with nothing but the eyes and smile of the radio demon breathing one warning to him in a distorted voice.

"He is my mystery to rip open for answers...…"

Pentious didn't make room for argument and slithered quickly out of the kitchen in pure terror of his realization, leaving the radio demon to his thoughts that lingered his gaze back to Noctis with a knowing lie.

Saying you are adjusting to our realm will by me some time to crack you open.
